Bielak (3-1) took the loss against San Diego on Saturday, pitching 1.1 innings and allowing seven runs on five hits and one walk while striking out two.

Bielak entered the game having given up four earned runs through his first 21.1 big-league innings, but the Padres nearly doubled that run total while making only four outs against the rookie. Of the five hits given up by Bielak, four were home runs, including a pair of long balls off the bat of Trent Grisham. Bielak's ERA soared from 1.69 to 4.37 as a result of his first major-league loss, and the outing was the shortest of his career. The 24-year-old will try to recover when he next takes the mound Thursday at home against the Angels.

Canning gave up three runs on six hits and two walks over 4.2 innings during Saturday's 4-3 win over the A's. He struck out three and didn't qualify for the decision.

It's become a familiar theme for the 24-year-old, as he's completed five frames in only one of his six starts this season. Canning has a 4.88 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 23:12 K:BB across 27.2 innings and will hope to find his first win Thursday at Houston.

Perez allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out six across seven innings Saturday against Baltimore. He did not factor into the decision.

Perez exited the game with a 3-1 lead but was betrayed by his bullpen. He allowed only a solo home run to Pat Valaika and turned in his first start without surrendering multiple free passes. Perez has a strong 3.45 ERA across 31.1 innings, but he hasn't been able to consistently work deep into games due to his inability to find the strike zone -- exhibited by his 4.3 BB/9. He's currently projected to take his next turn through the rotation Thursday at Toronto.

Cobb allowed two earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out one across five innings Saturday against the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Cobb threw four clean innings, only running into trouble in his final frame, when he surrendered a solo home run to Jackie Bradley and consecutive doubles to account for his two earned runs. While he wasn't particularly deceptive, Cobb stayed out of trouble by recording nine groundouts. Cobb has had a nice start to the campaign, earning a 3.73 ERA across six starts and 31.1 innings. He's currently projected to take his next turn through the rotation Friday at Toronto.

Bassitt (2-1) took the loss Saturday against the Angels after allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks. He struck out six over 5.2 innings.

The 31-year-old ran into trouble early as the Halos tallied all four of their runs across the first two frames, but he settled down for the rest of the outing. Bassitt has a 2.97 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 28:9 K:BB through 33.1 innings, and he'll look to get back in the win column Thursday at Texas.

Ryu didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Rays, giving up one run on three hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

The southpaw was clinical once again, holding Tampa Bay to just a single through four innings, but Willy Adames and Joey Wendle led off the fifth with back-to-back knocks that put Adames in position to score on Manuel Margot's fielder's choice. Ryu threw 61 of 94 pitches for strikes, and he's given up one run or fewer in four straight outings to lower his ERA to 3.19. He'll look to get back into the win column Thursday, at home against the Red Sox.

Boyd (0-4) allowed two earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six across 5.1 innings to take the loss Saturday against Cleveland.

Boyd had his best start of the season, only his second without allowing a home run. He did not surrender a run while in the game, but exited the contest with runners on first and second that the bullpen allowed to score. It's been an ugly start to the campaign for Boyd, as he has an 8.48 ERA and has allowed 2.5 HR/9 across six starts and 28.2 innings. He'll look to build on this positive outing his next turn through the rotation, currently projected to come Thursday against Minnesota.

McKenzie (1-0) allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10 across six innings to earn the win Saturday against the Tigers.

McKenzie was sharp in his big-league debut, limiting the Tigers to a solo home run by Willi Castro in the fourth inning. Otherwise, he racked up 16 called strikes and 17 swinging strikes across 80 total pitches, showcasing plenty of deception. While a strong prospect in Cleveland's minor-league system, it's unclear what McKenzie's role in 2020 will be given that he was called up to fill the rotation spot of Zach Plesac.

Odorizzi (abdomen) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Odorizzi was hit in the chest by a line drive that forced him out of Friday's start early, and he'll miss additional time as a result of the injury. It's unclear exactly how much time he'll have to spend on the injured list. The right-hander sputtered out of the gates to begin the season as he carries an 8.10 ERA over 10 innings during his first three starts, albeit with a strong 9:2 K:BB. Sean Poppen and Daniel Coulombe were added to the 28-man roster in corresponding moves.

McKenzie was called up from the Indians' alternate training site ahead of his scheduled start Saturday.

McKenzie will make his major-league debut Saturday as he fills in for Zach Plesac, who is at the alternate training site after he broke COVID-19 protocols. The right-hander pitched for Double-A Akron last season and posted a 2.68 ERA and 1.01 WHIP over 90.2 innings. Outfielder Bradley Zimmer was optioned to alternate camp in a corresponding move.
