Waldichuk did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing five hits and three walks over five scoreless innings against the Cubs. He struck out five.

Waldichuk still finds himself winless on the season despite throwing five scoreless innings against Chicago, his best start of the year by far to this point. The 25-year-old southpaw is still finding his footing in his first full season as a big leaguer, but this outing shows promise. He still has a less-than-desirable 7.65 ERA on the year, but he'll have plenty of opportunities to decrease that, starting with an away tilt against the Angels next week.

Keller (2-2) was handed the loss Tuesday against the Rangers, allowing three runs on three hits and five walks over four innings. He struck out two.

There was a night-and-day difference between Tuesday's outing and Keller's outing against the Rangers last Wednesday. He struggled mightily to find the zone this time around and it cost him, as all three runs he gave up were from batters that got on base via a walk. Keller got pulled after 81 pitches, which was his lowest mark in four starts this season. Keller can be streamed in appealing matchups, but his volatility makes him a risky play in any given start.

Eovaldi (2-2) secured the victory Tuesday over the Royals, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings.

Eovaldi tossed his first quality start of the year and had a nice bounce-back game after the Royals pummeled him for six runs on April 12. He got off to an undesirable start, giving up a leadoff triple to Bobby Witt and allowing him to score on a sacrifice fly. Eovaldi wound up surrendering another run in the fourth but otherwise held the Royals in check for the majority of the game. The 33-year-old lowered his ERA to a 5.40 to go along with a 1.48 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB over 21.2 innings. He'll look to build on the strong start in a projected road matchup with the Reds next week.

Gray allowed one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings Tuesday against the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Gray was tested early. He gave up consecutive doubles to begin the game but was able to strand two runners in scoring position and limit the damage. He worked his way out of some more trouble in the second after striking out Justin Turner with the bases loaded. He needed 54 pitches to get through the first two frames but settled in thereafter and coasted through the next three innings without much issue. After Tuesday's outing, Gray now sits third in Major League Baseball with a 0.82 ERA to go with a 1.18 WHIP and a 26:9 K:BB over 22 innings. He's projected to be in a favorable spot at home against the Nationals to end the week.

Sale allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out 11 over six innings against the Twins on Tuesday. He did not factor into the decision.

Sale turned back the clock in Tuesday's outing, recording 10-plus strikeouts for the first time since Aug. 13, 2019. His command was present throughout his whole start. He had all his pitches working effectively, as he generated 19 whiffs, and was even still touching 96 mph with his fastball in the sixth inning. Sale seems to have shaken off the early season rust after allowing 16 runs in 12 innings over his first three starts of the year. It was a vintage performance from the 34-year-old, and fantasy managers who remained patient were certainly rewarded. Sale now possesses an 8.00 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB and is currently lined up to face the Orioles next week.

Suarez allowed two runs on three hits and six walks while striking out one over 3.1 innings Tuesday against the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision.

Suarez struggled with his command but was able to work around those troubles and limit the Yankees to two runs. He pitched out of a bases-loaded situation in the first and left two more runners stranded in the second. Two more walks and a base hit loaded up the bases for Suarez once again in the fourth and he was replaced by Andrew Wantz, who walked in a run and gave up another on a sac fly, both of which were charged to Suarez. The Venezuelan native now sits at a 9.26 ERA, 2.40 WHIP and 7:7 K:BB over 11.2 innings.

Schmidt (0-1) allowed four runs on six hits and struck out five over 3.2 innings while taking the loss against the Angels on Tuesday.

Schmidt's struggles continued into Tuesday's start. He kicked off the game by allowing a leadoff double to Taylor Ward and then served a hanging breaking ball to Shohei Ohtani that found its way into the right-field seats for a quick 2-0 deficit. The 27-year-old ran into more issues in the fourth, allowing two doubles and a single to give the Halos a 4-0 cushion. Schmidt's numbers through four starts are less than ideal. He now sits at an 8.79 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB over 14.1 innings and is showing major vulnerability against lefties so far, as they are hitting .412 against him. Manager Aaron Boone said after the game that Schmidt is still sticking in the starting rotation for now. The team is working to get back Luis Severino (lat) and Carlos Rodon (forearm) from the IL.

Giolito (1-1) picked up the win in a 3-0 victory over the Phillies in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader, walking one batter over six no-hit, scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

A Brandon Marsh double off Aaron Bummer in the eighth inning broke up the combined no-hitter, but that takes nothing away from a dazzling performance by Giolito. The right-hander fired 67 of 102 pitches for strikes and generated 30 called or swinging strikes as he delivered his second straight quality start. He appears to be putting his rough 2022 behind him. Giolito will take a 4.29 ERA and 23:4 K:BB through 21 innings into his next outing, likely to come early next week in Toronto.

Lynn (0-2) took the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Phillies, coughing up five runs on 10 hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out seven.

All 10 hits were singles as Lynn got BABIP'd to death in an eventual 7-4 loss for the White Sox. The veteran right-hander tossed 71 of 107 pitches for strikes while generating 31 called or swinging strikes along the way, offering some hope that his 7.59 ERA will soon come down. Lynn will take a 28:10 K:BB through 21.1 innings into his next start, likely to come this weekend in Tampa Bay.

Gilbert struck out eight and gave up four runs on five hits and no walks across six innings during Tuesday's 11-inning loss to the Brewers. He did not factor in the decision.

The 25-year-old appeared poised for a brief outing as he gave up three runs and labored through the first three frames, but he rebounded strong with the only baserunner allowed over the next three innings being a solo homer by Willy Adames. Gilbert generated just eight swinging strikes but kept the Brewers guessing and had 25 called strikes, and he's recorded at least six strikeouts in all four of his starts this season. The right-hander will carry a 3.57 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 28:4 K:BB across 22.2 frames into his next outing, which projects to come next week in Philadelphia.
