Perez (3-1) earned the win Wednesday, allowing three runs on eight hits and zero walks over 5.2 innings during a 12-3 victory over the Royals. He struck out three.

Perez got early run support and limited damage en route to his third win of the season. He was pulled in the sixth after allowing a two-out, RBI knock to Matt Duffy that cut Texas' lead to 5-3, but Jonathan Hernandez was able to retire the next batter. Perez has finished at least five innings in each of his first four starts this season and has given up just eight runs over 21.1 innings with a 19:7 K:BB.

Singer (1-2) took the loss Wednesday, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over five innings against the Rangers. He struck out four.

Despite not allowing a homer, Singer gave up at least one run in three of his five innings, and he's now served up five or more runs in each of his past three outings after he started the season strong against the Blue Jays (one run in five innings). He'll look to bounce back next week during Kansas City's three-game road set in Arizona.

Clevinger (2-1) was the pitcher of record in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out one batter over three innings.

Clevinger allowed a run in each of his three frames, including solo home runs to Trea Turner and Brandon Marsh. The veteran right-hander was at 75 pitches after getting through the third, and he was replaced by Tanner Banks to start the fourth. Per James Fegan of The Athletic, White Sox manager Pedro Grifol clarified after the game that Clevinger wasn't dealing with any physical concerns Wednesday, but the skipper was reluctant to let the 32-year-old continue after he amassed 44 pitches alone in the taxing third inning. Clevinger has been a hit-or-miss performer this season, posting 13 strikeouts over 11 scoreless innings in two of his starts while serving up seven runs with just two strikeouts in 8.1 innings across his other two outings.

Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said Wednesday that Ray (elbow) could return from the 15-day injured list around the middle of May, Jen Mueller of Root Sports Northwest reports.

Dipoto admitted that the mid-May return is just a guess rather than a firm target for Ray, who has yet to resume a throwing program since sustaining a left flexor strain in his season debut March 31. The left-hander will need to complete several bullpen sessions and make at least a couple of rehab starts before he's deemed ready to rejoin the Seattle rotation.

The Orioles reinstated Bradish (foot) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday in Washington.

Baltimore optioned reliever Logan Gillaspie to Triple-A Norfolk to clear room on the 26-man active roster for Bradish, who is set to make his second start of the campaign after exiting his April 3 season debut in Texas with a right foot contusion. Bradish tossed 83 pitches and five innings in his lone rehab start for Double-A Bowie last Friday, so he shouldn't face any major workload restrictions as he steps back into the big-league rotation Wednesday.

The Athletics selected Miller's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

He'll make his major-league debut Wednesday against the Cubs and will have a "soft cap" of around 80 pitches, manager Mark Kotsay told Jessica Kleinschmidt of TheComeback.com. Miller boasts a 19:0 K:BB over 8.2 innings between Las Vegas and Double-A Midland over his first two minor-league starts this season.

Bradley is scheduled to make his next start Monday versus the Astros in Tampa, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Given that he's now turned in a 2.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 17:2 K:BB over 10.1 innings between his first two starts along with the fact that Tampa Bay has four other starters on the injured list, Bradley looks like he'll have some longevity in the big-league rotation. Zach Eflin (back) remains on track to return from the IL on Sunday to help restore some starting depth for the Rays, but Bradley's spot is secure while Jeffrey Springs (elbow) and Shane Baz (elbow) are out for the season and Tyler Glasnow (oblique) is likely sidelined until at least the middle of May.

Cleveland optioned Gaddis to Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

The 25-year-old is being sent down to make room for infield prospect Brayan Rocchio on the 26-man active roster. Gaddis struggled for the most part over his four starts with the big club this season, logging a 7.64 ERA and 12:6 K:BB over 17.2 innings. The Guardians could turn to Gaddis to make starts again, but there are other internal options (Tanner Bibee, Xzavion Curry, Konnor Pilkington) that could get the chance before the right-hander receives another opportunity.

Expect Baltimore to officially confirm the transaction a few hours prior to the game's 7:05 p.m. ET start time. Bradish will be making his first start for Baltimore since suffering a right foot contusion in his season debut April 3. The right-hander threw 83 pitches in his rehab start for Double-A Bowie last Friday, so he should be able to work into the mid-to-late innings against a beatable Washington lineup.

Bassitt has shown remarkable improvement after a rough season debut, recording his third consecutive quality start. The 34-year-old did not give up a hit until the fourth inning and proceeded to blank the Astros until he exited the game in the sixth inning. Bassitt has allowed only two earned runs while striking out at least five batters in each of his last three starts. He will bring a 5.40 ERA and 1.34 WHIP into his next start, scheduled for the upcoming series against the White Sox.
