Machado's contract was selected from Triple-A Rochester prior to Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants.

He has a 0.96 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 9.1 innings over seven appearances at Triple-A. Daniel Hudson (elbow inflammation) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Hudson was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with right elbow inflammation.

The move is retroactive to June 10. Hudson has a 3.60 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 10 strikeouts in five innings over four appearances this month. He has a long history of elbow injuries, including two Tommy John surgeries. Tanner Rainey will step into a setup role in front of closer Brad Hand.

Bass retired the only batter he faced to end the seventh inning Friday, recording his ninth hold of the season in a win over Atlanta.

Entering with two outs and the tying run at third base, Bass got Ozzie Albies to fly out and end the threat. The veteran right-hander has looked much more comfortable in a setup role than he did at the beginning of the year as Miami's closer -- since picking up his first hold May 6, Bass has a 2.08 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB over 13 innings.

Hader allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Friday, striking out two and earning a save over the Pirates.

Hader allowed a single to Bryan Reynolds but still locked down his 15th save in as many chances. The 27-year-old southpaw lowered his season ERA to 0.73 and hasn't given up a run since May 16.

Garcia allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Friday, striking out two and earning a save over Atlanta.

Garcia coughed up a leadoff single to Pablo Sandoval and issued a two-out walk to Ozzie Albies but still managed to convert his 11th save of the season. He lowered his season ERA to 2.42 with a 25:8 K:BB. The 30-year-old righty is 11 for 14 in save chances and has turned in three straight scoreless outings after blowing back-to-back chances earlier this month.

Diaz allowed a hit and struck out two over 1.1 innings to earn the save in Friday's 3-2 win over San Diego.

Diaz got Tommy Pham to fly out to end the eighth inning. The Mets' closer then worked around a Manny Machado single in the ninth to lock down the save. Diaz is now 11-for-12 in saves chances with a 2.92 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 33:7 K:BB across 24.2 innings this year. He's given up just one run in his last 9.1 innings, which came in his lone blown save of the year versus Arizona on June 1.

Castro left Friday's game against the Padres with a stiff neck, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

He gave up two runs on two hits and a walk while recording one out via a strikeout before exiting. It's unclear if he is day-to-day or if he could end up on the injured list.

Nance (1-0) pitched two scoreless innings of relief and earned the win Friday against the Cardinals. He walked a batter and struck out two without giving up a hit.

The 30-year-old rookie has been good so far for the Cubs, as he has now gone 11.1 innings without allowing a run, and he's struck out 13. Friday's win in relief was also the first for Nance at the big-league level. Chicago's bullpen has featured a few surprising performers this season, and Nance is adding his name to that list. He should continue to see opportunities as long as he's pitching well.

Kimbrel recorded one strikeout in a perfect ninth inning Friday against the Cardinals en route to his 16th save.

He has now gone 10 straight appearances without allowing an earned run and has struck out 17 in 9.1 innings while recording nine saves and one win over that impressive three-week stretch.

Bukauskas (elbow) has begun throwing, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

He is out with a right elbow flexor strain and has not pitched since May 14. Bukauskas does not have a timetable to return. He gave up eight earned runs while striking out eight over 11 appearances out of the big-league bullpen.
