  • Frankie Montas RP | NYM

Athletics' Frankie Montas: Too generous in no-decision

Montas allowed four runs on four hits and five walks in four innings while striking out five and taking a no-decision in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Angels.

Montas was uncharacteristically wild, with the five walks a season high through 11 starts. It was also his shortest start of the season. Montas has a 2.81 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 66 strikeouts in 64 innings. He takes a 6-2 record into next Tuesday's rematch with the Angels in Anaheim.

  • White Sox's Lucas Giolito: Fans 10 in seventh win

Giolito (7-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over the Royals, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over eight innings while striking out 10.

The two teams completed Monday's suspended contest earlier in the afternoon Tuesday, and as a result Giolito's usual pre-game routine got disrupted. After serving up a three-run homer to Alex Gordon in the first inning, however, the right-hander slipped into gear and wound up tying his career high in strikeouts en route to his fifth straight win. The 24-year-old is starting to look like a bona fide ace for the White Sox, and he'll take a 2.85 ERA and 69:20 K:BB through 60 innings into his next start Sunday, at home against Cleveland.

  • Brad Keller RP | PHI

Royals' Brad Keller: Hit with sixth loss

Keller (3-6) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs on 10 hits and a walk over six innings while striking out three as the Royals fell 4-3 to the White Sox.

The right-hander continues to struggle, getting tagged with at least four runs for the fifth time in his last seven starts, but on the bright side Keller issued fewer than three free passes for the first time since March 28 -- his first outing of the season. He'll carry a 4.56 ERA and 48:42 K:BB through 71 innings into his next start Sunday, on the road against the Rangers.

  • Matthew Boyd SP | CHC

Tigers' Matthew Boyd: Dominates for fifth win

Boyd (5-4) pitched six scoreless innings to record the win Tuesday against the Orioles. He allowed six hits and a walk while striking out eight.

Boyd went six scoreless innings for the second straight outing, and he's lowered his season ERA to 2.85 in the process. A lack of run support has the lefty stuck with just a 5-4 record, but Boyd has been outstanding to start the season, which is further evidenced by his 88:15 K:BB through 72.2 innings. Boyd will look to keep his scoreless streak intact when he takes the mound again Sunday against the Braves.

  • Dylan Bundy SP | NYM

Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Turns in quality start

Bundy (2-6) allowed three earned runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out eight across seven innings to take the loss Tuesday.

Bundy was touched up for a run in each of the first two innings but managed to settle down to record his first quality start in his last four outings. While he's gotten relatively strong results this season -- he has a 4.58 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with 60 strikeouts across 59 innings -- he has allowed a troubling 2.0 HR/9. That could spell trouble for his next start, currently scheduled for next Tuesday against the Rangers at hitter-friendly Globe Life Park.

  • Mike Clevinger RP | PIT

Indians' Mike Clevinger: Simulated game scheduled

Clevinger (back) will throw a simulated game Saturday before embarking on a rehab assignment, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Clevinger is eligible to return from the 60-day injured list June 7 but will presumably be a few days behind that date even if he makes just one rehab start. A clearer timeline for his return should emerge over the weekend.

  • Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX

Red Sox's Nathan Eovaldi: Simulated game on tap

Eovaldi (elbow) will throw a simulated game Thursday or Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Eovaldi continues to work his way back from late-April elbow surgery. He appears to be tracking for a mid-June return as he'll likely still need a few rehab outings.

  • Ben Lively SP | CLE

Royals' Ben Lively: Added as 26th man

Lively is with the Royals as a 26th man Tuesday as they play a game and a half against the White Sox, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

The teams aren't quite playing a doubleheader but will still receive an extra player as they have to complete Monday's suspended game before starting Tuesday's contest. Expect Lively to serve as bullpen depth before likely heading back to the minors.

  • Luis Gil RP | NYY

Yankees' Luis Gil: Sharp outing in Low-A

Gil threw five scoreless innings for Low-A Charleston on Tuesday, allowing five hits and striking out six with no walks.

The 20-year-old right-hander bounced back from a six-run blowup in his last start with a sharp effort as he continues to excel in the South Atlantic League. Gil is sporting a 1.93 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 58 strikeouts through 42 innings, and he's impressively given up two runs or less in every start he's made this season aside from that last rough outing.

  • Tigers' Spencer Turnbull: Placed on bereavement list

Turnbull was placed on the bereavement list Tuesday.

Players on the bereavement list typically miss three days, so Turnbull could be back in time for his next scheduled start Friday against the Braves. Jeimer Candelario has been recalled in a corresponding move.
