Luis Severino SP | ATH
Yankees' Luis Severino: Grabs 15th win
Severino (15-5) got the win Wednesday, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out eight over seven innings against the White Sox.
Severino's night got off to a rocky start with two runs allowed on three hits in the first inning, but he settled down from that point on to turn in his first quality start in his last six outings. The 24-year-old has seen his ERA balloon over a full run in that span, but on the year he still has a solid 3.11 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 10.0 K/9 and an AL-leading 15 wins. He'll look to build on this start Monday against the Mets.

Artie Lewicki SP | ARI
Tigers' Artie Lewicki: Strikes out five in relief
Lewicki allowed an earned run on three hits over three innings of relief work in Wednesday's loss to the Angels. He struck out five.
Lewicki, who was called up from Triple-A Toledo earlier in the day, pitched well in his return to the majors. The 26-year-old could slot into the rotation spot previously held by Mike Fiers, who was recently shipped to Oakland. Jacob Turner is also in the mix, but he struggled mightily in a start Tuesday, allowing seven runs (five earned) on six hits and a walk over just one inning of work.

Marco Gonzales RP | TEX
Mariners' Marco Gonzales: Tagged for seven runs in loss
Gonzales (12-7) took the loss Wednesday against the Rangers, allowing seven runs on 12 hits (two homers) while striking out three across five innings.
Gonzales just didn't have it in this one, allowing a career-high 12 hits and seven runs en route to his second consecutive loss. The 26-year-old served up a pair of homers -- both to Joey Gallo -- for a second straight outing after allowing just two homers in four July starts. He's now allowed 11 earned runs through 12 innings to start this month, raising his ERA from 3.37 to 3.76 in that two-start stretch. Gonzales will look to right the ship Sunday against the A's.

Adalberto Mejia SP | MIN
Twins' Adalberto Mejia: May not miss start
Mejia (wrist strain) could start Sunday's game in Detroit, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
He suffered what is believed to be a minor wrist injury during his start Tuesday against the Indians, but apparently did not need an MRI. The team's head athletic trainer was encouraged by Mejia's progress overnight, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. He will throw long toss Thursday and then throw a bullpen session Friday -- a day later than normal. If everything goes well, he could return for the series finale against the Tigers.

Artie Lewicki SP | ARI
Tigers' Artie Lewicki: Recalled from minors
Lewicki was called up from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Lewicki will likely take on a role in the Tigers bullpen upon his arrival, though he could potentially join the starting rotation after making a pair of spot starts for the big-league club this year. Over 11 appearances with Detroit, he's logged a 4.94 ERA and 1.61 WHIP.

Blake Snell SP | LAD
Rays' Blake Snell: Scheduled to start Friday
Snell is slated to make his next start Friday against the Blue Jays in Toronto, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
After coming off the 10-day disabled list Aug. 4 against the White Sox and tossing four innings of one-run ball, Snell would have been available to take the hill in Thursday's series finale against the Orioles on his normal four days' rest. It appears, however, that Rays manager Kevin Cash wants to give the All-Star an extra day to recover from last weekend's outing. Snell was limited to 59 pitches in his return from left shoulder fatigue, but he should take on a more normal workload Friday.

Carlos Carrasco RP | ATL
Indians' Carlos Carrasco: Allows three runs in loss to Twins
Carrasco (13-6) allowed three runs on 10 hits and one walk across 6.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Twins. He struck out eight.
Carrasco flirted with danger all evening, but the only runs against him came via a three-run home run off the bat of Mitch Garver in the second inning. The 10 hits allowed were a season high for Carrasco, but he still managed to deliver his fourth straight quality start and ran his K:BB to a sparkling 34:4 in that span. He was perhaps thrown off his routine by a rain delay of over two hours, but he still logged 97 pitches. Carrasco had also won five straight decisions prior to this minor hiccup and will look to get back in the win column in his next scheduled start this weekend against the White Sox.

Andrew Heaney RP | LAD
Angels' Andrew Heaney: Picks up win despite poor outing
Heaney (7-7) gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in a win over the Tigers on Tuesday.
The Angels put up a seven spot in the first inning, so Heaney was able to notch his seventh victory despite getting roughed up a bit. The southpaw probably would have gone further in the contest (only 85 pitches Tuesday), but he let a curveball catch too much of the plate in the fifth inning, and Jeimer Candelario made him pay with a two-out, two-run homer. Heaney has been serviceable as a fantasy asset this season, carrying a 3.96 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 3.6 K/BB ratio over 21 starts. He will complete a two-start week with a home matchup against the Athletics on Sunday.

Brad Keller RP | PHI
Royals' Brad Keller: Allows four runs in loss
Keller (4-5) allowed four runs on seven hits in a loss to the Cubs on Tuesday, striking out four and walking three in six innings.
Keller has had mixed results over his past several starts, going 2-2 with a 6.12 ERA over his last six outings. He still sports a good 3.57 ERA on the season to go along with a 1.38 WHIP and a .255 batting average against. His next start will come against the Blue Jays at home.

Adalberto Mejia SP | MIN
Twins' Adalberto Mejia: No MRI on tap
Mejia (wrist strain) does not have an MRI planned, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Mejia described the injury that forced him from Tuesday's start against the Indians as "a stinging effect in the lower left forearm closer to the wrist that kind of radiated up through the elbow," according to manager Paul Molitor. He tossed five one-hit innings on only 68 pitches prior to exiting with what was labeled as a wrist strain. The fact he isn't scheduled for an MRI makes it seem like Mejia has a shot to make his next scheduled start Sunday, although we should learn more in the coming days.
