Kremer was recalled from the Orioles' alternate training site and will start Sunday against the Yankees, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Kremer was added to the 40-man roster last November after a successful run at the Double-A level and will now get a chance to make his major-league debut opposite Masahiro Tanaka. Part of the Orioles' return for Manny Machado in 2018, Kremer averaged 10.9 K/9 across four minor-league seasons. The 24-year-old may be here to stay, though it's unclear how built up he is at the moment.

Maeda didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Tigers, giving up three runs on two hits and a walk over six-plus innings. He struck out eight.

He was locked in a 1-1 pitchers' duel with rookie Tarik Skubal heading into the seventh inning, but after Maeda gave up a walk and a single to begin the frame he got the hook and had to watch as Tyler Clippard allowed both inherited runners to score. It was still Maeda's second straight quality start and his sixth of the season, and he'll carry a 2.77 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and massive 56:8 K:BB through 48.2 innings into his next outing Sept. 12, at home against Cleveland.

Canning didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Astros, giving up four runs on four hits and two walks over four innings in a 10-9 win. He struck out four.

It was a bad evening for both pitching staffs, as the nightcap featured 13 runs as well, and Canning took his fair share of the lumps. The right-hander has only managed to complete five innings twice in his eight starts, which helps explain his 0-3 record, but his 4.54 ERA and 1.36 WHIP could be a lot worse under the circumstances. Canning's ratios will be in jeopardy in his next outing, however -- a road start Friday in Coors Field.

Bielak didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Angels, giving up four runs on seven hits over 3.2 innings in a 10-9 loss. He struck out five without walking a batter.

He put his name in the history books by serving up Mike Trout's 300th career homer, but it was an otherwise forgettable effort from Bielak, who needed 77 pitches (52 strikes) to record 11 outs. He'll likely move into long relief from here on out, and the rookie's 6.00 ERA and 1.59 WHIP make him an unappealing fantasy option in a low-leverage role.

Gibson did not factor in the decision against Seattle on Saturday, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four.

Given Gibson's high pitch count -- he needed 104 pitches to record 14 outs -- the end result (two earned runs and a no-decision) can be considered a small victory. The right-hander's early exit can largely be attributed to a lack of command as 47 of his 104 pitches went for balls and one of the runs he allowed came across on a bases-loaded walk in the third inning. Free passes have been an issue for Gibson of late -- he has issued 12 walks in 21 innings over his last four starts, during which he has also given up 19 earned runs. The veteran will carry a 5.91 ERA into his next start, which will come Thursday at home against the Angels.

Odorizzi (abdomen) threw about 60 pitches at Minnesota's alternative training site in St. Paul on Saturday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. "Physically, he came out in a very good place. That was encouraging," manager Rocco Baldelli said.

Baldelli mentioned that Odorizzi will have another throwing session before the Twins decide on any timetable for his return. Odorizzi suffered an abdominal bruise after getting hit by a line drive in his Aug. 22 start and was placed on the injured list

Ray will start Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Ray followed Julian Merryweather and worked as a primary pitcher in his Blue Jays debut, but he will work as a traditional starter Sunday, taking the mound in the first inning and throwing as many innings as he can. Command will be key for Ray, who walked just one batter his last time out but issued 31 bases on balls over 31 innings with the Diamondbacks before being traded.

Anderson gave up six runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out three over four innings versus the Red Sox on Saturday. He did not factor in the decision.

Four of the six runs charged to Anderson came on three homers in the second inning. He also allowed a two-run double to Rafael Devers in the fourth. Anderson has yet to record a result is six starts this year, but Saturday was by far his worst performance. The right-hander now has a 4.94 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 21 strikeouts across 23.2 innings. He'll try to keep the ball in the yard Friday versus the Mets.

Civale allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six across six innings Saturday against the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Civale began the game with three clean innings but allowed two runs across his final three frames. Still, he managed to turn in a quality start after being roughed up for five earned runs in his prior outing. Across 52 innings this season, Civale has maintained a 3.63 ERA with a 49:9 K:BB. He's projected to draw his next start Thursday against the Royals.

Cole (4-3) allowed five runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out 10 in Saturday's loss to the Orioles.

Cole struck out eight of the first nine batters he faced. His second turn through the order wasn't as good, and a Thairo Estrada error in the sixth would ultimately lead to four extra runs charged to Cole. He's now lost three straight starts. The right-hander has a 3.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 70 strikeouts through 52 innings this season. Cole will look to stop his skid Thursday in a rematch with the Orioles.
