Dylan Lee RP | ATL
Braves' Dylan Lee: Not ready for rehab games yet
Lee (shoulder) still isn't ready to begin a rehab assignment, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Lee has been sidelined for nearly two months because of inflammation in his left shoulder but hasn't been cleared for game action yet. Atlanta says the reliever has not encountered any setbacks, though, as they are just proceeding cautiously with him. Lee remains on track to return sometime in August.

Carlos Vargas RP | SEA
Diamondbacks' Carlos Vargas: Dispatched to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks optioned Vargas to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.
Vargas was brought up from Triple-A after Tyler Gilbert was placed on the paternity list, and he'll now return to the minors due to Gilbert's return Wednesday. Vargas was sent to the minors in April after beginning the season with three earned runs across 4.2 frames, and he's recorded an 8.74 ERA and 2.61 WHIP across 22.2 Triple-A frames since then.

Tyler Gilbert RP | CHW
Diamondbacks' Tyler Gilbert: Back from paternity leave
The Diamondbacks reinstated Gilbert from the paternity list Wednesday.
Gilbert made one three-inning appearance with the D-backs before leaving to spend time with his growing family. He allowed one run across three innings while striking out two batters, and he could possibly be a candidate for the fifth spot in Arizona's rotation to begin the second half. Carlos Vargas was optioned to Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move.

Daniel Hudson RP | LAD
Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Moved to 60-day IL
Hudson (knee) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The move was made in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Tyson Miller. Hudson sprained the MCL in his right knee just before the All-Star break and now won't be eligible to return until early September.

Tyson Miller RP | CHW
Dodgers' Tyson Miller: Acquired by Dodgers
The Dodgers acquired Miller from the Brewers on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Miller had been designated for assignment after posting a 5.79 ERA over 9.1 innings this season in the majors. He'll report to Triple-A Oklahoma City for the time being.

Rico Garcia RP | BAL
Nationals' Rico Garcia: Gets minors deal from Nats
Garcia signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Wednesday, Jessica Kleinschmidt of TheComeback.com reports.
Garcia elected free agency Tuesday in lieu of an outright assignment to the Athletics' Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas, but he's found a new organization in short order. He'll report to Triple-A Rochester for now but could eventually get an opportunity in the Nationals bullpen.

Wil Crowe RP | PIT
Pirates' Wil Crowe: Rehabbing in minors
Crowe (shoulder) began a rehab assignment with Single-A Bradenton on July 2 and has struck out two while allowing two hits and one walk over 3.1 scoreless innings across three appearances.
Crowe has been on the IL since April 26 with right shoulder discomfort, but he looks on track to be activated at some point shortly after the All-Star break. The right-hander is expected to be a key part of the bridge to closer David Bednar once he's back in the Pittsburgh bullpen.

Ricky Karcher RP | ARI
Reds' Ricky Karcher: Remains in organization
Karchar cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.
The reliever is no longer on the 40-man roster but will remain in the Reds' organization. Karchar made one scoreless appearance with the Reds last month and has struggled mightily with his control with more walks than strikeouts this season at Louisville.

JT Chargois RP | TEX
Marlins' JT Chargois: Picks up fourth hold
Chargois recorded his fourth hold of the season in Sunday's win over the Phillies, not allowing a hit or a walk in two-thirds of an inning.
Jesus Luzardo got the hook with one out in the seventh inning after hitting Bryson Stott with a pitch, but Chargois quickly induced a double play from Edmundo Sosa. The right-hander hasn't seen much high-leverage usage this season, and over 12 innings since the beginning of June, Chargois has a 3.75 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB.

Cole Sulser RP | TB
Diamondbacks' Cole Sulser: Starts up rehab assignment
Sulser (shoulder) began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League last week and has given up two earned runs on two hits and one walk while striking out four over two innings across two appearances.
Sulser has been stuck on the Diamondbacks' 60-day injured list since early April due to a right shoulder strain and will likely need several more appearances at multiple minor-league affiliates before Arizona is comfortable activating him. The 33-year-old has recorded 15 career saves in the majors, but he's coming off a poor 2022 season in Miami and is now working his way back from a long-term injury. Sulser may have to settle for low-leverage work out of the bullpen once he's ultimately activated.
