Kauffmann (1-3) allowed one run on two hits and a walk over four-plus innings Monday. He earned a win against Washington but did not record a strikeout.

After Jake Bird tossed a pair of scoreless frames as the opener, Kauffmann fired four shutout innings of his own. Kauffmann then put two runners on base without recording an out in the seventh and was later charged with a run. The right-handed rookie made his first MLB appearance since June 24 and earned his first career win. Kauffmann has produced an 8.72 ERA with an 8:11 K:BB through 21.2 innings.

The Mets recalled Hernandez from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday.

New York already has a full 26-man active roster, so the team will need to make a corresponding transaction ahead of Tuesday's game against the Yankees to facilitate the addition of Hernandez. The 28-year-old right-hander will likely settle into a low-leverage role out of the Mets bullpen after turning in a 2.89 ERA and 1.39 WHIP while striking out 12 over 9.1 innings at Triple-A.

Shaw was sent outright to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, per the MLB's transactions log.

Shaw was designated for assignment by the White Sox on Saturday, and after failing to draw any interest from around the league, he'll end up in Charlotte. He owns a 4.03 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 24 strikeouts in 21 appearances (22.1 innings) this season at Triple-A.

Perez picked up the save Monday against the Phillies, working around a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Perez got the call in the ninth with Felix Bautista having pitched in Baltimore's previous two games. After retiring the first two Phillies in the inning, Perez surrendered a base hit and a walk before coaxing a groundout from Johan Rojas to strand the tying and winning runs. While Perez isn't likely to see much closing work going forward, he's been solid lately, pitching to a 1.93 ERA over his last nine appearances (9.1 innings). Overall, the southpaw sports a 4.54 ERA with a 1.78 WHIP and 26:20 K:BB through 33.2 innings this season.

Duarte was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Monday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

He was replaced on the roster by Levi Stoudt earlier this month and now the two pitchers are trading spots again. Duarte holds a 2.77 ERA but a 10:9 K:BB over 13 frames with the big club this season.

Helsley (forearm) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday.

Helsley has been out since June 12 after being placed on the 15-day injured list, so although he is now on the 60-day IL, the right-hander remains eligible to return Aug. 12. The transaction made room for Andrew Suarez on the 40-man roster after Suarez had his contract selected from Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Thompson was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Thompson will return to Memphis after being called up July 5, and he allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 4.1 innings while in the big leagues. The transaction opened a roster spot for Adam Wainwright (shoulder) for his return from the injured list.

Suarez had his contract selected from Triple-A Memphis by the Cardinals on Monday.

Suarez will get his first shot in the big leagues since 2020 after being called up Monday. The left-hander has produced a 4.08 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with 69 strikeouts over 64 innings in 28 appearances, including three starts, with Memphis this season. In a corresponding move to make room on the 40-man roster, Ryan Helsley (forearm) was moved to the 60-day injured list.

Wilson (elbow) rejoined the Brewers on Monday but not been activated from the 60-day injured list yet, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Wilson cleared his final rehab hurdle in making back-to-back appearances with Triple-A Nashville on Saturday and Sunday. He will rest for a day or two before rejoining Milwaukee's bullpen. Wilson is coming back from last June's Tommy John surgery.

Thielbar (oblique) will start a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Thielbar has been limited to just one appearance since May 3 due to a pair of injured list stints because of a strained right oblique. He's finally game ready again and should be ready to rejoin the Twins' bullpen following a handful of rehab outings.
