Alzolay was removed from Friday's start against the Marlins in the second inning with an apparent injury, Russell Dorsey of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Alzolay allowed a run in the first inning Friday then gave up a grand slam in the second before he was visited by a trainer and immediately removed from the game. In total, the right-hander gave up six runs on five hits and a walk while striking out one in 1.1 innings. The nature and severity of the injury aren't yet clear.

Doval was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday.

Doval was called up Tuesday, and he allowed a hit and no walks while striking out four in two scoreless innings Thursday against the Rockies. He's recorded a 5.33 ERA in 25.1 relief innings in the minors and will head back to Triple-A after Anthony DeSclafani (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list.

Quezada (COVID-19) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Aug. 11, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

This opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for Jack Flaherty. Quezada will no be ineligible to return during the minor-league season. He logged an 8.31 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 20 strikeouts in 13 innings over 10 appearances. It's odd for a COVID-19 designation to turn into a 60-day IL placement, so perhaps there's another injury he is dealing with that has not been reported.

Peters was recalled by the Pirates on Friday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Peters has shown very little in 132.2 career major-league innings (24 starts and seven relief appearances), struggling to a 5.83 ERA and 1.61 WHIP with just a 16.7 percent strikeout rate. It looks as though he's up as a reliever for his first opportunity with his new team, after being acquired from the Angels in mid-July in a trade for cash considerations.

Webb was recalled by Atlanta on Friday.

Webb has been passable enough in his 19 major-league innings this season, though his 4.74 ERA and 20.0 percent strikeout rate certainly won't lead to many high-leverage opportunities. He owns a far better 2.21 ERA in 20.1 frames for Triple-A Gwinnett, backed by a strong 34.1 percent strikeout rate. Kyle Muller was optioned in a corresponding move.

Finnegan (4-4) was tagged with the loss during the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Mets after allowing one run on one hit across one-third of an inning.

Finnegan had the task of sending the game to extra innings after the Nationals rallied to score three runs in the top of the seventh, but he allowed a walkoff homer to Pete Alonso with one out. This ended Finnegan's run of 10 straight appearances without allowing an earned run, though his role as the team's closer shouldn't be in jeopardy going forward.

Reyes allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and no walks while striking out two in the ninth inning to earn the save in Thursday's win over the Pirates.

Reyes had allowed just one unearned run in three innings across his last three appearances, but he fared worse in Thursday's outing by giving up a two-run homer to Bryan Reynolds. However, the righty bounced back and struck out the final two batters he faced. Reyes has earned three saves in his last four appearances, boosting his total to 27 on the season, and he's posted a 2.25 ERA with six strikeouts in four innings during that time.

Lamet (forearm) has undergone a procedure to clean out a hip infection, Bill Center of Padres.com reports.

The good news is that the injury has nothing to do with Lamet's forearm. He's reportedly made steady progress in his return from the arm issue, most recently tossing a 20-pitch batting practice session Tuesday. However, manager Jayce Tingler did admit that Lamet's hip procedure will sideline him for at least another week. No further timeline has been established.

White (0-1) allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four across four innings to take the loss Thursday against the Phillies.

White allowed a solo home run in the first inning to Bryce Harper, but was effective in preventing runs otherwise. His three walks are a concern, and he threw 37 of his 59 pitches for strikes while inducing eight whiffs. White has yet to pitch more than four innings in any big-league outing this season, but he could have the chance to stick in the rotation as the Dodgers' pitching staff remains shorthanded.

Beede was placed on the injured list Thursday due to lower back pain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Beede was placed on the injured list earlier Thursday, though the reason was originally undisclosed. His timeline remains unclear, but he could return by Aug. 19 if he progresses quickly enough in his recovery. Beede has struggled since being optioned to Triple-A Sacramento, posting a 6.92 ERA and 2.08 WHIP across 13 innings.
