Reid Detmers SP | LAA
Angels' Reid Detmers: Lands on IL
The Angels placed Detmers on the 15-day injured list Thursday with left elbow inflammation.
Detmers had to depart Wednesday's game against the Twins due to the injury after not liking how the ball was coming out of his hand. The injury may end the southpaw's campaign as he won't be eligible to return until the final series of the season. In a corresponding move, the Angels recalled Chase Silseth from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Ryan Rolison RP | CHC
Rockies' Ryan Rolison: Returns to Colorado
The Rockies recalled Rolison from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.
The Rockies sent Rolison down to the minors Sept. 3, but he'll now return to the big leagues to replace Luis Peralta, who landed on the injured list Thursday with a hip injury. The 28-year-old Rolison carries a 7.15 ERA and 1.82 WHIP through 39 frames in the bigs this season and isn't likely to pitch in high-leverage situations anytime soon.

Peralta has struggled mightily in the majors this season, posting a 10.80 ERA and 2.40 WHIP across 16.2 innings alongside a 14:16 K:BB. The 24-year-old will be eligible to return before the end of the season, but the Rockies likely won't be in a rush to bring him back based on his performance and the fact that they are firmly out of contention for a postseason spot. Ryan Rolison was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
