Brown did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Phillies, allowing three hits and no walks while striking out nine over seven scoreless innings.

Brown exited with a 1-0 lead after generating 16 whiffs on 96 pitches and allowing just one hard-hit ball. Despite giving up only four earned runs across five June outings, he'll finish the month with just one win to show for it. The 26-year-old leads the majors with a 1.74 ERA among qualified starters, along with a 0.89 WHIP and 118:28 K:BB across 98 innings. He's slated for a road matchup with the Rockies next week.

Schlittler has a 1.69 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 33:8 K:BB in 21.1 innings through four starts for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Schlittler was promoted from Double-A Somerset on June 3 after logging a 2.38 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 64:17 K:BB in 53 innings through 10 appearances at that level, after working 32.1 innings for Somerset in 2024. A 6-foot-6 righty, Schlittler sits at 95-96 mph with his fastball and touches 98 mph with excellent movement. He leans heavily on his 90-mph slider while occasionally mixing in a low-80s curveball. Schlittler is not on the 40-man roster, but he looks like he might be ready to help the big club this summer.

Lorenzen (4-8) took the loss against the Rays on Thursday, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Lorenzen was on track for a quality start before giving up back-to-back solo homers in the sixth inning. While the 33-year-old didn't issue a walk for the first time in eight starts, he's now surrendered 16 home runs across 16 outings this season. He'll carry a 4.91 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 73:28 K:BB over 88 innings into a road matchup with the Mariners next week.

Baz (8-3) earned the win against the Royals on Thursday, allowing three hits and one walk with nine strikeouts over eight scoreless innings.

Baz was dominant, throwing 69 of 97 pitches for strikes and retiring 19 straight batters at one point after giving up a leadoff double in the first inning. It marked the longest outing of the 26-year-old's major-league career, and he'll wrap up June with a 4-0 record across five starts. On the season, he sports a 4.37 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 86:35 K:BB over 90.2 innings and is slated for a home matchup with the Athletics next week.

Harrison is working on revamping his repertoire at Triple-A Worcester before joining their rotation, Tommy Cassell of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports.

Acquired from the Giants in the Rafael Devers trade, Harrison worked on some new pitches -- including a cutter and sinker -- during a live batting practice session this week. The lefty threw a four-seamer, slurve and changeup during his time in San Francisco, with Red Sox director of pitching Justin Williard calling the four-seamer a "unique fastball that's going to be his bread and butter." The Red Sox want Harrison to find some consistent secondary offerings to pair with the four-seamer, and senior director of player development Brian Abraham said "the returns have been really good so far" with the southpaw. Harrison figures to make at least a couple starts with Worcester as he works on his new offerings, but the plan seems to be to have him as part of Boston's rotation sooner rather than later.

Springs (6-6) took the loss Thursday against the Tigers, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

Springs gave up a solo shot to Spencer Torkelson in the second inning before the Tigers tacked on two more runs on a Jahmai Jones double in the third. Springs had turned in four straight quality starts prior to Thursday, posting a 3.12 ERA in that span (26 innings). His ERA sits at 4.30 with a 1.24 WHIP and 75:34 K:BB across 92 innings this season. Springs is currently scheduled for a road matchup with the Rays, his former team, in his next outing.

Enns (1-0) earned the win Thursday over the A's, allowing just one hit and two walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out four.

Detroit couldn't have asked for more from Enns, who was making his first major-league appearance since 2021 and his first start since 2017. Despite his stellar effort, the 34-year-old Enns is expected to head back to Triple-A Toledo, with Reese Olson (finger) nearing a return from the IL. Enns has posted a 2.89 ERA in 14 starts (62.1 innings) in Triple-A this year.

Bibee (4-8) took the loss Thursday against the Blue Jays, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits over six innings. He struck out seven.

Bibee has gone six straight outings without a win, despite posting three quality starts in that span. The 26-year-old right-hander sports a 3.80 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP and 82:26 K:BB across 16 starts (94.2 innings) this season, and he's already matched his career high with eight losses. Bibee will hope for better luck his next time out, though he lines up for a tough matchup next week against the Cubs.

Gausman (6-6) earned the win Thursday over the Guardians, allowing just two hits and a walk over eight scoreless innings. He struck out six.

It was a stellar bounce-back effort from Gausman, who gave up seven runs in 4.1 innings during his last start against the Diamondbacks. It's the third time that Gausman's made it through eight innings this season. He lowered his ERA to 4.21 with a 1.06 WHIP and 90:25 K:BB across 16 starts (94 innings). The veteran right-hander will look to build on Thursday's outing in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next week at home against the Yankees.

Astros manager Joe Espada said Thursday that McCullers (foot) is an "option" to start Saturday versus the Cubs, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

McCullers did some pitchers' fielding practice Thursday as he returns from a right foot sprain and it "went well," per Espada. As long as the pitcher bounces back well Friday, it sounds like he'll skip a rehab assignment and rejoin the rotation Saturday, which is the first day he's eligible.
