Cano threw 1.1 scoreless innings of relief Sunday against the Giants, allowing one hit and one walk with no strikeouts.

Although Cano has turned in four scoreless appearances over his last six, his last clean outing was back on Aug. 2 versus the Cubs. Given the 31-year-old right-hander's struggles -- Cano has a 6.46 ERA and 1.62 WHIP since the start of May -- Keegan Akin likely remains the favorite for saves for the last-place Orioles.

Seymour (3-0) allowed four runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over five innings Sunday, striking out eight and earning a win over Washington.

Seymour gave up one run through three innings before two fourth-inning errors put three unearned runs on his line. The Rays scored three runs in the first three frames to lead Seymour to his second straight win. The rookie southpaw threw 57 of 82 pitches for strikes, and he generated 16 whiffs, including eight with his changeup. Seymour has looked impressive since joining the rotation, going 2-0 with a 16:2 K:BB over 10 innings. He owns a 2.97 ERA with a 42:10 K:BB at the MLB level this year. Seymour is projected to face the Guardians at home next weekend.

Strowd threw 1.2 scoreless innings of relief Sunday against the Giants, allowing one hit and one walk with one strikeout.

The rookie right-hander continues to be an effective member of Baltimore's new-look bullpen. Through 17 innings, Strowd has overcome a concerning 9:8 K:BB to produce a strong 1.59 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. Strowd has no holds or save chances in 2025, so he'll likely need to miss more bats and cut down on the walks in order to work his way up the pecking order.

Lord (4-8) yielded seven runs on five hits and two walks over three innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Rays.

The Rays jumped on Lord early with a huge six-run second inning, capped off by Brandon Lowe's grand slam. Lord gave up another run in the third and ended his afternoon with 62 pitches (36 strikes). Since rejoining the Nationals' rotation in late July, he had thrown at least four innings in all seven starts before Sunday's ugly outing. Lord posted a 4.54 ERA during that seven-start span. He now owns a 4.34 ERA with an 85:35 K:BB through 103.2 innings this season. Lord is projected for a road start against the Cubs next weekend.

Bivens allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout over three innings, earning the save in Sunday's 13-2 win over the Orioles.

Bivens was able to help spare the bullpen and came away with his second career save. The right-hander has done fine in a multi-inning relief role this year. He allowed eight runs (six earned) while posting an 8:4 K:BB over 16 innings across nine appearances in August. For the season, he has a 4.28 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 51:21 K:BB through 69.1 innings, all coming out of the bullpen.

Fairbanks allowed two hits in a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save over the Nationals on Sunday. He struck out two.

Fairbanks worked around a pair of singles to escape unscathed in the 7-4 victory. He converted both of his save chances against Washington this weekend, but he's shown some shakiness lately; Fairbanks has given up four runs (three earned) on seven hits over his last five frames. Still, he owns a strong 2.81 ERA and 53:15 K:BB while converting 24 of his 29 save chances through 52 appearances.

Munoz pitched a clean inning with two strikeouts to pick up the save in Sunday's 4-2 victory at Cleveland.

After hitting a rough patch with five runs (three earned) conceded in 4.1 frames over his last five appearances, Munoz showed no signs of struggle in this 16-pitch outing. The Seattle flamethrower now ranks third in saves behind Carlos Estevez (36) and Robert Suarez (35). Across 53.1 total innings, Munoz has produced a 1.69 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 68:24 K:BB while converting 32 of 39 save chances.

Scott allowed three runs on three hits and a walk over one inning, taking a blown save in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

This wasn't shaping up as a traditional save chance for Scott, as he was brought in for a high-leverage spot in the eighth inning. He wasn't up to the task, allowing a three-run home run to Corbin Carroll that tied the game at 4-4. This was Scott's eighth blown save of the year and his first in three outings since returning from a month-long absence due to an elbow issue. The lefty reliever is 20-for-28 in save chances with a 4.44 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 50:12 K:BB across 48.2 innings this season.

MLB and the MLBPA announced Sunday that Clase will remain on non-disciplinary paid leave until further notice while MLB continues its sports-betting investigation.

The Guardians aren't planning on commenting further on Clase's status until the investigation concludes, but the reliever's locker at Progressive Field was cleared out nearly a month ago, which implies that the right-hander isn't expected to pitch again this season. Clase remains under club control through 2028, but whether he returns to the mound with the Guardians or another team down the road won't become clear until MLB releases the findings of its investigation.

O'Brien has dealt with fatigue in his right shoulder area in recent days and is set to be examined by a doctor Monday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

According to Goold, the Cardinals are weighing whether to place O'Brien on the injured list, and the results of his upcoming exam will likely be vital in that decision. With the active roster expanding to 28 players Monday, the Cardinals are likely to call up at least one pitcher from the minors, and the team could bring another relief arm aboard if O'Brien heads to the IL in a corresponding move. Since the beginning of June, O'Brien has performed as one of the Cardinals' top relievers, logging two wins, two saves and five holds while pitching to a 1.04 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over 34.2 innings.
