Sandoval registered a no-decision during Friday's 4-3 win against Seattle, allowing three hits and four walks with five strikeouts in 5.1 scoreless innings.

Sandoval put multiple runners on in four of his six innings but prevented any Mariner from passing second base and ultimately finished without allowing an earned run for the first time since his first three starts of the season. Control remains an issue for the 25-year-old as the four free passes tie a season high and he's now walked multiple batters in 11 straight starts. Sandoval carries a 3.41 ERA and 1.47 WHIP into his next start, scheduled for midweek against Minnesota.

Cantillo (shoulder) was placed on the injured list at Double-A Akron this week.

Cantillo threw three scoreless innings versus Harrisburg on July 30, but he's since been diagnosed with left shoulder soreness. The southpaw has impressed at the Double-A level with a 1.93 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 87:28 K:BB across 14 appearances (13 starts), though his 4.2 BB/9 leaves some room for improvement. It's unclear when he'll be ready to return.

Greinke (3-7) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 4.2 innings Friday, taking the loss versus the Red Sox.

Greinke threw 95 pitches (57 strikes) in another short outing. He's failed to complete more than five frames in each of his last six starts. Of the seven hits he allowed Friday, four were doubles, though he was able to keep the ball in the yard. Greinke's had his struggles this year, posting a 4.58 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB through 92.1 innings across 18 starts. That WHIP would be his worst since 2007, while the ERA is his worst since 2005. The right-hander is projected for a home start versus the White Sox next week.

Cortes allowed two runs on a hit and four walks while striking out four over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Friday.

Cortes was nearly unhittable, but that may have been because he wasn't offering much worth swinging at. The southpaw threw just 48 of 83 pitches for strikes, with the only hit against him being a Yadier Molina RBI single in the second inning. Cortes has allowed 10 runs in 33 innings across his last six starts. For the season, he owns a 2.57 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 115:28 K:BB through 112 innings across 20 starts. He'll resume the hunt for his 10th win of the year next week in a projected start in Seattle.

Kluber yielded three runs on seven hits over six innings in Friday's win over Detroit. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

All three runs that scored on Kluber came in the first two innings, including Riley Greene's two-run homer in the second frame. The 6-foot-4 righty was in line to take the loss before Tampa Bay completed the comeback victory. He had coughed up 12 runs over his previous three starts and now owns a 4.05 ERA through 21 starts. Kluber is projected to face the Orioles at home next week.

Berrios allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one over 3.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Friday.

Berrios gave up two home runs, though he initially stayed in the game after Nick Gordon's three-run blast in the fourth inning. The right-hander put two more runners on base before exiting. This is the sixth time Berrios has failed to complete five innings in a start, and it was his worst outing since he yielded eight runs to the Brewers on June 26. Through 118 innings overall, the 28-year-old has a mediocre 5.19 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP and 107:29 K:BB. He'll look to put this bad outing behind him in a projected road start in Baltimore next week.

Cease (12-4) allowed one run on two hits and three walks over six innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over the Rangers.

Cease gave up an RBI single to Adolis Garcia in the first inning but settled in and fired five shutout innings afterward. He's now gone 10 consecutive starts allowing fewer than two runs and hasn't given up more than one earned run in a start since May 24. In 13 starts since that date, Cease is sporting a tremendous 0.59 ERA with a 95:34 K:BB. On the year, he owns a 1.98 ERA through 122.2 frames. Cease is lined up to start in Kansas City next week.

Mahle allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Friday.

Mahle's new home park, Target Field, is considered one of the league's more pitcher-friendly venues, but that wasn't the case Friday. The right-hander gave up a season-high three home runs, accounting for all four of the runs he allowed in his Twins debut. The long ball hasn't been much of an issue for Mahle this year, though he's now given up 15 over 20 starts. For the season, he owns a 4.49 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 119:40 K:BB across 110.1 innings. He's expected to draw an easier opponent next week in a projected road start versus the Angels.

Garcia was optioned to Triple-A Toledo following his start Friday against the Rays, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

He gave up zero earned runs on one hit and six walks while striking out three in four innings during a spot start. Garcia could come back up the next time the Tigers need a fill-in starter.

Skubal (arm) is scheduled to restart his throwing program within the next couple days, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The left-hander landed on the 10-day IL with arm fatigue earlier this week, and it's an encouraging sign he isn't expected to be shut down from throwing for long. Skubal won't be eligible to be reinstated to the active roster until Aug. 17, but it's unclear if he'll be ready at that point. Bryan Garcia was promoted to start Friday against the Rays in Skubal's place.
