Anderson didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Rangers, allowing three runs on six hits over 5.1 innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

The southpaw held Texas scoreless for four innings in his Seattle debut before he began to fade, and Anderson exited after 87 pitches (62 strikes). He was in line for the loss before the M's tied it up in the top of the ninth to get him off the hook. Justin Dunn (shoulder) and Justus Sheffield (forearm) are expected to rejoin the rotation at some point in August, which could push Anderson into a long-relief role, but until then the 31-year-old will try to help keep his new club in the wild-card hunt. On the season, he sports a 4.39 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 89:25 K:BB through 108.2 innings.

Eovaldi (9-6) took the loss Saturday, coughing up six runs (five earned) on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings as the Red Sox fell 9-5 to the Rays. He struck out six.

Four of the six hits off Eovaldi went for extra bases, including two-run homers by Ji-Man Choi and Francisco Mejia -- the first time all season he's served up multiple home runs in a game. The right-hander tossed 105 pitches (69 strikes) before exiting, and he'll take a 3.71 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 120:22 K:BB through 121.1 innings into his next outing.

Irvin (7-10) was charged with the loss Saturday against the Angels after allowing one run on five hits with six strikeouts and a walk across 6.1 innings.

Shohei Ohtani doubled home a run during the third inning, but Irvin otherwise kept the Halos off the board. The left-hander has lost three of his past four starts, though he had no chance to win Saturday as Oakland's offense was unable to scratch across a run. Irvin has a 3.50 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 90:22 K:BB over 123.1 innings this season and should take the mound versus the Rangers next weekend.

Manoah (3-1) earned the win Saturday versus Kansas City after giving up two hits and a walk with four strikeouts over seven shutout innings.

Manoah made his first start since July 9 after dealing with a back injury and surrendered only a pair of singles to the Royals. The right-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in three of his past four outings and has a 0.76 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 23.3 innings during that stretch. He has an impressive 2.47 ERA and 0.97 WHIP through his first eight major-league starts and should be a consistent presence in Toronto's rotation down the stretch.

Keuchel allowed five runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings Saturday against Cleveland. He did not factor into the decision.

Three of the five hits against Keuchel were home runs, the second straight game in which he's served up a trio of long balls. Franmil Reyes delivered the knockout blow with an RBI double in the sixth inning that gave Cleveland a 6-4 lead. The 33-year-old Keuchel, who has yielded 11 homers over his last six starts, is 7-4 in 21 appearances this season with a 4.51 ERA and 1.35 WHIP.

McKenzie allowed six runs on four hits and three walks over four innings in a no-decision Saturday against the White Sox. He struck out a pair.

McKenzie was touched up for three long balls, including a grand slam by Seby Zavala in the fourth inning that broke the game wide open and gave Chicago a 6-1 lead. The 23-year-old McKenzie has alternated good starts with bad ones in his four appearances since being recalled from the minors earlier this month. He had managed to minimize the walks prior to issuing three free passes Saturday, but he's also allowed six home runs in his last three outings. All told, McKenzie has posted a 5.57 ERA in July and a 6.11 mark in 15 games (14 starts) overall.

Ober allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts through four innings, taking a no-decision in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Cardinals.

Ober inherited an early 7-0 lead Saturday night and did his part to ensure the Cardinals couldn't stage a comeback. The only damage against his line came on a Harrison Bader RBI base hit in the fourth inning. Saturday marked his first start since in which he didn't allow multiple earned runs since July 5. His six strikeouts were one shy of his career high. The rookie has been a reliable option for the Twins since joining the rotation full-time in June. However, Minnesota's reluctance to allow Ober to go deep into ballgames limits his ability to accrue wins.

Berrios cleared intake protocols and will make his Blue Jays debut Sunday versus the Royals, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

The right-hander lined up to pitch Friday for the Twins before being traded to the Blue Jays, and he'll debut for his new team just two days later. Berrios posted a 3.48 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 126:32 K:BB over 121.2 innings (20 starts) for Minnesota this season, and he'll attempt to continue that form with Toronto.

Springs was removed from Saturday's game against the Red Sox with a sprained right knee, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

The right-hander suffered the injury when his knee buckled while he was attempting to field a bunt. Springs faced three batters prior to exiting and had one strikeout while allowing two hits. It's not believed to be a serious injury, though the 28-year-old is still expected to require a trip to the injured list, per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

Cobb (wrist) doesn't believe he'll require a long stay on the injured list, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Cobb underwent scans of his wrist, which didn't turn up anything too worrisome. He's also no longer dealing with the blister that forced him to exit his most recent start early. Whether or not he'll be able to return in the minimum 10 days remains to be seen, but it doesn't sound as though he'll be out for an extended period.
