Diekman (1-2) took the loss and blew his second save of the season Sunday against Arizona, giving up two earned runs on two hits in one-third of an inning.

Diekman came on in the ninth inning to preserve a one-run Mets lead. He allowed a leadoff double before surrendering the game-winning two-run home run to Ketel Marte. The Mets bullpen has been a disaster recently -- presumptive closer Reed Garrett gave up two home runs Friday, and Adam Ottavino yielded four earned runs in his last appearance. Garrett remains the most likely candidate for upcoming save opportunities, but the pecking order will be difficult to predict with the Mets bullpen in flux.

King (2-1) pitched a perfect frame to earn the extra-inning win over the Phillies on Sunday.

King got a look in a high-leverage spot, and he kept the game scoreless with a spotless ninth inning. The Cardinals took the lead in the 10th, and Ryan Helsley closed it out. King hasn't allowed an earned run over his last 10 innings, though he's given up three unearned runs in that span. He's pitched to a strong 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB over 18 innings while adding three holds and a blown save in 2024.

Iglesias picked up the save Sunday against Oakland, tossing a perfect inning with no strikeouts.

Iglesias needed just nine pitches to retire Zack Gelof, Kyle McCann and Max Schuemann in order. The 34-year-old is 15-for-17 on save chances this season and has allowed one hit in his last five innings of work. Overall, Iglesias has the fourth-most saves in the NL and owns a 2.42 ERA through 22.1 innings.

Helsley struck out two without allowing a hit or a walk in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Phillies.

A flyout allowed the initial runner to advance to third base, but Helsley struck out the next two batters to close this game. It was encouraging to see the 29-year-old have a dominant outing after allowing four runs over his previous three appearances. He's earned a save in eight straight outings despite his recent shakiness, and he still has a 2.42 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB over 26 innings while converting 19 of 20 save chances this season.

Sewald picked up the save Sunday against the Mets, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Sewald has been nigh unhittable lately, allowing just one baserunner over his past six appearances. The 34-year-old veteran has not allowed an earned run since his season debut back on May 7 and he is now a perfect five-for-five in save opportunities with a microscopic 1.08 ERA and 0.48 WHIP in 8.1 innings.

Holmes threw a scoreless inning to earn a save against the Giants on Sunday.

Holmes quickly finished off the 7-5 win Sunday, needing just 12 pitches to retire San Francisco's 2-3-4 hitters in order. He began the year without allowing an earned run through 20 innings before coughing up four in a brutal outing against Seattle on May 20. Since then, he's turned in 5.2 scoreless frames to push his ERA back down to 1.37. Holmes owns a 27:8 K:BB and has converted 17 of 20 save chances this season.

Doval (2-1) allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in a blown save chance Sunday. He recorded two outs while taking a loss against the Yankees.

Doval entered the game with a 5-3 lead in the ninth inning and was quickly jumped by the top of the Yankees' lineup. With one out in the inning, he yielded an RBI triple to Anthony Volpe, a go-ahead, two-run shot to Juan Soto and an RBI double to Giancarlo Stanton. Doval had allowed four earned runs over his previous 15.2 innings before Sunday's ugly outing. His ERA shot up from 2.78 to 4.24 with a 30:17 K:BB through 23.1 frames.

Triple-A Albuquerque reinstated Davis (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Saturday.

Davis started in Saturday's 10-9 win over Oklahoma City, taking a no-decision while striking out four over 2.2 innings and allowing four earned runs on five hits and one walk. The right-hander had been sidelined at Triple-A since mid-April with a right shoulder injury but was cleared to slot back into the Albuquerque rotation after making two abbreviated rehab starts in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Chafin (3-1) tossed 1.1 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win in Sunday's 8-4, 10-inning victory over the Red Sox. He walked two and struck out two.

Chafin got the last out of the bottom of the ninth inning, escaping a bases-loaded jam in a 4-4 game. Detroit then scored four times in the top of the 10th, setting the lefty up to close things out for his third win of the year. Chafin has had an up-and-down season, as he came into Sunday having allowed at least a run in his previous three appearances, but the veteran should remain in a key bullpen role despite his middling 4.58 ERA.

Garcia secured a save after he pitched one inning, allowing one run on two hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Pirates.

Garcia entered the game in the top of the ninth inning, tasked with protecting a 5-3 lead. He surrendered a leadoff double to Oneil Cruz, then struck out back-to-back batters before Rowdy Tellez notched an RBI single. Garcia then punched out Ji Hwan Bae to end the contest, securing his third save of the season. He now possesses a 1.57 ERA and 0.74 WHIP on the year while striking out 29 batters over 23 innings in 22 appearances out of the bullpen. Garcia is likely the primary ninth-inning option for Toronto due to Jordan Romano (shoulder) being on the 15-day injured list.
