Kimbrel worked around two walks to pitch a scoreless inning in Sunday's 13-4 loss to Atlanta. He struck out one.

Kimbrel hadn't pitched in five days, so the Cubs brought him in for the ninth inning despite the nine-run deficit. The veteran reliever was able to keep Atlanta off the board in the low-leverage appearance, running his scoreless inning streak to seven to start the season. Chicago is just 6-9 through 15 games, but Kimbrel's performance coming off of disappointing 2019 and 2020 campaigns has been a bright spot so far.

Doval struck out two batters and pitched a perfect seventh inning to earn a hold in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Marlins.

Doval made his major-league debut Sunday. The hard-throwing right-hander struck out Jesus Aguilar on three pitches, then got Garrett Cooper to ground out before fanning Adam Duvall. The 23-year-old Doval spent the bulk of 2019 at High-A San Jose, where he had a 3.83 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 80:34 K:BB across 56.1 innings, all as a reliever. His fastball registered as high as 98 mph Sunday. If he can show strong command, he may stick around the big club for a while.

Rogers picked up his first save of the season Sunday against the Marlins after pitching a scoreless ninth inning.

Rogers tossed seven of his 11 pitches for strikes and closed the door on the Marlins with little trouble, retiring the three batters he faced -- Corey Dickerson, Miguel Rojas and Jorge Alfaro -- via groundouts. Rogers has not allowed a run in any of his last six outings and should operate as the Giants' closer while Jake McGee is on the COVID-19 list.

Diaz allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Sunday and earned a save over the Rockies.

It took Diaz a while to notch his first save, but he picked up two against Colorado this weekend. After Trevor Story knocked a two-out single, he was caught stealing to secure the game for the Mets. Diaz now owns a 3.18 ERA and 7:2 K:BB through 5.2 frames.

Feyereisen (0-1) allowed an unearned run on a hit and walk with one strikeout in one inning Sunday versus the Pirates. He took the extra-inning loss.

Feyereisen allowed a leadoff double by Colin Moran that scored Bryan Reynolds in the 10th inning. The 28-year-old Feyereisen has yet to allow an earned run this season -- both runs against him in eight appearances have come unearned. He has added seven strikeouts and a hold across eight innings. The right-hander is likely to continue in mainly low-leverage assignments.

The Dodgers optioned Vesia to their taxi squad Sunday.

Vesia's demotion clears a spot in the Dodgers bullpen for Brusdar Graterol (conditioning), who was activated from the injured list ahead of Sunday's series finale in San Diego. The 25-year-old lefty was up with the Dodgers for only one day and didn't appear in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Padres.

Graterol is ready to make his 2021 debut after a bout with COVID-19 earlier in the spring kept him behind the rest of the Dodgers' bullpen arms during camp. The hard-throwing right-hander has since been able to regain full conditioning at the Dodgers' alternate site, and his addition to the active roster should strengthen the bridge to closer Kenley Jansen. In his first season with Los Angeles in 2020, Graterol supplied a 3.09 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB in 23.1 innings.

Suero was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left oblique strain, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

Suero was removed from Saturday's win over Arizona with what was initially labeled as a left side injury, but follow-up tests revealed that he was dealing with a more serious oblique strain. Given the volatile recovery timelines associated with oblique injuries, Suero could be sidelined longer than the minimum 10 days. Washington recalled right-hander Ryne Harper from its alternate site to fill Suero's spot in the bullpen.

The Diamondbacks recalled Bukauskas from their taxi squad Sunday.

The 24-year-old right-hander will receive his first MLB call-up on the heels of an impressive spring training. Arizona may let Bukauskas get his feet wet in lower-leverage spots out of the bullpen initially, but he could quickly seize a more prominent role given the club's lack of reliable late-inning arms. Bukauskas boasts a mid-90s fastball and plus slider that should allow him to find success out of the bullpen.

Gilbreath was optioned to the alternate training site after Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets.

The 28-year-old joined the big-league club as the 27th man for the twin bill, but he didn't appear in either contest. Gilbreath received his first look in the majors but has yet to make his debut in the big leagues.
