Williams (4-1) picked up the win in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, giving up two hits over two scoreless innings of relief. He struck out one without walking a batter.

His emergence as a right-handed version of Josh Hader gives the Brewers' bullpen a bright future, even if they'll ultimately fall short of the playoffs. Williams has posted a 0.33 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 53:9 K:BB with nine holds in 22 appearances (27 innings).

Suter didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, allowing two hits and a walk over four scoreless innings in a 3-0 win. He struck out four.

In his longest outing of the year, Suter tossed 59 pitches (36 strikes) before handing things over to the bullpen. The southpaw likely won't pitch again this season, leaving him with a 3.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:5 K:BB through 31.2 innings over 16 appearances (four starts).

Boxberger (1-0) walked one in a scoreless ninth inning and earned the win against the Yankees on Friday.

Boxberger walked Giancarlo Stanton to open the ninth but was able to induce a 6-4-3 double play and another groundout to send the game into extras. The Marlins would end up taking the lead in the top half of the 10th, which put Boxberger in line for his first win of 2020. The 32-year-old has a 3.00 ERA and an 18:8 K:BB across 18 innings and has become a reliable late-inning bullpen option for Miami.

Patino (1-0) pitched a scoreless inning, walking one and fanning two, to earn the win Friday against the Giants in Game 2 of a doubleheader.

Patino has given up one or fewer runs in eight of his last nine appearances out of the bullpen, posting a 3.29 ERA with a 1.68 WHIP in 13.2 innings during that span. He has pitched just three times this month, though, so he might not play a major role for the Padres during their upcoming postseason run.

Coonrod allowed three runs on two hits and a walk while fanning one in one-third of an inning and was tagged with the loss against the Padres on Friday.

Coonrod entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning looking to close things out for the Giants, but he didn't have his best stuff and the Padres took advantage of that. He recorded one out and allowed two baserunners -- from a single and a walk -- before allowing a walkoff homer to Trent Grisham. This was Coonrod's second straight blown save, and he might be removed from late-inning duties moving forward, although that'll only be relevant if the Giants make the playoffs.

Clarke (3-0) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks while fanning five across five innings to earn the win in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Colorado on Friday.

Clarke gave up four runs in the first two innings but settled down afterwards to secure his third win of the season despite not having his best stuff in this one. He has shifted between the rotation and the bullpen this season, but he is unlikely to pitch again with only two games left on the schedule.

Iglesias earned a hold after striking out two in a scoreless eighth inning against the Twins on Friday. He allowed one hit.

Manager David Bell was operating as if this were a playoff game, and he would have gone to Iglesias for a second inning if the Reds had not tacked on three more runs in the top of the ninth to make it 7-2. With a more comfortable lead, Bell decided to bring in Wade Miley to finish out the game. Iglesias had a bit of a rocky start to the season, but he's been excellent since and now has a 2.93 ERA to go along with eight saves.

Lamet suffered an elbow injury during Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against San Francisco, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Lamet was pulled from Friday's nightcap in the fourth inning, and the team revealed that he's dealing with an elbow injury. The severity of the injury isn't yet known, and it's unclear whether the issue will impact his availability during the postseason.

Davidson was recalled by Atlanta on Friday and will start Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Davidson has pitched effectively recently at the alternate training site, and he'll make his major-league debut Saturday during the Braves' penultimate game. The southpaw was dominant in the upper levels of the minors last season, posting a 2.15 ERA and 134:54 K:BB over 129.2 innings during 25 starts. Davidson should be built up to a full workload for his first outing in the big leagues.

Lamet exited Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against the Giants with an apparent injury, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Lamet struggled slightly in the fourth frame as he allowed a run to come across, and he left the game with a trainer with two outs in the inning. The nature and severity of his injury remain to be seen.
