Suarez (1-2) allowed four runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one in 3.2 innings to take the loss during Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Suarez hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his last five outings and held Baltimore scoreless over three innings Sunday, but he struggled against the surging Orioles in the bottom of the fourth inning and took his first loss since April 30. Over his last five appearances, the southpaw has posted a 3.80 ERA in 23.2 innings. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Dodgers on Saturday.

Baz (1-2) allowed seven runs on eight hits over 2.1 innings Sunday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Reds.

Baz turned in a pair of scoreless frames before the Reds tagged him for seven runs in the third. He gave up three two-run homers in the inning to Jonathan India, Tyler Stephenson and Mike Moustakas. The 23-year-old righty had allowed just two home runs through 24.2 frames entering Sunday's start. Baz now owns an unsightly 5.00 ERA with a 30:9 K:BB over six starts. He's lined up to face Baltimore at home next week.

Whitley exited Sunday's start at Triple-A Sugar Land due to right shoulder inflammation, Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston reports.

Whitley appeared to be favoring his throwing arm as he left the field Sunday, and he's apparently dealing with inflammation. It's not yet clear whether the issue will require a trip to the injured list.

Whitley was removed from Sunday's start at Triple-A Sugar Land due to an apparent right arm injury, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Whitley was activated from the injured list Monday after recovering from Tommy John surgery, so it's concerning that he was favoring his throwing arm as he exited Sunday's matchup in the top of the second inning. The exact nature and severity of his injury aren't yet clear.

Gilbert allowed four runs on nine hits and struck out seven over six innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Gilbert took a no-decision for the first time since June 3. The nine hits and four runs he allowed both matched season highs, though it was a positive to see him not issue a walk for the fifth time in 18 starts. The right-hander threw 69 of 99 pitches for strikes but recorded only nine whiffs. Gilbert has a 2.80 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 100:29 K:BB through 106 innings this season. He's projected for one more start before the All-Star break, which is expected to be a road matchup with the Rangers next weekend.

Irvin (3-7) allowed two runs on five hits and struck out two without walking a batter over six innings, but he took the loss Sunday versus the Astros.

Irvin gave up an RBI double to Alex Bregman in the first inning and an RBI single to Korey Lee in the fifth. With the Athletics' lack of run support, that was enough to send Irvin to his fifth loss in his last six starts. The southpaw has posted three quality starts in that span and still boasts respectable ratios in the form of a 3.32 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 58:18 K:BB across 89.1 innings this year. His next start is also projected to be against the Astros, as he lines up to pitch next weekend in Houston.

Odorizzi (4-2) allowed four hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in seven shutout innings, earning the win Sunday over the Athletics.

Quality of opponent aside, this was a convincing performance for Odorizzi after he struggled in his first game back from ligaments strains and sprains in his lower right leg. He posted his longest start of the year with a season high in strikeouts. The right-hander has been generally effective with a 3.38 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 31:14 K:BB across 42.2 innings in nine starts overall. Odorizzi is lined up for another start versus the Athletics next weekend, with that game in Houston.

Dunning allowed four runs on six hits, four walks and a hit batter with two strikeouts in 2.1 innings versus the Twins on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.

Dunning avoided a loss as the Rangers' offense kept the game close, but this was his third start of less than five innings in his last seven outings. He was inefficient, throwing 38 of 66 pitches for strikes as he struggled to scrape together seven outs. The right-hander has given up four or more runs in six of his 18 starts, leading to a 4.42 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 84:37 K:BB across 95.2 innings. He'll look to get back on track in a home start versus the Mariners next week.

Bundy (5-4) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in five innings, earning the win Sunday over the Rangers.

The Twins never trailed in this contest, though Bundy was far from sharp. He had allowed six runs (five earned) in 24 innings across his last four starts, but a three-run double by Josh Smith and a sacrifice fly from Corey Seager accounted for all four runs on Bundy's line Sunday. The right-hander was able to escape with the win when Ryan Jeffers put the Twins ahead with a homer in the sixth inning. For the season, Bundy's posted a 4.68 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 57:16 K:BB through 75 innings in 15 starts. He's lined up for a home start versus the White Sox next weekend.

Greinke (3-5) earned the win Sunday over Cleveland, striking out five in five scoreless innings while allowing three hits and a walk.

Greinke scattered three singles and a walk, and no baserunner made it past second base against him. The five strikeouts Sunday tied his season high. Since returning from an elbow injury in June, he's tossed at least five innings and held his opponents to one run or fewer in three of four starts. His next start will likely be this weekend in Toronto.
