Alex Cobb SP | DET
Orioles' Alex Cobb: Expected to make next start
While it was reported that Cobb left Sunday's start with a blister, manager Buck Showalter said it is actually more of a callous and he is not expected to miss his next start, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.
He will need to make it through his side session OK before the club confirms him for his next start, but for now Cobb is expected to take the hill Friday against the Rangers. Regardless of whether it is a callous or a blister, Cobb's 6.57 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 8.9 K:BB should scare away most fantasy owners.

Logan Gilbert SP | SEA
Mariners' Logan Gilbert: Shut down for season with illness
Gilbert, the 14th overall pick in the 2018 first-year player draft, has been shut down for the remainder of the season due to a bout of mononucleosis, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
The Mariners' top pick wasn't slated to see much action after putting in a heavy workload for Stetson University, but a mononucleosis diagnosis shortly after arriving in Low-A Everett has ended his campaign before it ever got started. General manager Jerry Dipoto relayed that Gilbert is recovering in Orlando after spending time in the hospital, and that he expects the 21-year-old to be ready to go for the organization's high-performance camp in September.

Shane Bieber SP | TOR
Indians' Shane Bieber: Fans seven but loses
Bieber (4-1) surrendered four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven across six innings as he took the loss Sunday against Oakland.
Bieber was cruising through five innings, allowing just two runs, but Stephen Piscotty extended Cleveland's deficit to four in the sixth inning after a two-run homer. The Indians didn't offer Bieber any run support, as they were held out of the scoring column. Bieber has given up four runs in each of his last two starts, although he managed to pick up the win in his previous outing with a little help from his offense. The 23-year-old right-hander owns a 3.47 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with a 36:6 K:BB over 36.1 innings this season, and he figures to pitch Friday against the Yankees.

Domingo German SP | PIT
Yankees' Domingo German: Turns in quality outing
German surrendered one run on four hits and two walks while fanning five over six innings Sunday against the Blue Jays, although he didn't factor into the decision.
German put together a strong outing on the hill, giving up just one run on a Kendrys Morales solo home run in the sixth inning that tied the game at 1-1. He certainly pitched well enough to pick up a win, but the Yankees didn't offer up enough run support. German has been inconsistent in 2018, accruing a 5.06 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with an 86:26 K:BB over 11 starts (74.2 innings).

Andrew Heaney RP | LAD
Angels' Andrew Heaney: Earns win with 10 strikeouts
Heaney (5-6) earned the win Sunday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks across seven innings in the 4-3 win over the Dodgers. He gave up a home run and struck out 10.
Heaney has 20 strikeouts over 14 innings in his last two outings, yielding six runs in the process. He's fanned 96 batters in 96 innings with a 3.94 ERA. The 27-year-old left-hander surpassed his career high in strikeouts Sunday and should soon pass his career mark of 105.2 innings. He'll carry his 5-6 record into another matchup with the Dodgers on Saturday.

Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX
Rays' Nathan Eovaldi: Tosses seven shutout innings
Eovaldi (3-3) blanked the Mets across seven innings, allowing just one hit while fanning nine as he notched the win Sunday.
Eovaldi has had his best stuff over his last three starts, allowing just two runs across 19 innings while striking out 23. He was extremely efficient Sunday, as he threw 79 pitches through seven innings, but Tampa Bay decided to pull its starter due to a seven-run lead. Eovaldi will look to keep it rolling in his next outing, which figures to come Friday against Minnesota.

Lucas Giolito SP | SD
White Sox's Lucas Giolito: Rebounds for solid effort
Giolito (5-8) allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three across 7.1 innings to take the loss Sunday against the Astros.
Giolito bounced back from surrendering seven earned runs in his previous start, putting together what would likely be considered his best outing of the season. While he didn't produce much in terms of strikeouts, he generated a season-best 13 groundouts. On a more negative note, he did surrender a home run, marking the eighth time in his past nine times taking the hill that he has surrendered at least one long ball. Though he has shown positive flashes throughout the season, his struggles with homers are enough to make him an unreliable fantasy option.

Martin Perez SP | ATL
Rangers' Martin Perez: Expected back from DL next weekend
Rangers manager Jeff Banister said Sunday that he expects Perez (elbow) to return from the 60-day disabled list at some point during next weekend's three-game series with the Orioles, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
It appears Perez's next appearance will come with the Rangers after he dazzled during his three-start minor-league rehab assignment. Over his three outings, Perez let in just one run and posted a 19:3 K:BB across 17.1 innings. He concluded the assignment with an 87-pitch start Thursday for Triple-A Round Rock, so Perez shouldn't face any limitations upon re-entering the Texas rotation. Yovani Gallardo would seem most at risk at losing his starting role once Perez is activated.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Earns win Sunday
Keuchel (6-8) allowed one earned run on six hits and three walks while striking out two across seven innings to earn the win Sunday against the White Sox.
Keuchel turned in a signature start, recording 17 of his 21 outs via the groundball. He did give up a lot of contact -- his two strikeouts were a season low -- but took advantage of a matchup against one of the weaker hitting teams in the league. After stumbling through much of June, Keuchel has put together two strong starts that span 14 innings, during which he has allowed just three earned runs.
