Bubic (3-4) allowed a run on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings to earn the win Friday over Detroit.

After covering six innings of relief last Thursday, Bubic re-entered Kansas City's rotation and delivered a similar workload. He was able to limit the damage to a third-inning solo home run by Willi Castro. The southpaw has seen a versatile role this year with nine of his 17 appearances being starts, and he's posted a 4.72 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 57:35 K:BB across 68.2 innings. If he's needed to cover for Brady Singer (shoulder) or Danny Duffy (forearm) again, Bubic tentatively lines up to face the White Sox next week.

Rasmussen will start Saturday's bullpen game against Cleveland, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Rasmussen has pitched two innings in each of his last three appearances, and he's posted a 1.50 ERA and 0.83 WHIP during that time. He'll begin the contest on the mound as the Rays plan to utilize a bullpen game in Cleveland on Saturday.

Cobb exited Friday's game against Minnesota with a right index finger blister.

Cobb was removed from Friday's matchup while warming up for the sixth inning, and it's not yet clear whether his blister will warrant a trip to the injured list. If the righty is able to make his next turn through the rotation, he tentatively lines up to start at home against the Athletics on Thursday.

Cobb was removed from Friday's game against the Twins with an apparent finger injury, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Cobb allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out four in five innings to begin Friday's game. He came out to warm up prior to the sixth inning but appeared to be looking at his finger while throwing his warmup pitches, and he was removed from the game after a brief visit with trainers. The severity of the right-hander's injury isn't yet clear.

Wells was placed on the 10-day injured list with right wrist tendinitis Friday, retroactive to July 20, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Wells hadn't pitched since he struck out two in a scoreless inning against the Rays on Monday, and he's apparently dealing with a wrist injury. However, the right-hander isn't expected to require a lengthy stint on the injured list, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

Rodriguez left Friday's game against the Yankees after one inning due to migraine issues, according to the MLB Network broadcast.

At least this is something that gives Rodriguez a chance of making his next start, but for Friday's purposes it was pretty much a worst-case scenario for those with fantasy shares in the southpaw, as he allowed a run while giving up two hits and a walk in his only inning and could still be on the hook for a loss if things don't go Boston's way. Phillips Valdez replaced Rodriguez and has looked fantastic in the early going.

Rodriguez exited Friday's game against the Yankees due to migraine symptoms, Steve Hewitt of the Boston Herald reports.

Rodriguez motioned to trainers after giving up a double in the second inning and was removed from the contest, but it's unlikely that his departure will force a long-term absence. If he returns to full health in the coming days, the southpaw tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

However, he motioned to trainers after the play and was hunched over on the mound for several minutes before he exited the game. He gave up a run on two hits and a walk while striking out one in one inning prior to his departure. The exact nature and severity of his injury aren't yet clear.

Kluber (shoulder) threw 20 pitches off a mound Friday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The veteran right-hander was limited to throwing fastballs and came out of the bullpen session with no issues. It's the first time Kluber's been on a mound since landing on the injured list in late May, so it's a significant step in his rehab work. The 35-year-old still has a ways to go before a potential return date is pinpointed, and he's unlikely to rejoin the Yankees before September.

Lynch will be recalled from Triple-A Omaha to start Sunday against the Tigers, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

The young lefty made his first three major-league starts back in May and got tagged for 14 earned runs on 18 hits in eight innings before returning to the minors. Lynch hasn't pitched all that well at Triple-A this year either with a 5.84 ERA and 1.61 WHIP, but he'll look for better results during his second stint in the big leagues.
