Jose Berrios SP | TOR
Twins' Jose Berrios: Dominates in first Triple-A outing
Berrios threw six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and one walk Saturday in his first start for Triple-A Rochester.
Berrios may have won the fifth starter role in spring training, but he wasn't seen as ready for the start of the season after throwing too few innings while pitching for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic. He could be called up to the majors after a few starts if he continues to pitch like he did Saturday.

Adalberto Mejia SP | MIN
Twins' Adalberto Mejia: Struggles in first major-league start
Mejia gave up two earned runs and lasted just 1.2 innings and didn't record a strikeout in his first big-league start in Saturday's loss to the White Sox.
Mejia struggled to throw strikes as he walked two batters. Mejia will likely get another few starts as the fifth starter before he'd be in danger of losing the job. Hopefully his poor outing Saturday was just due to being nervous.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Robbed of win by bullpen
Keuchel allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Royals.
Keuchel pitched brilliantly and efficiently (93 pitches, 61 strikes) before leaving the game to the capable right arm of Luke Gregerson, who submitted a career-worst performance. A win was snatched away from the Astros ace, but we like to accentuate the positive. It was a second straight dominating start for Keuchel, whose shoulder was a major concern during spring training. Gregerson, quite obviously, was the culprit Saturday, but Houston hitters are doing little to support the starters. The Astros are hitting .227 (22nd) over their first six games and have scored three or fewer runs in five of those games.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Rangers' Yu Darvish: Suffers tough-luck loss to Athletics
Darvish (0-1) struck out five and allowed one run on four hits and three walks across six innings during Saturday's loss to the Athletics.
Darvish didn't have his best stuff in this one, but he routinely battled back in the count and only yielded a run in the sixth inning via groundout after he allowed two men to reach. Unfortunately the Rangers' offense was stifled by Kendall Graveman until the seventh inning, eliminating any chance Darvish had to pick up a win. Entering the season with the highest K/9 rate in MLB history for a minimum of 100 starts, Darvish has underachieved in that category thus far, whiffing just nine batters through 12 frames. He has still been solid despite not measuring up to an extremely high bar through two starts and will look to put it all together Thursday against the Angels.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Falls short of five innings Saturday
Gausman tossed 4.2 innings, surrendering four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four Yankees in a no-decision Saturday.
Filling in for Chris Tillman (shoulder) as the team's ace hasn't gone well through two outings for Gausman. The right-hander has allowed 13 hits while posting an 8:7 K:BB through 10 innings so far. He looked uncomfortable to say the least, falling behind hitters (he only threw 12 first-pitch strikes over 24 batters Saturday) and even being called for a balk against the Yankees. Gausman will get the ball again Thursday in Toronto for his next start.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Athletics' Sonny Gray: Will throw bullpen session Monday
Gray (back) will throw an extended bullpen session Monday in Kansas City, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Gray threw a 35-pitch bullpen session Friday, with 10 of those pitches coming with Mark Canha standing in the box. It seems like he will up the workload slightly in Monday's session, after which a rehab assignment plan could be announced.

Chris Bassitt SP | BAL
Athletics' Chris Bassitt: Will throw to hitters Sunday
Bassitt (elbow) will throw to hitters again Sunday in Stockton, the John Hickey of the East Bay Times reports.
Bassitt faced live hitters for the first time Wednesday and seems to be steadily progressing. A rehab assignment should be right around the corner. Sonny Gray (back) is also making progress in his rehab, and when healthy he figures to replace Raul Alcantara, so Bassitt might be relegated to Triple-A or a relief role.

Jordan Montgomery RP | TEX
Yankees' Jordan Montgomery: Presumed favorite for No. 5 starter spot
Montgomery appears to be the favorite to be the Yankees' No. 5 starter, MLB.com's Byran Hoch reports.
His next start will come with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, while Chad Green will start on the same day for Double-A Trenton. The Yankees need a fifth starter on April 16, but could then go with a four-man rotation again until the last weekend in April. Montgomery has some appeal as a speculative stash in deeper leagues as a lefty who sits in the low-90s with his fastball and features solid command and a four-pitch mix.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Changeup returns
Keuchel threw a total of 15 changeups during his Opening Day start against the Mariners, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports. The left-hander all but abandoned the pitch last season when he pitched through a shoulder injury.
The return of Keuchel's changeup, his third most frequent pitch thrown during his Cy Young-winning season in 2015, is a positive sign. It's something the Royals will have to keep in mind when facing Keuchel on Saturday night at Minute Maid Park.

Luis Severino SP | ATH
Yankees' Luis Severino: Saddled with no decision
Severino tossed five innings while allowing four runs and striking out six in a no-decision against the Orioles on Friday.
Severino was done in by a three-run homer with two outs in the fifth, but even still he left the game in line for the win with the Yankees leading 5-4. With the bullpen unable to maintain the lead, the 23-year-old righty remained 0-8 in 13 starts since September of 2015. He'll look to end that skid when he takes the mound next time out Wednesday against the Rays.
