Wade Miley SP | CIN
Astros' Wade Miley: Wheels come off in fifth
Miley (6-4) allowed three runs on four hits with six strikeouts and four walks across 4.1 innings while taking a loss against the Reds on Monday.
The veteran threw four shutout frames, but then in the fifth, he allowed three hits and three walks while recording just one out, which was a sacrifice bunt from the opposing pitcher. Two of those three walks came around to score. The loss drops Miley to 6-4 on the season, but he's still continued the resurgence to his career that he experienced during 80.2 innings with the Brewers last season. Miley owns a 3.30 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 71 strikeouts in 84.2 innings this season. His next start, though, will come at the high-powered Yankees on Saturday.

Lance Lynn SP | STL
Rangers' Lance Lynn: Strikes out nine in win
Lynn (8-4) gave up one run on six hits and no walks while striking out nine through seven innings, taking the win against the Indians on Monday.
Lynn only allowed a solo home run to Francisco Lindor while otherwise shutting down the Indians. The 32-year old continued his impressive run with his eighth straight quality start. He has a 2.92 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 66:8 K:BB in that span. Lynn will get the White Sox in his next start Saturday at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Indians' Mike Clevinger: Shaky in return
Clevinger (1-1) gave up five runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven through 4.2 innings, taking the loss against the Rangers on Monday.
It was a mixed bag of results for Clevinger as his stuff looked electric, but he also wasn't very efficient, throwing 91 pitches in 4.2 innings. He went down with an apparent ankle injury in the second inning, but was able to remain in the game. This was the first start in over two months for Clevinger, so there is likely some rust to shake off before he returns to form. The 28-year old has a 1-1 record with a 2.70 ERA through only three starts this season. Clevinger will look to get back on track Saturday against the Tigers.

Jose Berrios SP | TOR
Twins' Jose Berrios: Strikes out 10 in loss
Berrios (8-3) gave up one run on five hits and no walks while striking out 10 through eight innings, taking the loss against the Red Sox on Monday.
Berrios allowed three straight hits to start the game to allow his only run, but proceeded to dominate the rest of his outing with 19 swinging strikes. The 25-year old continued his consistency with his fifth straight quality start and has a 1.85 ERA in that span. Berrios will look to keep rolling in his next start Saturday against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

Yonny Chirinos SP | MIA
Rays' Yonny Chirinos: Hit with loss despite quality start
Chirinos (7-3) took the loss Monday as the Rays fell 3-0 to the Yankees, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over six innings while striking out six.
The 25-year-old delivered his second straight quality start, but with Masahiro Tanaka firing a shutout for the Yankees, that simply wasn't good enough. Chirinos will take a 3.00 ERA and 68:15 K:BB over 81 innings into his next outing Saturday in Oakland.

Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX
Red Sox's Nathan Eovaldi: Plays catch Monday
Eovaldi (elbow) played catch Monday and is set to resume his throwing program, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
As anticipated, Eovaldi was able to play catch Monday, and he felt good enough for the Red Sox to announce that he'll resume his throwing program. A timetable for his return remains murky, though he may be on the shelf until after the All-Star break.

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Mariners' Tommy Milone: Officially following opener
Milone will serve as the primary pitcher Monday against the Royals, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Taylor Scott is working as the opener, with Milone set to follow and cover the majority of innings. The southpaw has pitched well as a bulk reliever in his last two trips to the mound, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven across 11.1 innings.
-
Corey Kluber SP | BOS
Indians' Corey Kluber: Moved to 60-day IL
Kluber (forearm) was shifted to the 60-day injured list Monday.
This is simply procedural; Kluber has already been sidelined for six weeks and is still weeks away from returning, as he has yet to resume throwing. Mike Clevinger (back), who is scheduled to start Monday against the Rangers, was activated from the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Indians' Mike Clevinger: Activated ahead of start
Clevinger (back) was activated from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Monday against the Rangers.
Clevinger is set to rejoin the rotation after spending more than two months on the shelf with a back injury. The right-hander was lights-out prior to getting injured, striking out 22 across 12 scoreless innings in two starts. Corey Kluber (forearm) was shifted to the 60-day injured list while Josh Smith was optioned to Triple-A Columbus in a pair of corresponding roster moves.

Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Mariners' Tommy Milone: Likely working behind opener
Milone is expected to work behind an opening pitcher in Monday's game against the Royals, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Seattle hasn't formally clarified its plans for Monday's game, but Milone will be in line to cover the majority of the innings for the team regardless if he's deployed out of the bullpen or as a traditional starter. The lefty has fared well as a bulk reliever in his last two turns, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over 11.1 innings.
