Hudson (2-1) earned the win over Arizona on Thursday, pitching six scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit and three walks while striking out four.

Hudson's control was shaky in the outing, as he threw only 46 of 84 pitches for strikes. However, the right-hander made up for his three free passes by allowing only one hit and keeping the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard for six innings. This was Hudson's second straight impressive win, and he allowed just three hits with an 8:7 K:BB over 12.2 scoreless frames in those outings. The walks may catch up to him eventually, but for now Hudson is rolling, and he'll look to keep the momentum going when he faces Kansas City next week.

Sulser struck out two and allowed a walk across a scoreless 1.1 innings to earn the save Thursday against Washington.

Sulser entered the game with a one-run lead in the eighth inning and with runners on first and second. However, he struck out Josh Bell to end the threat and then worked around a leadoff walk in the final frame to record his first save. Anthony Bender has served as the team's primary closer this season, but he pitched on consecutive days and was likely unavailable Thursday as a result. Sulser has pitched well early in 2022, allowing only one earned run across 8.2 innings while maintaining an 8:4 K:BB.

Roberts allowed three runs on four hits in an inning of relief work during Thursday's loss to Atlanta. He struck out two.

Roberts didn't take the loss, as he entered the contest in the eighth inning with the Cubs already trailing, but he didn't help keep his team in the game, either. The righty has nine strikeouts through seven innings this season, but he's otherwise struggled with a 7.71 ERA and 2.00 WHIP. Roberts should remain in a lower-leverage role until he shows a bit more consistency on the mound.

Moreta allowed a run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning during Thursday's loss to the Padres. He's allowed runs on back-to-back days, raising his ERA to 4.50 despite carrying a 0.90 WHIP.

Moreta has hardly been the worst reliever for the Reds, but he's allowed two homers and a double among his five hits allowed. On the bright side, he has 11 strikeouts in 10 innings pitched.

Santillan struggled in Thursday's loss to the Padres, retiring two batters while hitting two batters, walking another and then giving up a bases-loaded double. A lack of command of his slider was the main culprit for his issues, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. "Right from pitch one, it looked like he was maybe overthrowing his slider a little bit, pulling it," Reds manager David Bell said.

Since nailing down the save on Opening Day, Santillan has declined, picking up one hold over the weekend, but seeing his ERA skyrocket to 8.10 with a WHIP of 1.50. Lucas Sims is now back from the injured list, and Santillan has been pushed down in the closer pecking order as a result.

Ferguson (elbow) is scheduled to make his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Ferguson is expected to pitch the first inning in what will mark his first appearance in affiliated ball since he underwent Tommy John surgery in September 2020. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said earlier this week that he expects Ferguson to make his return from the 10-day injured list around mid-to-late May, so the 25-year-old lefty will be in store for several appearances with Oklahoma City.

Cabrera was issued a one-game suspension for his role in a bench-clearing fight against the Mets on Wednesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Cabrera will be unavailable for Thursday's series opener against the Diamondbacks unless he chooses to appeal his suspension. In his last four appearances, he's earned a win and a hold while tossing 4.2 scoreless innings. Assuming he serves his suspension Thursday, the southpaw will return to the Cardinals' bullpen Friday.

Rogers earned the save during Thursday's 7-5 win over the Reds, allowing one hit and zero walks during a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out one.

Rodgers earned his seventh save of the season and his second in as many days. He currently sports a 0.00 ERA and is 7-for-8 in save opportunities, with his only blown save coming in a multiple-inning save opportunity.

Martinez (1-2) earned the victory during Thursday's 7-5 win over the Reds, allowing two runs on five hits across five innings. He struck out five and walked two.

Martinez coasted through the first four innings but got into trouble in the fifth after allowing a leadoff double to Brandon Drury. Martinez limited the damage to two runs and escaped the inning by getting back-to-back outs to end his outing. Walks remain an issue for the 31-year-old, who has walked 11 batters over his last 14.2 innings. Regardless, he currently sports a 4.12 ERA and will look to build off his solid start Thursday. However, he may soon shift to a bullpen role with Mike Clevinger (knee) nearing a return from the injured list.

Gilbert was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

Gilbert's first major-league appearance this year came as a starter, but he tossed three innings out of the bullpen during Monday's loss to the Dodgers. He'll now head back to the minors, where he's served as a starter in each of his first two outings of the season and will pitch as a starter upon his return. Luis Frias and Tyler Holton were called up to provide additional bullpen depth.
