The Dodgers optioned Davis to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Since April 28, Davis has been back and forth between Triple-A Oklahoma City and Los Angeles. Sauer gave up a run in 1.2 innings during his lone MLB appearance April 7. Since then, he's surrendered just two runs in 11.2 frames while striking out 12 batters and walking one in Triple-A. Sauer may be a candidate to replace Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) in the starting rotation, though the Dodgers haven't yet specified what the former's role will be while he's with the big club. Noah Davis was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

The Mets plan to call up Waddell from Triple-A Syracuse to serve as a starter or bulk reliever in Wednesday's game versus the Diamondbacks at Citi Field, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Waddell has posted a 1.54 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB through five starts and 23.1 innings this season with Triple-A Syracuse. The Pirates placed Santana (personal) on the bereavement list Tuesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

  • Pirates' Hunter Stratton: Recalled from Triple-A

The Pirates recalled Stratton from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Stratton -- who has allowed seven runs with a 9:4 K:BB in 11.2 innings with Indianapolis this season -- is taking the roster spot vacated by Dennis Santana, who was placed on the bereavement list. He will likely be up only for a few days while Santana is away.

The right-hander recorded five saves and 18 holds with a 3.21 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 77:15 K:BB across 70 innings last season and should fill a high-leverage role again in 2025. Justin Martinez and Shelby Miller are likely to remain the favorite for saves initially, but Ginkel could see some chances with A.J. Puk (elbow) on the injured list.
