The Reds traded Moreta to the Pirates on Friday in exchange for infielder Kevin Newman.

Moreta was on the shuttle between Triple-A and the majors throughout last season, making 35 appearances for the big-league team (one start) and another 28 for Louisville. The 26-year-old right-hander averaged 96 mph with his fastball in the majors last season and can pull the string with the slider and changeup around 85-88 mph.

The Rays traded Guerra to the Brewers on Friday in exchange for a player to be named later, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

While the Rays didn't see Guerra as worthy of a 40-man roster spot, the Brewers will welcome the 27-year-old righty (not to be confused with the 37-year-old, 11-year MLB veteran of the same name). Milwaukee will be hoping he can refine his command and control a bit.

Herget agreed to a minor-league contract with the Reds on Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander will be in camp with Cincinnati as a non-roster invitee. Herget, 31, pitched in independent ball in 2021 and 2022 before the Rays brought him. He leaned on his changeup more than any other pitch during him brief time with Tampa Bay last season.

Suter agreed to terms with Colorado on Friday, signing a one-year, $3 million contract to avoid arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Suter played his seventh MLB campaign for the Brewers last season, pitching in 54 games as a reliever and posting a 3.78 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 53:22 K:BB over 66.2 innings. He was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on Friday and quickly agreed to terms with the club for the 2023 campaign. Given Colorado's bullpen woes last year, Suter should begin next season in a high-leverage role, possibly as the primary setup man ahead of closer Daniel Bard.

Floro avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.9 million contract with the Marlins on Friday, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.

Floro supplanted Tanner Scott as Miami's closer late last season and finished with 10 saves, seven of which came in the final month of the campaign. He could retain that role in 2023, though it's also possible that the Marlins acquire a reliever with more overpowering stuff to work the ninth inning. Despite the fact that he doesn't post big strikeout numbers, Floro has been a solid contributor since joining Miami in 2021, racking up 25 saves and 16 holds while recording a 2.91 ERA over 117.2 relief innings.

Coonrod avoided arbitration by signing a one-year, $775,000 deal with the Phillies on Friday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Coonrod turned in a 7.82 ERA and 1.50 WHIP through 12.2 innings last season upon returning from a stint on the IL in mid-August. It's possible the 30-year-old righty could find his way back into the Phillies' bullpen after the team ranked 23rd in bullpen ERA last season (4.27), but he would likely need to show significant signs of improvement in order to do so.

Kinley (elbow) signed a three-year extension including a club option for 2026 with the Rockies on Friday.

Kinley was forced to miss the majority of 2022 after undergoing season-ending surgery on his right elbow in July. Prior to his surgery, he had recorded a 0.75 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through 24 innings, putting him on pace for what could've been by far the best season of his career. There's no hard timetable for his return in 2023, but it's likely he will miss at least the first few weeks of the season.

Reed was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Friday.

After being claimed off waivers by Boston in October, Reed was almost immediately dropped from the 40-man roster Tuesday and will now return for his third stint with the Dodgers. Reed bounced between the Dodgers, Orioles and Mets in 2022, recording a 7.02 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 16.2 innings.

Matzek (elbow) signed a two-year, $3.1 million deal Friday that includes a $5.5 million club option for 2025.

Matzek underwent Tommy John surgery on his left elbow in October, so he will almost certainly miss all of the 2023 season. Still, the 32-year-old southpaw has a 2.92 ERA and 1.22 WHIP since joining the Braves in 2020, so it's not much of a surprise to see the team eager to lock him down for the next few years.

Suter was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on Friday.

Suter got off to a rough start last season, posting a 4.58 ERA ahead of the All-Star break, but a 2.87 ERA and 1.05 WHIP during the second half of the season showed that the 33-year-old lefty was still a viable option out of the 'pen. He could be an arm that Colorado relies on often in 2023 as the team looks to improve on a 2022 campaign in which they ranked last in bullpen ERA (4.85).
