Andrew Chafin RP | CIN
Diamondbacks' Andrew Chafin: Blows save but wins
Chafin (2-0) allowed two hits and one walk while striking out four over 1.2 scoreless innings to pick up the win over Kansas City on Monday.
Chafin entered with one out and two runners on in the bottom of eighth inning and allowed a game-tying single to Kyle Isbel. That marked his first blown save in four opportunities, but he was able to walk away with the win in the ninth when Nick Ahmed's fielder's choice plated the winning run. After a dominant stretch to open the season, Chafin's run into a rough patch, allowing three runs on five hits (one home run) and two walks over his last 2.1 innings (three games).

Adrian Morejon RP | SD
Padres' Adrian Morejon: Slated for bullpen session
Morejon (elbow) is expected to toss a bullpen session in Chicago on Tuesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The bullpen session, if it takes place as scheduled, will mark Morejon's first time on a mound since leaving a spring training game due to left arm discomfort in mid-March. The southpaw underwent a subsequent MRI that came back negative, but he was nonetheless placed on the 60-day IL prior to Opening Day. Morejon isn't eligible to come off the injured list until late May.

Wilking Rodriguez RP | NYY
Cardinals' Wilking Rodriguez: Scoreless frame in rehab appearance
Rodriguez (shoulder) threw a scoreless inning for Triple-A Memphis on Sunday during a rehab appearance, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
Rodriguez threw eight pitches in the contest with six landing for strikes. The right-hander was the Cardinals' Rule 5 draft pick in December, and his rehab stint from right shoulder inflammation will expire on May 9. After that, Rodriguez will either need to be promoted to the major-league roster or the Cardinals will have to offer him back to the Yankees.

Drew Pomeranz RP | LAA
Padres' Drew Pomeranz: Getting closer to return
Pomeranz (neck/elbow) will need at least one one more rehab outing before being activated from the injured list, per MLB.com.
Pomeranz has appeared in two games with Single-A Lake Elsinore thus far, hurling two perfect innings and notching one strikeout. It appears the veteran hurler could be ready to join the Padres' bullpen after one more rehab outing, which would be a much-needed boost to a relief corps that is currently without Robert Suarez (elbow) and fellow lefty Adrian Morejon (elbow), among others. Pomeranz hasn't pitched in a big-league game since August of 2021, so he may be used in lower-leverage situations initially.

Bryan Hoeing RP | SD
Marlins' Bryan Hoeing: Slated to start Tuesday
Hoeing will start for the Marlins on Tuesday in Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
He's taking the rotation spot vacated by Trevor Rogers (biceps). Hoeing, 26, struggled mightily during his brief time in the majors last season and was removed from the 40-man roster over the offseason. However, it appears he's earned that spot back after holding a 2.08 ERA and 20:2 K:BB over 17.3 innings at Triple-A Jacksonville. Hoeing isn't a desirable streaming option Tuesday.

Drey Jameson RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Drey Jameson: Optioned to Triple-A
Jameson was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Monday.
He'll cede his spot on the 26-man active roster to Tommy Henry, who who was called up from Triple-A in advance of his start Monday against the Royals. Jameson has labored in his last two starts, lasting just one inning in his most recent outing Sunday. He should join Reno's rotation to work on his efficiency. Though Henry is filling Jameson's spot in the rotation for now, prospect Brandon Pfaadt could eventually occupy the spot if Henry falters in his return to the big leagues.

Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Braves' Collin McHugh: Set to return Tuesday
Atlanta is expected to reinstate McHugh (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
An activation ahead of Monday's series opener with the Marlins had previously been considered, but McHugh will get an extra day to rest up after he stretched out to three innings in his most recent rehab outing Friday with High-A Rome. McHugh, who posted a 2.60 ERA over 58 appearances with Atlanta in 2022 and was off to a strong start to the 2023 campaign before landing on the IL with shoulder inflammation, should settle back into a versatile setup role for the big club once activated.

Brusdar Graterol RP | LAD
Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol: Likely set for paternity leave
The Dodgers are expected to place Graterol on the paternity list prior to Tuesday's series opener in Pittsburgh, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Graterol is one of two Dodgers players who is expected to skip the three-game series in Pittsburgh while awaiting the birth of a child, as Max Muncy (personal) has already been confirmed to be placed on the paternity list. The Dodgers haven't yet announced a replacement on the 26-man active roster for Graterol, but Los Angeles could activate Evan Phillips -- who was placed on the paternity list last Thursday -- in a corresponding move. Phillips should then have a clear path to closing duties throughout the series in Pittsburgh.
