Luzardo won't make his scheduled start in Houston after Sunday's game was postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Oakland organization.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Athletics players and staff will self-isolate in Houston before Major League Baseball determines the organization's next step. The Athletics are currently scheduled to play their next game Tuesday in Seattle.

Boyd improved to 1-4 while covering a season-high six innings Saturday in the Tigers' 8-2 win over the Twins in the front end of a doubleheader. He gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits and no walks while striking out six.

While Boyd served up his ninth home run of the season in the outing, that was about the only blemish on his final line. After posting a 10.24 ERA through his first four starts of the season, the southpaw is now beginning to look like the staff ace Detroit had expected him to be. In his past three turns, Boyd has has submitted a 3.52 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB in 15.1 innings.

Montas (2-3) took the loss in Game 2 of Saturday's twin bill against Houston, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five.

Montas needed 76 pitches to get 10 outs in the short start. He fell behind in the first inning when Kyle Tucker cleared the bases with a three-run triple, and he gave up two more runs in the second on a home run off the bat of George Springer. Montas pitched well over his first four starts, but since returning from back tightness Aug. 18 he has yielded 18 earned runs in 9.2 innings, pushing his ERA to 6.06 on the season. The right-hander will try to bounce back when he returns home to face San Diego on Friday.

Odorizzi (abdomen) will throw a bullpen session when the Twins return to Target Field on Monday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Odorizzi suffered an abdominal bruise after getting hit by a line drive in his Aug. 22 start and was placed on the IL. He was too sore to throw the past few days, but it sounds like he's making progress. However, he may need some extended time to build back arm strength since he's only made three starts this season after beginning the season on the injured list due to a back injury.

McCullers (3-2) picked up the win in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the A's, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven.

The right-hander was impressive in his third quality start of the year, tying his season high in strikeouts while firing 60 of 93 pitches for strikes. McCullers' numbers are still reeling from a brutal outing in Arizona at the beginning of the month, however, and he'll carry a 5.06 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB through 37.1 innings into his next start Thursday, at home against the Rangers.

Bassitt (2-2) took the loss in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Astros, giving up four runs on six hits and three walks over three-plus innings. He struck out two.

Two of the hits off Bassitt left the yard, accounting for all the damage against him and all the Houston offense in the matinee, and the blasts inflated his ERA to 3.72. The right-hander threw 35 of 62 pitches for strikes before getting chased from what was his shortest outing of the year. He'll look to rebound in his next start Thursday in Seattle.

Singer allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings during Saturday's win over the White Sox. He had four strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The 24-year-old was unable to complete six innings through his first six starts, and that didn't change Saturday as he needed 95 pitches to get through five frames. Singer has a 5.19 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 31:14 K:BB through 34.2 innings lines up for another matchup with the White Sox on Thursday.

Lynn (4-1) allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out six across six innings to take the loss Saturday against the Dodgers.

The major damage came on a two-run homer by Cody Bellinger in the third inning. It was Lynn's first outing of the season in which he's allowed more than three runs, though he still managed to turn in a quality start. Despite the slight misstep, Lynn still maintains a 1.93 ERA with a 56:17 K:BB across 51.1 frames. He's projected to take his next turn through the rotation Friday in Seattle.

Cease gave up one run on one hit and six walks over 4.1 innings during Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Royals. He had five strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The only run Cease allowed actually came on a solo homer, despite the fact he delivered only 45 of his 93 pitches for strikes. It was an ugly outing, but he was able to limit the damage even without much command. The right-hander has a 3.00 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 27:18 K:BB through 36 innings and lines up to face the Royals again Thursday.

Cobb (1-3) allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out two across four innings to take the loss Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Cobb ran into trouble early, getting two outs in the first inning before allowing three consecutive batters to reach base and two runners to cross the plate. He settled in until the fourth frame, when he was tagged for three additional runs. Cobb has largely been effective this season, surrendering three or fewer earned runs in five of his seven starts. On the other hand, he's now been charged with 11 runs across his last last three outings, spanning 15.2 frames. Overall, he has a 4.33 ERA with a 24:12 K:BB across 35.1 innings for the season. Cobb is in line to take his next turn through the rotation Friday against the Yankees.
