The Nationals selected Pilkington's contract from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday.
The lefty will provide length in the bullpen behind Tuesday's starter, Brad Lord, who is making his first start since early May after 26 consecutive relief appearances. Pilkington has posted a 2.59 ERA and 50:27 K:BB over 41.2 frames this season with Rochester.

The Tigers released White on Monday.
White missed most of the 2024 season with elbow issues and had struggled in 2025 at Triple-A Toledo, posting a 7.24 ERA and 27:17 K:BB over 32.1 innings. The 26-year-old made 33 appearances for the Tigers in 2023, collecting a 5.09 ERA and 44:15 K:BB across 40.2 frames.

Manuel Rodriguez RP | TB
Rays' Manuel Rodriguez: Shifted to 60-day injured list
The Rays transferred Rodriguez (forearm) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.
Rodriguez recently experienced a setback with his right forearm strain that resulted in him being pulled off his rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on July 12. He will be eligible for activation in mid-August but could require more time than that to recover.

Brandon Waddell RP | NYM
Mets' Brandon Waddell: Shelved with hip issue
The Mets reversed Waddell's optional assignment to Triple-A Syracuse and placed him on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to a right hip impingement.
Waddell had been sent down to Syracuse over the weekend, but he didn't appear in any games for the affiliate and is thus eligible to be placed on the big club's injured list. The lefty will be eligible for activation Aug. 3, but it's not clear whether he will be ready to return on that date.

Chris Devenski RP | PIT
Mets' Chris Devenski: Booted from 40-man roster
The Mets designated Devenski for assignment Tuesday.
He'll give up his spot on the 40-man roster to another right-handed reliever in Rico Garcia, whom the Mets claimed off waivers from the Yankees. Devenski has done a fine job with the Mets this season, collecting a 2.38 ERA and 9:3 K:BB over 11.1 innings. If he isn't claimed off waivers, Devenski will have the ability to elect free agency rather than accepting an outright assignment to Triple-A Syracuse.

Kevin Herget RP | NYM
Mets' Kevin Herget: Sent to Triple-A
The Mets optioned Herget to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
The right-hander was added to the big-league roster over the weekend and will head back to the minors after firing 2.1 scoreless frames Monday against the Angels. Herget has allowed one earned run with a 1:2 K:BB over 5.1 innings in the majors between Atlanta and New York this season.

Carson Seymour SP | SF
Giants' Carson Seymour: Back in majors
The Giants recalled Seymour from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.
The right-hander was sent down to Triple-A in early July after giving up two earned runs over four frames in his first two MLB appearances, but he'll rejoin San Francisco early on in the second half. Seymour has primarily worked as a starter at Sacramento this season and has a 3.86 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 90:39 K:BB over 77 innings, so he could be a candidate to fill the rotation spot vacated by Hayden Birdsong, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move Tuesday. Until the Giants require a fifth starter again, Seymour might serve as a long man out of the bullpen.

Sean Hjelle RP | SF
Giants' Sean Hjelle: Brought up from minors
The Giants recalled Hjelle from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Hjelle has struggled in 12 innings with the Giants this season, yielding nine runs with a 9:8 K:BB. However, he's pitched well at Sacramento (2.90 ERA, 44:10 K:BB in 40.1 frames), and he will give the big club a fresh bullpen arm heading into Tuesday's game against Atlanta.
