The Nationals transferred Ferrer's (shoulder) rehab assignment to Double-A Harrisburg on Tuesday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
Ferrer appeared in one game in the Florida Complex League, allowing one run on two hits while striking out one batter in 1.1 innings. Mantiply will start Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Sean Reid-Foley RP | ATL
Mets' Sean Reid-Foley: Not yet throwing
Manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Reid-Foley (shoulder) has yet to begin a throwing program, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Reid-Foley has been on the injured list since June 22 due to a right shoulder impingement -- the same injury that forced him to miss nearly a month to begin the season. Mendoza noted that it's possible the right-hander begins throwing Wednesday, but even if he does, it's unlikely he makes it back into the Mets' bullpen before the All-Star break.

David Bednar RP | NYY
Pirates' David Bednar: Nearing bullpen session
Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk said Tuesday that Bednar (oblique) has progressed to throwing from 120 feet and should soon resume mound work, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
The right-hander was briefly shut down from throwing after he landed on the injured list June 23 with an oblique strain. Bednar will be eligible to be reinstated to the active roster soon, but he could spend more than the 15-day minimum on the shelf since he's yet to get back on the mound. However, he doesn't appear to be in for a lengthy absence and may be able to rejoin the Pirates before the All-Star break.

Hunter Stratton RP | ATL
Pirates' Hunter Stratton: Set to throw off slope
Stratton (triceps) is expected to throw off a slope in the coming days, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Tuesday.
Stratton has been limited to throwing on flat ground since hitting the IL on June 14, but he's feeling good enough to toss off a slope. It's unclear if he'll require a rehab assignment, but Stratton still has several checkpoints to complete before being activated.

Kilian will start up a rehab assignment Tuesday, pitching in game conditions for the first time since straining his shoulder in spring training. The 27-year-old has been progressing well, getting up to 32 pitches in a bullpen session in mid-June before facing live hitters June 25. He could be cleared for activation before August.

Merryweather (ribs) threw live batting practice Tuesday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Merryweather has thrown a pair of bullpens and faced live batters for the first time since being placed on the IL on April 7. Manager Craig Counsell already ruled Merryweather out through the All-Star break, but the 32-year-old could be ready to go coming out of the layoff.
