Doval picked up the save Monday, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts across 1.1 scoreless innings.

Doval retired four of the five batters he faced Monday to earn his second save of the campaign. After racking up 39 saves a season ago, Doval has only seen two save chances and has only made four appearances this far. However, he'll likely have opportunities to enhance those numbers with two more games coming against the 3-14 Marlins and a four-game series against the Diamondbacks left this week.

Vines allowed one run on four hits and three walks over 4.2 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out four in the win over Houston.

Vines was tagged with a run in the first inning but was able to settle in and put together a decent performance. He threw 46 of 80 pitches for strikes, including nine whiffs. It was Vines' first MLB appearance since Sep. 27 of last season. The 25-year-old likely pitched well enough to earn another turn in the rotation, but Atlanta's long-term plan to replace Spencer Strider (elbow) remains unclear for now.

Diaz picked up the save Monday against the Pirates. He pitched one shutout inning, allowing no hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

Diaz posted his second save in as many days, using 18 pitches to close out the Pirates. The 30-year-old reliever bounced back Monday to fire a scoreless inning after yielding a home run Sunday. Diaz has returned to his role as an elite closer with a 1.29 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 10:2 KK:BB over his first seven innings.

Kimbrel tossed a perfect ninth to earn the save Monday against Minnesota. He struck out two.

Kimbrel earned a save for the second-consecutive day, but after allowing two hits to the Brewers on Sunday rebounded with a perfect inning Monday, needing just 13 pitches to close out the contest. The veteran closer now has four saves to go along with two wins through seven appearances this season.

Hader yielded four runs on four hits and a walk in Monday's loss to Atlanta. He recorded one out via strikeout.

Hader entered the game in a non-save situation with Atlanta leading 2-1. He put five straight runners on base and threw a wild pitch, resulting in four runs to be charged against him. The All-Star closer has not yet found any consistency in his first season with Houston; Hader has just one save with a 9.39 ERA through 7.2 frames.

McArthur picked up the save Monday against the White Sox. He pitched one shutout inning with two strikeouts.

McArthur loves pitching against the White Sox, as all three of his saves on the season have come against Chicago. After a shaky start to the season, he has now tossed five scoreless outings over 5.2 innings. McArthur looks to have fully supplanted Will Smith from the closer's role, as the veteran lefty had plenty of rest coming into Monday, but Royals manager Matt Quatraro clearly favored McArthur in the save situation.

Suarez allowed one hit and recorded one out while picking up a save over the Brewers on Monday.

Suarez entered the ninth inning with two outs. After giving up an infield single, he forced Sal Frelick to fly out to close out the game. Suarez has now converted all six of his save chances with a 1.04 ERA and an 8:4 K:BB through 8.2 innings this season.

Garcia picked up the save Monday against the Yankees. He retired all three batters he faced without recording a strikeout.

Garcia recorded his second straight save Monday night after earning his first Saturday against Colorado. This save wasn't easy as he faced the heart of the Yankees order, but he smoothly retired Juan Soto, Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo on nine pitches. Although Garcia has collected the last two Toronto saves, he looks to move back into a setup role soon as Jordan Romano (elbow) is slated to return this week.

Yates secured the save after throwing a perfect ninth inning Monday against the Tigers. After the game, manager Bruce Bochy noted that the team likes where it's at in terms of the closer role, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Bochy went on to mention that the club will continue to weigh its options at closer, but he likes the way Yates has been throwing the ball so far this season, per McFarland. The right-hander has yet to surrender a run in six appearances, fanning five batters and walking one over six frames.

Feyereisen was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Feyereisen's stint with the big-league club lasted only a few days, as he was promoted Saturday. He didn't fare well in his second appearance of the 2024 campaign Sunday against the Padres, surrendering three runs on two hits and two walks in one-third of an inning.
