Corey Kluber SP | BOS
Indians' Corey Kluber: Fans six in no-decision
Kluber didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-3 win over the Astros, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings while striking out six.
The right-hander's sluggish start to the season continues. Kluber's 35 strikeouts in 31 innings is in line with expectations, but his 5.81 ERA and 15 walks certainly aren't. He'll look to tighten things up in his next outing Wednesday, on the road in Miami.

Martin Perez SP | ATL
Twins' Martin Perez: Stifles O's for third win
Perez (3-0) picked up the win in Friday's 6-1 victory over the Orioles, allowing one run on six hits over six innings while striking out four.
The southpaw has now delivered two quality starts in three attempts, lasting at least six innings in all three. Perez appears to be locking down a rotation spot for Minnesota, and he'll take a 4.44 ERA and 23:13 K:BB through 26.1 frames into his next outing Wednesday, at home against the Astros.

Alex Cobb SP | DET
Orioles' Alex Cobb: Crushed again by Twins
Cobb (0-2) took the loss Friday, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits -- including four home runs -- and a walk over four innings while striking out two as Baltimore fell 6-1 to Minnesota.
The right-hander has faced the Twins in two straight outings and likely never wants to see them again, as they took him deep seven times in only 6.2 innings. Cobb now sports a 10.95 ERA, and his rotation spot could be hanging by a thread heading into his next scheduled start Wednesday, on the road against the White Sox.

Marcus Stroman SP | NYY
Blue Jays' Marcus Stroman: Allows zero runs in no-decision
Stroman allowed just one hit in seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and two walks in a no-decision against the Athletics on Friday.
The 27-year-old did more than enough to win his second straight game, but the Blue Jays bullpen tossed up a two-run homer in the eighth to give up the lead. Stroman has been one of the most unlucky starters in the league this season. Despite a 1.43 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and .197 batting average against, Stroman owns a 1-3 record. He also has 36 strikeouts in 37.2 innings. Stroman's next outing is scheduled to be on the road against the Angels on Thursday.

Carlos Rodon SP | NYY
White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Shelled by Detroit
Rodon allowed eight runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out five over three innings in Friday's no-decision against the Tigers.
Rodon simply didn't have it Friday night, as he surrendered two runs in the first, followed by one in the second, two in the third and three more in the fifth. The 26-year-old's ERA took a significant hit (2.89 to 4.94), especially this early in the season, but his team managed to get him off the hook for the loss by exploding for 12 runs on the night.

Charlie Morton SP | ATL
Rays' Charlie Morton: Bumped to Saturday
Morton will start Saturday's game against the Red Sox, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
As expected, Morton will start Saturday's contest after Friday's opener was rained out. Tyler Glasnow will toe the rubber for Sunday's series finale as a result.

John Means SP | KC
Orioles' John Means: To remain in rotation
Means will remain in Baltimore's rotation and is on track to start Monday against the White Sox, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
Means fared well in his latest spot start Wednesday against the White Sox, so the Orioles have elected to keep him in the mix. As a result, David Hess will transition to a bullpen role.

Lucas Giolito SP | SD
White Sox's Lucas Giolito: Nearing return to rotation
Giolito (hamstring) is expected to pitch on the White Sox's current homestand, which runs through May 5, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Giolito threw a side session Friday and is expected to require an additional throwing session before being cleared to return. General manager Rick Hahn indicated the team may need a spot starter, making a return on the back end of the homestand seem more likely.

Drew Smyly SP | CHC
Rangers' Drew Smyly: Scheduled to play catch
Smyly (arm) will attempt to play catch Friday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Smyly was placed on the 10-day injured list with what the team has called "nerve soreness" but was described by the pitcher as arm fatigue. He's expected to miss only one or two turns through the rotation.
