Anderson will likely be optioned back to the minors when the Rangers' trade acquisitions arrive for Tuesday's homestand opener against the White Sox, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Anderson was called up to the majors Sunday after the Rangers placed starter Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) on the injured list. Once Max Scherzer, Jordan Montgomery and Chris Stratton arrive, Anderson could be headed back to Triple-A Round Rock.

Littell (1-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on eight hits over five innings against the Astros. He struck out four.

Though Sunday's game was expected to be a bullpen day for the Rays, Littell managed to last five innings and was stretched out to 82 pitches after having thrown fewer than three innings in all but one of his appearances this season. Despite allowing eight hits, Littell held the Astros scoreless heading into the fifth, where he allowed back-to-back singles and a double during a two-run inning. Considering the Rays are battling a multitude of injuries in their starting rotation, they may continue to stretch Littell out if he proves to be a reliable innings eater.

Robertson picked up the save in Sunday's 8-6 victory over Detroit. He struck out one over a perfect inning.

Robertson got his first taste of action in a Miami uniform Sunday after being dealt by the Mets on Thursday, and he immediately assumed ninth-inning duties for the Marlins. The 38-year-old was perfect for save No. 15 and has now gone 3.2 innings without allowing a hit. Robertson figures to play a crucial role for the Marlins during their Wild Card chase and should receive more save opportunities with the team than he saw in New York.

Hernandez secured his first-career save Sunday in a 2-1 win over the Twins. He did not allow a hit, but did walk a batter and struck out two.

Hernandez was called upon to close out the game in the ninth with Scott Barlow presumably unavailable after throwing 41 pitches over the last two days. Hernandez has now recorded three holds and a save while tossing four shutout innings in his last four appearances. He's a prime candidate to take over the Royals' closing duties if Barlow were to get dealt to a contending team before the deadline. Hernandez is putting up career-best numbers thus far, posting a 3.57 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 63:15 K:BB in 53 innings.

Yarbrough (4-5) earned the win over the Twins on Sunday after allowing one run on seven hits while striking out five over seven innings.

Yarbrough's five strikeouts tied his season high, and the seven innings was the longest he's gone this year. He generated 12 whiffs and a 32 percent CSW (called strikes plus whiffs) and has continued to be a pleasant surprise for the Royals since returning from the IL on July 9. In four starts since then, Yarbrough's posted a 2.19 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB in 24.2 innings. The southpaw currently lines up for a tough test against the Phillies on the road next weekend.

Bradford allowed one run on four hits and three walks over three innings in Sunday's loss to San Diego. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Bradford limited the damage to just one run despite finding himself in a couple of jams in his short outing. He's been a solid bulk-innings option for Texas lately; he registered a 3.48 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP over 20.2 innings in July. Bradford will likely move back to a more traditional bullpen role after the Rangers' recent acquisitions of Max Scherzer and Jordan Montgomery.

Raley picked up the save Sunday against the Nationals. He allowed one walk and struck out three over a scoreless inning.

For the third straight night, Raley was tasked with ninth-inning duties and managed to convert for his second save of the season Sunday. The southpaw looks to have the jump on the closer role following the trade of David Robertson and has turned in three straight scoreless outings for the Mets. Though it's likely Raley will have a short leash considering Adam Ottavino and Drew Smith each saw save opportunities earlier in the year, it appears to be Raley's job to lose. Through 46 appearances (38 innings), Raley boasts a 2.37 ERA and a 43:18 K:BB.

Hader allowed a hit and two walks in a scoreless inning against Texas on Sunday. He struck out one and earned a save.

Hader put three straight Rangers on base after recording two outs but managed to wiggle out of the jam. He needed 31 pitches to finish off the 5-3 win, tying his season high. Hader hasn't allowed an earned run since May 31; he's converted 12 of 13 save chances while registering a 29:12 K:BB through 17.2 innings during that stretch.

Sulser allowed one run on two hits over one inning in Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Mariners.

Sulser was activated off the injured list Sunday and used right away in a low-leverage spot. The right-hander mopped up the ninth inning of Arizona's eighth loss in 10 games.

Romero locked down his first save of the season Sunday against the Cubs after pitching a scoreless ninth while allowing one hit and striking out two.

On the day the Cardinals traded current closer Jordan Hicks to the Blue Jays, Romero picks up the save. Giovanny Gallegos got the eighth inning and Romero shut the door on the Cubs' eight-game winning streak. Romero had been a little shaky as of late, giving up four runs in his last two appearances, but has been reliable as a whole since getting recalled July 4. over that span, he's accumulated two wins, two holds and a save while posting a 4.15 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB in 13 innings. It appears Romero could be the Cardinals' closer, or at least split the role with Gallegos, until Ryan Helsley (forearm) is able to return.
