Bundy (5-2) picked up the win Thursday against the Rangers, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk across 7.1 innings. He struck out 12.

Bundy allowed a run in the first, but did not allow Texas to score again until the eighth. The right-hander's 12 strikeouts set a season high. Bundy has allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his last four outings and will take a strong 2.48 ERA into his start against Arizona on Wednesday.

Civale (3-5) allowed four earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven across six innings to take the loss Thursday against the Royals.

Civale allowed four consecutive hitters to reach base in the third inning, accounting for three of his four earned runs. He was solid otherwise, racking up 15 of his 18 outs via either groundout or strikeout. Civale has cooled a bit since his strong start to the season, allowing 14 earned runs across his last 24 frames -- a span of four starts. Despite this rocky stretch, he's maintained a 3.88 ERA with a 56:10 K:BB across 58 innings. Civale will look to get back in the win column in his next outing, currently projected to come Wednesday at Chicago.

Garcia pitched a scoreless seventh inning during a 6-3 win over the Cardinals in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader to record his second save of the season.

With the Tigers down 3-0, Jose Cisnero got the final out of the fifth inning and tossed a clean sixth, setting Garcia up for the save chance after the team staged a late rally. Garcia has now delivered nine straight scoreless appearances, collecting both his saves and three holds over that stretch, but his 2:2 K:BB in 6.1 innings over that span isn't exactly dominant. Still, as long as he's getting results, he should remain part of Detroit's late-inning committee.

Eovaldi (calf) threw a bullpen session Wednesday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Eovaldi was able to throw without feeling discomfort in his leg, putting him in line to return this weekend. The Red Sox are targeting a start Saturday, though it would likely be a short outing.

Skubal (1-2) took the loss in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, surrendering six runs on three hits and four walks over two-plus innings. He struck out three.

The young southpaw unraveled in the third inning, as the first four batters he faced all reached base and Joe Jimenez then allowed all his inherited runners to score after Skubal got the hook. Skubal's ERA jumped over two-and-a-half runs as a result of the debacle, and he'll carry a 7.27 mark with a 17:8 K:BB through 17.1 big-league innings into his next outing Wednesday, at home against the Royals.

Gibson (1-5) was handed the loss Thursday against the Angels. He allowed five runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out three over 5.2 innings.

Gibson gave up three runs in the first inning and allowed 13 of the 28 batters faced to reach base. The right-hander sports an 8.07 ERA over the last four starts and a 6.14 mark for the season. Gibson is next scheduled to throw Wednesday on the road against Houston.

Singer (2-4) allowed one hit and two walks while striking out eight across eight scoreless innings to earn the win Thursday against Cleveland.

Singer held a no-hitter through 7.2 innings, broken up by an Austin Hedges single. He dominated the Cleveland lineup, generating 23 called strikes and 18 swinging strikes across 119 total pitches. The strong start was needed, as Singer had allowed three or more earned runs in four consecutive outings -- never working six innings. Across his first 48.1 frames in the big leagues, Singer has maintained a 4.66 ERA and 44:17 K:BB. He's projected to take his next turn through the rotation Friday, Sept. 18 at the Brewers.

Urquidy (0-1) allowed two earned runs on two hits and three walks while striking out one over six innings, taking the loss against Oakland on Thursday.

The offense mustered just two hits, and the Astros fell to 1-8 on their road trip, but Urquidy offered a reason for optimism. The right-hander retired the first 10 batters faced and didn't allow a hit until the fifth inning. He was eventually nicked when Matt Olson hit a two-run home run following a two-out walk. Urquidy threw 88 pitches and is getting stronger leading up to his start next Thursday at home against Texas.

Lyles will follow opener Luis Garcia in Friday's game against the Athletics, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.

Lyles was originally expected to start the series opener, but now the right-hander will serve as the primary pitcher after Garcia opens the tilt. The Rangers utilized the same strategy Sept. 1, with the tandem combining to allow three runs over six innings in a win over Houston.

Cole's scheduled start Thursday against the Orioles was postponed.

The Yankees and Orioles will make up Thursday's contest as part of a doubleheader Friday. Cole will start the first game of the twin bill, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
