Leone (2-0) allowed a run on one hit and a walk with one strikeout in one inning, earning the win Sunday versus the Cardinals.

Leone allowed the game-tying run in the top of the sixth inning on a Harrison Bader groundout. The Giants then retook the lead in their half of the frame with a Mike Yastrzemski solo home run. This was Leone's third run allowed in his last four outings, though one of those runs was unearned. The right-hander has a 3.00 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 11:2 K:BB, one save and two holds through nine innings this season. He's allowing a lot of hits early in the season, but he hasn't often been punished for those mistakes.

Cabrera (1-1) allowed one run on one hit in one inning, taking the loss Sunday versus the Giants.

Cabrera allowed a solo shot to Mike Yastrzemski in the sixth inning, and that was the decisive run in the game. All four runs Cabrera's allowed this season have come on solo home runs, though he was able to escape with a hold in two of those four outings. Aside from the long balls, he's pitched well with a 2.84 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB across 12.2 innings. The southpaw has added three holds while seeing high-leverage work.

Junis allowed two runs on three hits and two walks over five innings in Sunday's win over St. Louis. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Junis turned in a strong outing in which his only blemish was allowing a two-run homer to Juan Yepez in the second inning. He's now given up just two runs while posting a 15:3 K:BB through 15 MLB innings on the year. Oddly enough, the 29-year-old has coughed up 11 runs on five homers through three outings with Triple-A Sacramento this season. As of now, Junis is lined up for a rematch in St. Louis next weekend.

Doval issued one walk in a scoreless ninth inning while striking out two and earning a save over the Cardinals on Sunday.

Doval worked around a two-out walk to secure his fifth save of the season and first since April 25. He brought his ERA back down to 2.84 alongside an 18:6 K:BB through 12.2 innings. The 24-year-old has converted each of his five save chances since blowing an opportunity in his first appearance of the year.

Rainey (0-1) blew the save and took the loss after allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over two-thirds of an inning in a 5-4 defeat Sunday against the Angels.

Rainey entered the game with a two-run lead and struck out the first batter he faced. After a walk and a single, he punched out Mike Trout. Shohei Ohtani then smacked a two-run double off the wall to tie it and was plated on a walk-off single by Anthony Rendon. Rainey had been excellent in his first eight appearances, converting all three of his save opportunities and holding opponents scoreless. The 29-year-old is the lone National to record a save, and his status as closer should not change despite this hiccup.

Hudson allowed three runs on five hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in Sunday's loss to the Giants. He did not factor in the decision.

All three runs that scored against Hudson came during the second inning, with most of the damage coming via LaMonte Wade's two-run homer. He failed to complete at least six innings for the first time since April 17 and saw his ERA climb to 3.56 with a lackluster 18:15 K:BB. Hudson is lined up for a rematch with the Giants at home next week.

Yates (elbow) tossed a 25-pitch bullpen session Friday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The session consisted of only fastballs, and Toscano notes that Yates isn't expected to incorporate breaking pitches in his throwing workouts for at least another week. In any case, Yates' ability to get back on the mound represents a step forward for the right-hander, who is attempting to return from March 2021 Tommy John surgery, the second such procedure of his career. Atlanta is still targeting early August for Yates' return from the 60-day injured list.

VerHagen (hip) is scheduled to make his second rehab appearance at Double-A Springfield during the upcoming week, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

VerHagen is expected to increase his workload from the 1.2 innings and 27 pitches he tossed in his first rehab outing at Triple-A Memphis on May 3. Once he's deemed ready to return from the 10-day injured list, VerHagen is expected to settle into a multi-inning/mop-up role out of the St. Louis bullpen.

Treinen (shoulder) won't undergo an MRI as previously scheduled Monday and will instead begin a rehab program, and he's not expected to return from the injured list until after the All-Star break, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Treinen has been out with the shoulder injury for two weeks, and it's apparently severe enough to sideline him for the next two-plus months. The 33-year-old has yet to resume throwing since landing on the shelf, and he'll likely need to work to strengthen his arm before beginning a throwing program.

Gonzalez (elbow) will undergo arthroscopic debridement surgery that will force him to miss extended time, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Manager Dave Roberts was initially hopeful that Gonzalez would be able to return in mid-to-late May, but the southpaw will be forced to miss extended time due to his procedure. It's possible Gonzalez is able to return prior to the end of the regular season, but his return timetable depends on what the doctors find during his surgery.
