  • Rangers' Yerry Rodriguez: Rejoins big club

The Rangers recalled Rodriguez from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Round Rock in late May but will rejoin the Rangers ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Mets. Rodriguez has made 12 appearances for Texas this season and has a 6.88 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 12:11 K:BB over 17 innings.

  • Ryan Burr RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Ryan Burr: Recalled from Triple-A

The Blue Jays recalled Burr from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Burr allowed one run over 3.1 innings covering two relief appearances in an earlier stint with Toronto. He figures to operate in low-leverage situations.

  • Brandon Eisert RP | CHW

Blue Jays' Brandon Eisert: Headed back to minors

The Blue Jays optioned Eisert to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Eisert made his major-league debut in Monday's loss to the Red Sox, walking three and allowing one hit but managing to turn in two scoreless innings. He's being sent out in favor of a fresh bullpen arm.

  • Yankees' Anthony Misiewicz: Receiving promotion

The Yankees selected Misiewicz's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Misiewicz, 29, holds a 3.23 ERA and 37:10 K:BB over 30.2 innings this season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He will provide the Yankees with another left-hander in the bullpen.

  • Blue Jays' Trevor Richards: Returns to bullpen

Richards struck out one over two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Red Sox. He gave up no hits and one walk in the 33-pitch appearance.

He had served as an opening pitcher in front of Bowden Francis in two of his previous five appearances, but Richards looks set to occupy a full-time role in the bullpen moving forward. The Blue Jays are expected to bring back Yariel Rodriguez (back) from the 15-day injured list this weekend in Cleveland, and he'll presumably step into the No. 5 spot in the rotation that had previously been covered by Richards-Francis tandem.

  • Eli Villalobos RP | MIA

Tigers' Eli Villalobos: Catches on with Detroit

Villalobos signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers on Monday.

Villalobos made his MLB debut earlier this season with the Marlins, appearing in three games as a reliever and covering 4.1 innings before Miami optioned him back to the minors May 11. He was outrighted off the 40-man roster later that month and elected to become a free agent upon clearing waivers. Villalobos didn't take long to find a new opportunity with the Tigers, who assigned him to the rookie-level Florida Complex League after signing him. Before joining his new organization, Villalobos hadn't pitched since May 24, so he likely just needs some time to get ramped back up before eventually settling into a relief role with Detroit's Triple-A affiliate in Toledo.

  • Matt Foster RP | CHW

White Sox's Matt Foster: Starts up rehab assignment

Foster (elbow) began a rehab assignment Monday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, striking out two over a scoreless inning.

Foster is working his way back from April 2023 Tommy John surgery, so he'll likely need the full 30-day rehab window to get fully ramped up. The right-hander opened his rehab assignment Monday on a positive note and is expected to make at least a few more appearances in the ACL before eventually moving up to one of the White Sox's higher-level affiliates. During his last healthy season in 2022, Foster made 48 appearances out of the White Sox bullpen and turned in a 4.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 45 innings.

  • Royals' Carlos Hernandez: Back in majors

The Royals recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A in late May but will now rejoin the MLB club. Hernandez has made just four big-league appearances this season and has allowed one earned run with one strikeout and three walks over 2.2 innings.

  • Alex Faedo SP | TB

Tigers' Alex Faedo: Ready for rehab assignment

Faedo (hip) is scheduled to join Triple-A Toledo this week to begin a rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.

Faedo has been on the injured list for just under two weeks with right hip inflammation, so he'll likely need just one or two rehab appearances before he's cleared to rejoin the Detroit bullpen. After being deployed mostly in middle relief or long relief earlier in the season, Faedo had moved his way into higher-leverage spots prior to landing on the IL. In his last 11 appearances before being deactivated, Faedo notched one win and six holds.

  • Brady Basso SP | ATH

Athletics' Brady Basso: Returned to Triple-A

The Athletics optioned Basso to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Basso was up with Oakland as the 27th man for Sunday's doubleheader versus the Twins, allowing two runs in two innings in the first game. The lefty will rejoin Las Vegas' rotation.
