Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Athletics' Sonny Gray: Tosses six strong despite illness
Gray (4-4) managed to toss six strong innings despite dealing with a stomach issue, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. He allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out five in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the White Sox.
The illness didn't appear to be an issue for the 27-year-old, who notched his third straight quality start en route to his fourth win of the season. He's allowed just four runs over 21 innings in that span to help lower his ERA to 4.00. Gray isn't scheduled to pitch again until after the All-Star break, so the extra rest should allow him to get back to full health before his next start. Hopefully his strong finish to the first half of the season is a prelude of what's to come after the break.

Blake Snell SP | LAD
Rays' Blake Snell: Rebounds nicely Wednesday
Snell struck out five and allowed four hits and four walks through five scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Wednesday.
This was a nice turnaround start for Snell, who was knocked around for six runs over five innings in his first outing back from the disabled list last week. The 24-year-old was unlucky to walk away with a no-decision, seeing as he exited the game with a three-run lead before the Rays' bullpen imploded for seven runs over the next three innings. While Wednesday was definitely a step forward from his previous start, Snell still issued four free passes, bringing his BB/9 up to an unsightly 5.9 on the season. The young southpaw and his 4.85 ERA won't see another start until after the All-Star break.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Astros' Joe Musgrove: Fans six in Wednesday's no-decision
Musgrove allowed four runs on five hits while striking out six over 5.2 innings but came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Braves.
He threw an impressive 77 of 93 pitches for strikes and held Atlanta scoreless through four innings before running into trouble in a four-run fifth. With a number of Houston pitchers set to return to action over the next couple of weeks, including Dallas Keuchel and Charlie Morton, Musgrove's outing may not have been good enough to allow him to hang onto a rotation spot coming out of the All-Star break.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Red Sox's Eduardo Rodriguez: Bullpen session scheduled
Rodriguez (knee) will rejoin the Red Sox and throw a bullpen session before the team determines the next step, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Rodriguez could make a third rehabilitation start Sunday or be activated and available out of Boston's bullpen over the final two games before the All-Star break. Manager John Farrell said the left-hander came out of his second rehab start Wednesday feeling good physically, prioritizing that over Rodriguez's sketchy command (five walks). The concern with Rodriguez is whether or not he's tentative on his knee, something that became an issue in 2016 when he opened the season with a knee injury. He covered first base a couple of times and fielded a bunt on the third base side without incident Wednesday.

Corey Kluber SP | BOS
Indians' Corey Kluber: Wins AL Pitcher of the Month for June
Kluber was named the American League Pitcher of the Month after going 4-0 with 64 strikeouts over 43 innings in June.
Jordan Bastian of MLB.com points out that Kluber joined Sam McDowell and Bob Feller as the only pitchers in Indians history with 64 or more strikeouts in one month. The Indians' ace recently moved into the organization's top-10 for career strikeouts while becoming the first pitcher in franchise history to have 10-plus punchouts in five straight starts. Despite missing a month due to a back injury, Kluber's 115 K's are fourth best in the AL, and the righty's 2.85 ERA and 0.97 WHIP place fourth and second, respectively, in the league. He looks primed for a strong second half.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Orioles' Wade Miley: Recognizes need for change
Miley, who's been hammered for 29 runs over his last 20.1 innings, acknowledged that his pitching is out of sorts and needs adjustments, Andrew Gruman of MLB.com reports.
Command has been Miley's Achilles heel of late, leading the lefty to a string of inefficient outings laced with deep counts and free passes. "You just have to keep grinding," Miley said. "You have to just keep working in the bullpen and just look for something to click. When it clicks, hopefully you can get headed in the right direction. I feel really good in my sides and in between, but it is just not translating, for whatever reason." Miley has fallen a long way since owning a 2.82 ERA after allowing just one earned run over seven innings against Boston on June 1. He'll get one more crack to right the ship before the break, but at this point, owners should look for more promising arms to deploy after the midsummer classic.

Felix Jorge SP | MIN
Twins' Felix Jorge: Will join rotation Friday
Jorge is expected to be recalled from Double-A Chattanooga to start Friday's game against the Orioles, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Jorge held his own in a spot start against the Royals over the weekend, prompting the Twins to give him another turn in the rotation for the injured Hector Santiago (back). He allowed three runs on seven hits in five innings of work to earn the win in his MLB debut. It's unclear how long he'll remain in the rotation at this point, but he could stick around if he pitches well given the inconsistency at the back end of the Twins' rotation.

Triston McKenzie SP | SD
Indians' Triston McKenzie: Continues to cruise at High-A
McKenzie struck out 11 and walked none while allowing an unearned run on three hits Tuesday for High-A Lynchburg.
McKenzie's 115 strikeouts on the season ranks second in all of MiLB. The 19-year-old has dominated in his first full season, going 7-4 with a 2.91 ERA and .187 BAA over 89.2 innings (16 starts). Although the Tribe wants to take it slow with the right-hander, the club will be hard-pressed to keep McKenzie from dabbling in Double-A this year.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Astros' Joe Musgrove: Recalled prior to start
Musgrove was called up by the Astros on Wednesday.
Musgrove will start Wednesday's series finale against the Braves after cruising through a start with Triple-A Fresno, during which he struck out seven over seven shutout innings. The right-hander got shelled against the Mariners during his latest outing at the major-league level and has struggled throughout the course of this season, posting a 6.01 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP in 13 starts.

Jay Groome SP | SD
Red Sox's Jay Groome: Returns from MiLB DL with stellar outing
Groome (back) tossed five innings of one-hit, shutout baseball in his return from the disabled list with Low-A Greenville on Tuesday en route to the win.
The top prospect made his return from the DL in style Tuesday, fanning seven hitters in his first outing with the Drive since tweaking his back in his first start of the season. He'll look to continue to develop and stay healthy as a starter at Low-A for the remainder of the season.
