  • Emmanuel Clase RP | CLE

Guardians' Emmanuel Clase: Up to 15 saves

Clase earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets, working around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Clase's now pitched three consecutive days while locking down saves in back-to-back outings. He'd allow a one-out single to Francisco Lindor on Tuesday before inducing a game-ending double play off the bat of Pete Alonso. Clase lowered his ERA to a pristine 0.36 with a 0.59 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB across 25.1 innings, and he's now converted a league-leading 15 saves in 18 opportunities.

  • Shelby Miller RP | CHC

Tigers' Shelby Miller: Throws bullpen session

Miller (elbow) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Tuesday marks the first time Miller has thrown off a mound since landing on the injured list May 13 with right ulnar nerve inflammation. He will presumably throw a few more bullpens before progressing to facing live hitters, but there is still a chance the 33-year-old reliever returns to Detroit's bullpen when eligible next Tuesday.

  • Athletics' Scott Alexander: Reinstated from IL

Alexander (ribs) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Alexander was placed on the 15-day injured list at the end of March with a left rib contusion. The left-hander fired a scoreless seventh inning with a strikeout in his most recent rehab appearance for Triple-A Las Vegas. As a result of Alexander's activation, Tyler Ferguson was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move Tuesday.

  • Austin Pruitt RP | TEX

Rangers' Austin Pruitt: Shifted to 60-day IL

The Rangers transferred Pruitt (knee) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

Pruitt was placed on the 15-day IL on April 24 with an injury to his right meniscus but will need more time for recovery. He'll be unable to return until mid-June at the earliest, though it's unclear how far along he is in the recovery process.

  • Clayton Beeter RP | WAS

Yankees' Clayton Beeter: Lands on injured list

Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre placed Beeter on its 7-day injured list Tuesday with an unspecified injury, Conor Foley of YES Network reports.

It's unclear when Beeter suffered the injury, but he last pitched for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on May 15, when he struck out three and walked five over four scoreless innings. The right-hander will be unavailable for at least the next week.

  • Eduard Bazardo RP | SEA

Mariners' Eduard Bazardo: Records first win Monday

Bazardo (1-0) picked up the win against the Yankees on Monday, allowing an earned run on a hit and a walk over 1.2 innings.

Bazardo picked up what was a fairly improbable victory, as he actually allowed the Yankees' lead to expand to 4-1 in the eighth after wiggling out of an inherited bases-loaded jam in the seventh by inducing an inning-ending double play from Giancarlo Stanton. However, the Mariners put together a four-run rally in the ninth, giving them a one-run lead that would stick. Bazardo has now allowed at least one run in three of his first four appearances of the season and has issued a walk in all of them, so he remains a shaky option for the time being despite Monday's success.

  • Tommy Kahnle RP | DET

Yankees' Tommy Kahnle: Slated to return Wednesday

Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Tuesday in an interview with Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Yanks" podcast that Kahnle (shoulder) will be activated from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Boone noted that while he won't use Kahnle on back-to-back days initially, the plan is to deploy the reliever in high-leverage situations right away. Kahnle has been out all season due to a right shoulder injury that dates back to last year. He struck out 11 over five perfect innings on his rehab assignment.

  • Ryan Pressly RP | CHC

Astros' Ryan Pressly: Returns to mound

Pressly threw a scoreless inning without allowing a baserunner and striking out one Monday against the Angels.

Pressly was out for the team's weekend series with finger soreness, but he showed no ill effects in his return. He entered the game in the eighth inning with the Astros down three, presumably because the team wanted to get him some work after the layoff. Pressly has struggled a bit of late, allowing an earned run in half of his last four appearances. He has a 5.19 ERA on the season.

  • Chad Green RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Chad Green: One more rehab appearance on tap

Green (shoulder) threw one inning for Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday and is expected to make another rehab appearance Wednesday, setting him up to potentially join the Blue Jays bullpen this weekend, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The right-hander breezed through his scoreless frame on only nine pitches Sunday, striking out one batter. Green had a strong start to the season before suffering a shoulder strain in mid-April, recording a win, two saves and two holds in seven appearances with a 2.35 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB in 7.2 innings. He should immediately slot back into a high-leverage role upon activation, but Green's save chances will be limited with Jordan Romano back in the ninth inning after beginning the year on the IL.

  • Emmanuel Clase RP | CLE

Guardians' Emmanuel Clase: Cruises to 14th save

Clase earned a save against the Mets on Monday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Clase inherited a two-run lead when he entered in the ninth frame and made quick work of New York, needing just 12 pitches to set down the side in order. The right-hander has yielded just one earned run all season, giving him a sparkling 0.37 ERA through 24.1 frames. Clase has posted an outstanding 24:2 K:BB and is tied for first in the majors with 14 saves.
