Misiewicz was placed on the 15-day injured list by Arizona on Saturday with a right calf strain.

Misiewicz will miss at least two weeks of action after suffering the calf strain. The left-hander has been replaced on the roster by Austin Adams, with Adams having his contract selected from Reno in a corresponding transaction.

Arizona selected the contract of Adams from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Adams will take the place of Anthony Misiewicz with Misiewicz heading to the 15-day injured list with a strained right calf. The Diamondbacks transferred Carson Kelly (forearm) to the 60-day injured list to make room for Adams on the active roster. Adams will get a chance to work in the mid-to-late innings as a relief option while he's up with the D-Backs.

Covey was claimed off waivers by the Phillies on Saturday from the Dodgers, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Covey was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Thursday, and the right-hander not only is now a part of the Philadelphia organization, but he's likely to start Tuesday, according to Gelb. Whether Covey sticks around for the Phillies going forward will at least partially be determined by how he pitches against the Diamondbacks come Tuesday.

Bukauskas was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Brewers on Saturday with a cervical strain.

A cervical strain is also known as whiplash. The right-hander was replaced on the active roster by Colin Rea, with Rea being recalled from Triple-A Nashville in the corresponding transaction. The Brewers placed Bukauskas on the 15-day injured list retroactive to May 17, so the earliest he could return to the Milwaukee bullpen is the start of June.

The Dodgers signed Giles to a minor-league contract Saturday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Giles held a showcase May 11 for teams, and the Dodgers must have liked what they saw enough to give the right-hander a chance. Giles is not far removed from being one of the best closers in baseball, but he's missed significant time over the past few seasons due to a variety of arm injuries. Los Angeles will have to add Giles to the 40-man roster in order to have him join the club, but if he pitches well in the minors he could be an option for the Dodgers this summer.

Hudson (neck) was activated from Triple-A Memphis' injured list on Saturday ahead of his scheduled start Sunday.

Hudson's been out for a month with neck discomfort. The right-hander struggled to a 5.40 ERA and 1.99 WHIP over his first four starts with Memphis this season. He won't be in consideration for the Cardinals' big-league rotation until he can get his performance back on track.

Cyr pitched a perfect inning, striking out one batter against St. Louis on Friday.

Cyr's first appearance as a Dodger came in the ninth inning with his team up 5-0. The right-hander retired the side in order on just 12 pitches, with his first out being a punchout of Nolan Arenado. Cyr pitched well in stints with Oakland and Philadelphia last season and could stick around in Los Angeles' bullpen, though he'll likely work in low-leverage situations for the time being.

Marte was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Marte made the Phillies' Opening Day roster but is already on his fourth separate stint with the team this season. He's given up 10 earned runs in five MLB innings this year while posting a 6:6 K:BB, but his 3.38 ERA and 16:3 K:BB in 10.2 Triple-A frames suggests that he should be able to handle low-leverage innings in the majors. Erich Uelmen was optioned in a corresponding move.

Alexander (4-0) walked one without allowing a hit or a run in two-thirds of an inning to earn the win Friday over the Marlins.

The left-hander inherited a runner on second base with one out when he relieved Anthony DeSclafani in the sixth inning. Alexander then walked Joey Wendle but retired the next two batters to end the threat with the Giants down 2-1, and they rallied ahead with a three-run inning to put Alexander in line for the victory. With one run allowed over his last 6.1 innings, the 33-year-old is emerging as a sort of fireman in the San Francisco bullpen. He has a 4.96 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB across 16.1 innings but has also picked up four holds and appears to have the trust of manager Gabe Kapler in a variety of situations. Alexander is unlikely to compete for saves.

Mantiply (hamstring) will throw off flat ground Saturday, the Arizona Republic reports.

This will mark Mantiply's first activity since being placed on the injured list May 9 with a strained right hamstring.
