Swanson (1-3) tossed six shutout innings Sunday, allowing only one hit with three strikeouts and three walks while earning the win against the Indians.

The right-hander's first victory of 2019 was memorable, as he posted a season high in walks but also a season low in hits allowed. With this win, Swanson snapped a three-game losing streak, in which he gave up five home runs in 15.2 innings. Overall, he is 1-3 with a 4.94 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 17 strikeouts in 23.2 innings this year. His next start is scheduled for Friday at the Red Sox.

Beeks is in line to pitch in Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Manager Kevin Cash hasn't specified whether Beeks will be used as a traditional starter or bulk reliever out of the bullpen, but the lefty will presumably be deployed in the latter role after thriving in that capacity recently. Over his last two outings, Beeks has covered 11.1 scoreless innings while posting a 13:4 K:BB and scooping up his only win of the season.

Betances (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a throwing program Monday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The reliever hasn't pitched this season with an inflamed right shoulder and suffered a setback during a simulated game in April, but he's set to start throwing next week. Betances still doesn't have a clear timetable for a return, but Hoch reports the club is hoping he'll be ready sometime in June.

Stanek won't serve as the Rays' opening pitcher in Sunday's game against the Orioles after the contest was postponed due to inclement weather in Baltimore, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The Rays and Orioles will make up the contest July 13 as part of a doubleheader. Since Stanek was only expected to pitch an inning or two Sunday, the postponement shouldn't affect the Rays' plans for the full-time members of their rotation. Blake Snell and Charlie Morton are expected to start Monday and Wednesday, respectively, versus Arizona, while the Rays deploy an opener and primary pitcher in the middle game of the series.

Treinen won't be available out of the bullpen for Sunday's series finale in Pittsburgh but reported improvement after receiving anti-inflammatory medication to address tendinitis in his right elbow, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The Athletics plan to re-evaluate Treinen when they return to Oakland on Monday, but the closer is optimistic that the medication combined with a couple days of rest will be enough for him to avoid a trip to the injured list. It's unclear whom Oakland might turn to if a save situation should arise Sunday, as setup ace Lou Trivino only recently overcame a thumb issue while pitchers with prior closing experience like Fernando Rodney and Joakim Soria have both struggled this season.

Frare was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

The White Sox will add Frare and Juan Minaya to the bullpen to replace Carson Fulmer and Jose Ruiz, who were both optioned to Charlotte following Saturday's 15-2 loss to the Red Sox. It's the second big-league stint of the season for Frare, who previously made four appearances and gave up two runs in 2.2 innings.

The Rays recalled Yarbrough from Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Tampa Bay hasn't formally clarified its plans for Yarbrough, but there's a decent chance he's deployed as the primary pitcher behind opener Ryne Stanek in Sunday's series finale with the Orioles. The Rays' top two primary pitchers, Jalen Beeks and Yonny Chirinos, both logged big innings totals Wednesday and Saturday, respectively, and presumably won't be available to provide length out of the bullpen. As a result, Yarbrough and Austin Pruitt look like the top candidates to fill innings behind Stanek.

The Tigers recalled Jimenez from Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.

He'll provide Detroit with an extra relief arm after Drew VerHagen was designated for assignment following Saturday's game against the Royals. Jimenez has yet to debut at the big-league level and will presumably be used in lower-leverage spots in his initial action.

De Leon (elbow) allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks over 1.2 innings in High-A Charlotte's win over Jupiter on Saturday, his first game action since August 2017.

De Leon will be brought along slowly according to manager Kevin Cash, and his rocky outing Saturday confirms why that pace is prudent. The rehabbing right-hander could only get 14 of his 33 pitches into the strike zone, and he'll look to sharpen up during his next trip to the mound in the latter half of the coming week.

Hand had three strikeouts and a walk during a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Mariners on Saturday.

Hand earned the victory in Game 1 of the series and has now delivered nine straight scoreless appearances for Cleveland. The 29-year-old has been lights out to begin the season with a 1.15 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 15.2 innings while converting all 10 save opportunities.
