Wade Miley SP | CIN
Orioles' Wade Miley: Subpar in no-decision Tuesday
Miley allowed four earned runs on eight hits and four walks through five innings in a win over Detroit on Tuesday. He struck out three and received a no-decision.
Much like last week's outing, Miley labored to get through five innings, throwing 109 pitches; the four walks didn't help matters. He now has 27 walks through just eight starts, a number which definitely isn't in line with his 3.02 ERA on the season. The strikeout stuff is where his real fantasy value has come into play this season (9.9 K/9), but he didn't have it Tuesday. He'll take the mound again on Sunday at home against Toronto.

Jason Hammel SP | TEX
Royals' Jason Hammel: Roughed up by Yankees on Tuesday
Hammel (1-5) gave up five runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Yankees. He failed to strike out a batter.
Both Gary Sanchez and Chris Carter took him deep as Hammel was charged with at least five runs for the third time in his last four starts. His 6.20 ERA on the season has been partially the result of bad luck, as both his .365 BABIP and 66.2 percent strand rate are due for some positive regression, but there's no hiding his 3.8 BB/9 (Hammel's worst since he became a full-time starter in 2009) or 1.3 HR/9. He'll make his next trip to the mound Sunday on the road against the Twins.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Red Sox's Eduardo Rodriguez: Makes fifth straight quality start
Rodriguez (2-1) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Cardinals.
This was Rodriguez's fifth straight quality start, a span in which he's posted a 2.40 ERA, struck out 32 and allowed one home run in 30 innings. The Red Sox have been waiting three seasons for Rodriguez to become the consistent starter he's showed thus far in 2017. They'd like to see him get deeper into games -- his average start this season is 5.7 innings and 101 pitches -- but he's been a big aid to a team dealing with injuries in the rotation. His next start is scheduled for Sunday on the road against Oakland, a team that ranks 26th in runs scored.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Rangers' Yu Darvish: Wins third straight decision Tuesday
Darvish (4-2) gave up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven innings in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Phillies.
He fired an impressive 70 of 95 pitches for strikes in recording his fifth straight quality start and seventh in nine outings. Darvish still hasn't quite returned to his pre-surgery form -- his current 9.4 K/9 would be a career low since coming over from Japan -- but fantasy GMs have no complaints about his 2.76 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. The 30-year-old will next take the mound Sunday in Detroit.

Jake Odorizzi SP | TB
Rays' Jake Odorizzi: Allows four runs in win over Indians
Odorizzi (3-2) allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk across six innings in Tuesday's win over the Indians. He struck out five.
Odorizzi cruised into the sixth inning with just one run on his ledger but saw that diminish after a Cleveland rally, which ended with a two-run home run by Edwin Encarnacion, brought three more around. He was able to finish out the frame, however, and wound up with an impressive win over one of the best teams in baseball. Despite missing a couple of weeks due to injury, Odorizzi has picked up right where he left off and now owns a tidy 3.16 ERA to go along with a tremendous 0.89 WHIP through 37 innings pitched. He seems to be truly emerging as a front-line pitcher in 2017 and will look to keep it going Monday against the Angels.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Cruises to seventh win
Keuchel (7-0) allowed two runs on four hits while striking out five over five innings in Tuesday's 12-2 win over Miami.
The Marlins reached Keuchel for a couple of first-inning runs on soft contact, but the left-hander quickly settled in and shut down Miami over the next four innings. The Astros put up crooked numbers in four of the first five innings to take an eight-run lead, which made it an easy and early night for Keuchel, who has now given up two or fewer runs in eight of his nine starts. His next turn through the five-man rotation comes Monday against the Tigers, though with a day off this week, he could pitch the series finale against Cleveland on Sunday on normal rest.

Nolan Watson P | SD
Royals' Nolan Watson: To be shut down due to injury
Watson received an anti-inflammatory shot in his shoulder Tuesday and will be shut down for a few weeks, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
Watson, in his third season within the Royals' organization, has posted a 5.71 ERA and a 26:18 K:BB ratio over his first 34.2 innings with Single-A Lexington. He'll take a few weeks to allow his injured shoulder time to heal before returning to Lexington's starting rotation sometime during June.

James Paxton SP | BOS
Mariners' James Paxton: Working toward late-May return
Manager Scott Servais reported Tuesday that Paxton (forearm) will require a rehab start and likely won't be activated from the disabled list until the end of the Mariners' upcoming eight-game road trip, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Paxton is expected to throw a bullpen session Wednesday or Thursday followed by a minor-league rehab start. The Mariners' upcoming road trip runs from May 23 to May 30, so based upon the manager's comments, it's looking like Paxton is targeting a late-May return, barring any setbacks.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Indians' Mike Clevinger: Tabbed for one more start
Clevinger will start Saturday's game against the Astros.
After his last start, it was unclear if Clevinger would make another start in the big leagues this time around, but it seems that Corey Kluber (back) won't be ready to come back from the DL by the time that spot in the rotation comes around. Barring any changes, this would line up Clevinger to duel Houston starter Mike Fiers in a matinee matchup.

Carlos Carrasco RP | ATL
Indians' Carlos Carrasco: Next start pushed back
Carrasco (pectoral) will make his next start Tuesday, May 23 against the Reds.
"Cookie" left Monday's start due to a bout of pectoral tightness, and although the injury isn't thought to be very serious, he'll slide back two days to get a bit of extra rest. As a result of this move, Danny Salazar will move up to start Sunday's series finale with the Astros and Josh Tomlin will jump up to take on the Reds on Monday. This unfortunately takes Carrasco out of a two-start week this week, but the Indians don't have an off-day next week, so barring any setbacks, he should be in line for two starts next week.
