  • Vicente Campos SP | PIT

Angels' Vicente Campos: Re-signs with Angels

Campos inked a minor-league deal with the Angels.

The Angels released Campos on Sept. 12, but evidently they had a change of heart. Campos missed a lot of time in 2017 after having surgery to remove a bone spur in June, which shut him down for a couple of weeks. He finished the year at Triple-A Salt Lake, where he posted a respectable 3.18 ERA across 16.1 innings. The 25-year-old right-hander needs to stay healthy in 2018 if he hopes to make his way back to the major leagues.

  • Red Sox's Eduardo Rodriguez: To come out of bullpen in ALDS

Rodriguez will likely be used as a left-handed specialist for the ALDS against Houston, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.

With the addition of Doug Fister to the active roster, Rodriguez will likely come out of the bullpen, since manager John Farrell stated that Fister would only be used in the rotation. This move doesn't come as much of a surprise considering Rodriguez was hit pretty hard by the Astros on Thursday, allowing five runs on six hits and a pair of walks in 1.2 innings. Although there has been no official word on the rotation beyond the first two games, it seems highly unlikely that Rodriguez will start Game 3 or 4, meaning that he should be available out of the bullpen immediately, effective for Game 1 on Thursday.

  • Sonny Gray SP | BOS

Yankees' Sonny Gray: Will start Game 1 of ALDS

Gray will start Game 1 of the ALDS against the Indians on Thursday, Nick Camino of Newsradio WTAM 1100 reports.

The Yankees used their ace, Luis Severino, for Tuesday's wild-card game, so they'll turn to Gray for Thursday's series opener. The 27-year-old posted a 3.72 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 11 starts since being acquired by the Yankees. He'll face Trevor Bauer and a difficult Indians lineup in his first playoff appearance since 2013.

  • Indians' Carlos Carrasco: Tabbed for Game 3 start

Carrasco is scheduled to pitch Game 3 of the ALDS against either the Twins or Yankees.

Carrasco will get the nod for Game 3 after compiling 18 wins to go along with an impressive 3.28 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 226 strikeouts in 200 innings (32 starts) this season. He tossed 8.1 scoreless innings in his last start of the regular season, striking out 14 batters. Trevor Bauer will start Game 1, with Corey Kluber getting the ball for Game 2.

  • Corey Kluber SP | BOS

Indians' Corey Kluber: Tabbed for Game 2 start

Kluber will start Game 2 of the ALDS against either the Twins or Yankees.

The Indians will give the ball to Trevor Bauer for Game 1, lining Kluber up to pitch Game 2 and a potential Game 5 on regular rest. The ace posted a ridiculous 1.79 ERA and 142:12 K:BB in 15 starts (110.1 innings) after the All-Star break, and will look to carry his dominance into the playoffs.

  • Chris Sale SP | ATL

Red Sox's Chris Sale: Will start Game 1 of ALDS

Sale will start Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday against the Astros, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Sale showed some signs of fatigue in the second half, but overall was very impressive in his first year with the Red Sox. The 28-year-old compiled a 2.90 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 308 strikeouts in 214.1 innings during the regular season.

  • Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL

Astros' Dallas Keuchel: To start Game 2 of ALDS

Keuchel will start Game 2 of the ALDS on Friday against the Red Sox.

He had some bumps in the road this season, but was very impressive on the whole. Keuchel posted a 2.87 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 28 strikeouts in 31.1 innings over five September starts. Justin Verlander will take the ball in Game 1.

  • Astros' Justin Verlander: Tabbed for Game 1 start

Verlander will start Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday against the Red Sox.

Verlander gets the ball in Game 1 and Dallas Keuchel will start in Game 2, as the former's excellent run since joining the Astros (1.06 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, 43 strikeouts in 34 innings) was enough to give him the edge in the postseason rotation. Given Verlander's famed durability and ability to hold his stuff deep into starts, it's possible that he will be called upon in Game 4 if the Astros are up against the ropes.

  • Luis Severino SP | ATH

Yankees' Luis Severino: Starting Wild Card Game

Severino will toe the rubber in Tuesday's Wild Card Game against the Twins, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The Yankees' ace will be opposed, unsurprisingly, by the Twins' Ervin Santana. Severino hasn't lost since Aug. 28, a span of five games, and will look to carry over his fantastic 2.98 ERA to the postseason in a one-game elimination setting.

  • Kevin Gausman SP | CHC

Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Takes loss despite strong performance

Gausman (11-12) took the tough-luck loss Sunday in Tampa Bay despite allowing only one run on six hits while striking out one without a walk over seven innings.

Gausman was dominant in this one, with the only major damage against him coming on a solo homer off the bat of Curt Casali. Unfortunately for Gausman, Baltimore's offense missed the memo that the offseason doesn't start until Monday and managed just three hits without a run to stick him with a second consecutive loss. The 26-year-old righty struggled with consistency en route to a 4.68 ERA in 34 starts, but he showed flashes of brilliance with seven starts of at least seven innings and one or fewer runs allowed in his last 17 appearances.
