Hader pitched a scoreless ninth inning Monday, allowing a walk but striking out one for his second save of the year in a 3-1 win over the Padres.

Hader's only blemish in the inning was surrendering a walk to Fernando Tatis to give the Padres a slim chance to make some noise with Manny Machado and Eric Hosmer following him up in the order. However, the hard-throwing left-hander closed the door and continued his stellar start to the season, as he's now thrown 4.2 scoreless innings and a 9:2 K:BB.

Weathers has earned another start and will remain in the starting rotation for the time being, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Weathers worked 3.2 scoreless frames in his last outing Friday against the Dodgers, and even with the return of Dinelson Lamet (elbow) arriving later in the week, the club plans to keep the southpaw in the rotation moving forward. Lin notes that the Padres may elect to roll with a six-man rotation temporarily as a result of this decision.

Gott's contract was selected by the Giants on Monday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Gott has been working at the Giants' alternate training site since the start of the regular season, but he'll now join the major-league bullpen as part of a shuffle after Steven Duggar and Chadwick Tromp were sent down Monday. Gott made 15 relief appearances for San Francisco last year and recorded four saves while posting a 10.03 ERA and 1.80 WHIP in 11.2 innings.

Moore was placed on the injured list Monday for an unspecified reason, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Although the Phillies haven't officially provided an injury designation for Moore, the southpaw is apparently sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports. It's not clear whether Moore has tested positive for the virus, but he'll be eligible to return to the team as soon as he clears the league's health and safety protocols. If Moore remains sidelined through Friday, Vince Velasquez is likely to take his place as the starter for Friday's game against the Rockies.

Alvarado was placed on the injured list Monday for an unspecified reason, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The Phillies placed two coaches in the league's health and safety protocols, and Alvarado was one of three Phillies to land on the injured list. The fact that the team didn't provide a reason for Alvarado's placement on the IL suggests that he could be on the COVID-19 injured list. If that's the case, Alvarado will be eligible to return once he clears the league's health and safety protocols as long as he doesn't test positive for the virus. Alvarado has posted a 1.59 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB in 5.2 innings this year.

Graterol was charged with a blown save against San Diego on Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk while striking out one over two-thirds of an inning.

Graterol was summoned from the team's alternate site Sunday after missing the beginning of the campaign while working his arm back into game shape. He was summoned in the seventh inning with Los Angeles staked to a 2-1 lead, but the right-hander gave up a single and a double to allow the tying run to score. The rust is understandable given Graterol's long layoff, and he should get plenty of opportunities to pitch in meaningful situations moving forward.

The Padres plan to activate Lamet (elbow) from the 10-day injured list this week to have him start either Tuesday or Wednesday against the Brewers, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Lamet's right elbow apparently checked out fine following a simulated game Thursday, clearing the way for him to make his 2021 debut. He threw approximately 70-to-75 pitches in that outing, so the Padres may be preparing for Lamet to push his count up to the 80-to-90 range in his first start of the season. If Lamet ends up getting the nod Tuesday ahead of Chris Paddack, he would line up for a two-start week. His second turn would then come Sunday in the final game of the Padres' four-game series in Los Angeles with the Dodgers.

Wilson picked up a win in his 2021 debut Sunday, working five innings and giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out one in a 13-4 win over the Cubs.

Atlanta called Wilson up from its taxi squad and moved him into the rotation as a replacement for Max Fried (hamstring), who was placed on the injured list Wednesday. The 23-year-old right-hander didn't dazzle in his first start, but he pounded the zone (50 of his 69 pitches were strikes) and was mostly able to limit the damage while being staked to a big lead for most of the night. With both Fried and Drew Smyly (forearm) on the IL, Wilson should make at least one more turn through the rotation. Wilson's next turn will likely come against the Diamondbacks during the upcoming weekend.

Melancon pitched a perfect ninth inning, striking out one to pick up the save in the win Sunday over the Dodgers.

Melancon is 6-for-6 on save opportunities this season. The closer has allowed just one run and has seven strikeouts in nine innings. He is in a premium spot to be amongst the league leaders in saves throughout the season on a winning Padres team.

Alexander (0-1) allowed one run (zero earned) while pitching two-thirds of an inning to take the loss against the Padres on Sunday.

Alexander recorded the last out of the seventh inning before the leadoff batter and eventual game-winning run in the eighth inning reached via error. Although he didn't allow any hits or walks, he was stuck with the loss. The 31-year-old has only one appearance this season in which he has allowed any runs, otherwise he has 4.1 scoreless innings.
