Pomeranz tossed a scoreless sixth inning out of the bullpen in Monday's victory over the Pirates. He allowed two hits but did strike out three batters.

Pomeranz allowed runners to reach second and third base with two outs, but he was able to escape the jam by punching out his third batter of the inning. He has struck out five batters over two innings since joining the Brewers prior to the trade deadline, and now owns a 13:1 K:BB over 7.1 innings since moving to a relief role in late July while still with the Giants.

Helsley fired three scoreless innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Monday, allowing a hit and four walks while recording two strikeouts.

Helsley was just recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Sunday for yet another big-league stint, and manager Mike Shildt put him right to work in order to preserve some of his other bullpen arms. Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Helsley hasn't been ruled out by Shildt as a possible opener candidate if the Cardinals occasionally deploy a "bullpen day" strategy down the stretch. The right-hander had been serving as a starter with the Redbirds to prep for a multi-inning role in the majors akin to the one he filled Monday.

Wilson gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless eighth inning during the first game of Monday's doubleheader sweep of the Marlins.

The southpaw has been one of the more dependable arms in the Mets' bullpen since coming off the IL, posting a 0.79 ERA and 10:6 K:BB through 11.1 innings since the beginning of July with two wins and four holds. Wilson's current 2.61 ERA on the season would be the best mark of his career since his rookie campaign with Pittsburgh in 2013.

Hader allowed a run on two hits but struck out two over 1.1 innings against the Pirates on Monday en route to the save.

One of his three blown saves this season came against the Pirates, but he had enough insurance to avoid that Monday. With a 1-5 record and 2.68 ERA, Hader isn't the most stellar closer in those categories, but he does have 25 saves, a 0.78 WHIP and 98 strikeouts in 53.2 innings. He has 10 strikeouts in his last six frames.

Reyes (pectoral) threw a bullpen session Monday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Reyes returned to throwing off a mound last week, and Monday's bullpen session was another positive step. The Cardinals are still hoping Reyes may be able to return the majors when rosters expand in September.

Iglesias struck out the final batter of Monday's contest against the Angels for the save.

Iglesias entered in the ninth inning with two outs and a runner on first base in a three-run ballgame, though he was able to fan Shohei Otani to secure the victory. Iglesias has now turned in six scoreless outings, picking up five saves while striking out seven over that stretch (5.1 innings).

Dominguez (elbow) has started a throwing program and is making solid progress, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

The details surrounding Dominguez's progress in his throwing program weren't revealed, though per Montemurro, the right-hander remains on track. The Phillies have yet to reveal a timetable for Dominguez's return.

Manager Mickey Callaway confirmed Monday that Diaz is the closer and he's "going to be our closer," Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Callaway hinted Sunday that Diaz may be losing his grip on the closer's role, though he was singing a different tune Monday. Diaz continued to struggle during Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader with the Marlins, hitting a batter and walking one in a scoreless ninth inning, though all signs point to him remaining the team's closer moving forward.

Holmes (triceps) was sent out on a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on Monday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Holmes has been on the injured list since July 24 due to right triceps inflammation, but he was able to toss simulated batting practice Friday and has since been cleared for a rehab stint. He should only need a few minor-league appearances before being reinstated given his brief absence.

Voth (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Monday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

This is an encouraging step for Voth, who has been sidelined since July 20 with tendinitis in his shoulder. The Nationals are expected to proceed cautiously with the 27-year-old right-hander, leaving him without a timetable for his return.
