Wilson was recalled from the Braves' alternate training site Sunday.

He will take the roster spot of Chad Sobotka, who was sent down following Saturday's game. This marks Wilson's second stint with the big-league team this year; he gave up two runs and walked four over 1.2 innings in his lone appearance back on Aug. 11. There's still some hope for Wilson as a starter long term, but he will likely work out of the bullpen again this time around, pitching mostly unimportant innings.

Gallegos allowed no runs on no hits and zero walks while striking out one over two-thirds of an inning as he earned the save in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

Gallegos was charged with a loss during his last appearance as he struggled to limit baserunners, but he got things under control in Friday's matinee to shut the door on the Cubs. The right-hander hasn't allowed any runs in nine of his 10 appearances this season, and he now has a 1.00 ERA and 0.56 WHIP over nine innings. Even with Andrew Miller back in the Cardinals' bullpen, Gallegos could continue to see save chances.

Bard picked up the save Saturday against the Dodgers, tossing a scoreless inning and allowing one hit while striking out two.

Bard entered the game in the ninth inning staked to a 5-2 lead and made relatively easy work of the Dodgers, allowing only a one-out single to A.J. Pollock. Over his last five outings, Bard has picked up four saves and one win while allowing only one run in five innings. He has a 3.71 ERA on the season and appears to have a firm hold on the closer position in Colorado.

Hader (0-1) allowed one earned run on two hits to take the loss Saturday against Cleveland.

Hader came into the game in the bottom of the ninth inning looking to keep the game knotted at two. However, he allowed a leadoff double followed by a wild pitch and single to allow the winning run to cross the plate. The pair of hits were the first allowed by Hader this season, though he has surrendered 10 free passes across 11.2 innings. Overall, he has a 2.31 ERA with 18 punchouts and remains the clear closer in Milwaukee.

Howard (1-2) allowed three earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out three across four innings to take the loss Saturday against the Mets.

Howard put up two scoreless innings to begin the game but allowed all four of his hits and three runs across the last two frames. That resulted in an early hook, and Howard has now failed to complete five innings in four of his first five major-league starts. Across 20.2 frames, hes maintained a 5.66 ERA with an 18:8 K:BB. He'll look to get improved results in his next outing, currently projected to come Friday at the Marlins.

Antone will start Sunday against the Pirates, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Manager David Bell will take advantage of Monday's off day and give Sonny Gray and the rest of his starters a couple extra days before their next starts, so Antone will make a start for the second weekend in a row.

Alzolay (0-1) took the loss in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, as he allowed two runs across 2.2 innings. He gave up two hits and five walks while striking out four.

The five walks really hurt Alzolay and contributed to his quick hook, as he needed 78 pitches to retire just eight batters. The righty was recalled as the team's 29th player for the doubleheader and will likely get sent back to Chicago's alternate training site. He remains an option to make spot starts the rest of the season.

Miller was recalled by the Cubs for Game 2 of the team's doubleheader against the Cardinals on Saturday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Miller was called up for the second time this season in order to give the Cubs another arm out of the bullpen for Saturday's nightcap.

Hernandez (lat) was transferred to the 45-day injured list Saturday and will therefore miss the remainder of the season.

Hernandez left his start Tuesday against the Blue Jays with right lat soreness, and the issue is evidently bad enough that he'll wind up getting shut down for the year. He'll end his third big-league season with a 3.16 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP in six starts. Both his 32.1 percent strikeout rate and 4.7 percent walk rate were excellent, though he'll head into 2021 with a fair amount of risk given his injury and the small size of his promising sample this season.

Hudson will start Sunday rather than starting the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader as previously scheduled, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Hudson will slide back into the spot that had been occupied by Kwang Hyun Kim, who landed on the injured list with a kidney issue Saturday. The Cardinals will go with a bullpen game for the second of Saturday's two contests.
