Bassitt (9-2) tossed seven scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and a walk as well as seven strikeouts in a 3-1 victory over the Rangers on Wednesday.

Bassitt was nearly unhittable in this one and wasn't challenged much outside of the sixth, when the Rangers had runners on the corners before Joey Gallo grounded out to end the inning. The 32-year-old is now tied for second in baseball with nine wins and tied for fourth with 11 quality starts. He owns a 3.04 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 109:27 K:BB over 106.2 innings but faces a stiff challenge next week in an expected start against the Astros in Houston.

Allard (2-4) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings in a loss to the Athletics on Wednesday.

All of the damage against Allard came in the second inning. He allowed the first two batters to reach before Matt Chapman eventually scored on a sacrifice fly and Frank Schwindel launched a two-run homer to put the Rangers in an early 3-0 hole. Allard took his second straight loss and received minimal run support, as he was outdueled by Chris Bassitt despite posting his second quality start of the year. The 23-year-old has shown some potential this season with a 3.46 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 49:11 K:BB over 52 innings.

Cease (7-3) allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven over six innings to gain the victory over Minnesota on Wednesday.

Cease didn't have to be good as the White Sox hit six home runs and scored 13 times in a romp over the Twins, but he still delivered a quality start. It was his second straight win and fourth in the last five starts. Cease's next start is projected for Monday at Minnesota.

Garcia (6-5) allowed four runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five over four innings as he was tagged with the loss Wednesday against the Orioles.

Garcia struggled off the bat as he walked three guys and allowed two hits in the first frame, which amounted to all four runs he surrendered. The 24-year-old was able to settle in thereafter, allowing just a base hit over the following three innings. The four earned runs were the most he's let up all year, and Wednesday was the first time he's walked more than two batters since April 20. Garcia has still been impressive for a majority of the season with a 3.14 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 90:27 K:BB over 80.1 innings. He lines up for a meeting against the Athletics at the beginning of next week.

German did not factor in the decision against the Angels on Wednesday, completing three innings and allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two.

The right-hander's night was over after rain halted play before the fourth inning, but he likely wouldn't have gone much longer anyway after throwing 72 pitches through three frames. German gave up two first-inning runs and another in the second, and he left the bases loaded in the third (though the inning would have been over after four batters if not for an error). The poor appearance extended a stretch of four straight subpar starts for the hurler, who has posted a 9.98 ERA, 2.09 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB across 15.1 innings during that stretch. He'll attempt to the right the ship his next time out, which is likely to take place early next week at Seattle.

Wacha allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while tossing three relief innings during Wednesday's loss to the Nationals. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision

Tampa Bay opted to use Drew Rasmussen as an opener ahead of Wacha despite the right-hander coming off a strong start in his previous outing against Boston. Wacha entered in the bottom of the fourth trailing 6-5, and Washington didn't take long to extend its lead following his entrance. Solo homers in the fourth and fifth extended the Nationals' lead to 8-5 before Wacha yielded three more runs in the sixth. Wacha now holds a 5.26 ERA following the shaky outing, but he still figures to take the ball in some form during next week's series against Cleveland.

Quantrill lasted only 3.1 innings during Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against Detroit, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three.

The right-hander struggled immensely against Detroit's bottom-10 offense, yielding a season-worst eight hits, including three doubles. He allowed a pair of runs in the second inning and another before exiting in the fourth, with the final run on his ledger crossing the plate after his departure. Quantrill has been hit hard over his past two starts, yielding a combined 10 runs and 14 hits across 7.2 frames. He'll try to turn things around in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come at Tampa Bay early next week.

Rasmussen allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while throwing two innings as the opener during Wednesday's loss to the Nationals. He struck out two and did not factor in the decision.

Rasmussen was handed a 2-0 lead before even taking the mound, but he allowed two singles and a walk as the Nationals tied the game in the bottom of the first. He settled down to retire Washington in order in the second before exiting. The right-hander has allowed just those two runs across 6.2 innings with the Rays, and he should continue to serve in multiple roles going forward.

Urquidy said following Wednesday's loss to Baltimore that he doesn't expect to be on the injured for long after his MRI revealed tightness and inflammation in his right shoulder, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Urquidy was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier Wednesday after initially being diagnosed with shoulder discomfort, and his MRI didn't reveal anything overly alarming. His diagnosis resembles essentially the same injury that landed him on the IL for just under three weeks in May, so a similar return timeline could be in store this time around. The right-hander still seems likely to be out of the rotation through the All-Star break, though he'll become eligible to be activated July 10 against the Yankees.

Urena allowed four runs on five hits across 3.1 innings and did not factor into the decision Wednesday in Game 1 against Cleveland. He walked one and struck out five.

Urena had his start bumped back from Tuesday after that game was rained out, and the righty didn't benefit from the extra rest. He allowed four solo home runs in the first half of the doubleheader and has now given up 11 total long balls this season in 72.1 innings. The struggles keeping the ball in the park have led to a 6.22 ERA for Urena, which isn't a huge surprise considering he posted an ERA above 5.00 each of the last two years. He lines up to start again Monday against Texas, and fantasy managers should tread lightly given the 29-year-old's current form.
