Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Not close to resuming throwing program
General manager Jeff Luhnow indicated Monday that Keuchel (shoulder) won't throw anytime soon, MLB.com reports. "Still not throwing, so the more days that go by without throwing, the longer it's going to take him to ramp up," Luhnow said. "We'd have to go to pretty deep into the postseason for that even to be a consideration."
With that, Keuchel's 2016 season ends with a whimper. His follow-up to last year's Cy Young campaign was a major disappointment, as Keuchel went 9-12 with a 4.55 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 26 starts. The lefty's FIP shot up by nearly a run, as his strikeout and walk rates both went in the wrong directions, but Keuchel was showing some signs of improvement in the second half before going down with the shoulder injury. He will make for an intriguing middle-rounds rebound candidate next spring.

Taijuan Walker SP | LAA
Mariners' Taijuan Walker: Takes 11th loss against Blue Jays
Walker (6-11) allowed three runs on five hits and four walks with six strikeouts over 5.1 innings in Monday's loss to the Blue Jays.
He was nasty at times, as the Mariners swung and missed nine times at 93 Walker offerings. But Walker was touched up for a two-run homer by Edwin Encarnacion, the 25th home run he has allowed in just 23 starts. He has shown signs of life, such as the shutout that he threw the last time out against the Angels, but Walker has a brutal 5.84 ERA since his return to the majors Aug. 6 and doesn't look like he has turned the corner just yet.

Martin Perez SP | ATL
Rangers' Martin Perez: Gives up two runs in no-decision
Perez allowed just two runs on four hits and didn't walk a batter over seven innings but left with a no-decision Monday against the Angels.
Perez has a four-game quality start streak as he has found his top form of the season at exactly the right time for the Rangers. He has allowed just six earned runs over 25.1 innings (2.13 ERA) in those four starts despite a mediocre 15:8 K:BB. But Perez has a great defense pitching behind him (and now an excellent defensive catcher in Jonathan Lucroy), and his pitch-to-contact style has been perfect for the back of the Rangers' rotation this season.

Dylan Bundy SP | NYM
Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Loses rematch with Red Sox
Bundy (9-6) went five innings in a rematch with the Red Sox on Monday, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in a losing effort.
Bundy beat the Red Sox his last time out, but Mookie Betts and David Ortiz got the best of him Monday, as they both hit two-run homers. After coming back from the career-derailing injuries of the past few seasons, Bundy's been solid for the Orioles in 2016, sporting a solid 9-6 record and 4.13 ERA. But he's run up his pitch count with walks lately, walking 15 over his last five starts and failing to finish six innings in any of those. He'll look to rebound against the Diamondbacks on Saturday as the Orioles continue battling for a playoff spot.

Carlos Rodon SP | NYY
White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Suffers second straight six-run implosion
Rodon (7-10) was beaten up for six runs on eight hits and a walk over just four innings in Monday's loss to the Royals.
Just to put it into perspective how bad Rodon was, he threw 96 pitches in his four-plus frames -- only 10 fewer than opposing starter Yordano Ventura tossed while posting a complete-game win on the other end. It was the fifth inning when the wheels really came off for the second-year lefty, who gave up an RBI single and then a three-run homer to end his day. After a red-hot run, the 2014 No. 3 overall pick has given up six runs in two straight outings. He'll look to turn it around Sunday against the Indians, but they were responsible for his other six-run game last week.

Lance McCullers SP | MIL
Astros' Lance McCullers: To throw off mound in next couple of days
McCullers (elbow) will throw off a mound Tuesday or Wednesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
McCullers hasn't pitched since sustaining a mild elbow strain Aug. 3. It's still unclear whether McCullers will be able to return during the regular season, but a return for the wild-card game or subsequent playoff series may be a possibility. We'll have to wait and see how he feels after his throwing session before we know more.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Athletics' Sonny Gray: To throw off mound again Tuesday
Gray will throw off the mound Tuesday and could potentially make one start before the end of the regular season, Joe Stiglich of CSN Bay Area reports.
Gray will face live hitters before he retakes the mound for the Athletics, which would place his return at least a week away, most likely. That would give Gray just a few days to make a start before the season ends. Even if Gray is able to return, expect his impact to be limited.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Orioles' Wade Miley: Feeling better Monday
Miley (back) is feeling better Monday following his early exit from Sunday's game, Eddie Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Miley exited Sunday's game with a strained muscle in his back, but it's apparently nothing serious, as he went through a throwing session Monday afternoon. The left-hander's next start does not appear to be in much jeopardy, but he should still be considered day-to-day until the team officially confirms he's moved past the injury.

Kyle Gibson SP | BAL
Twins' Kyle Gibson: Gives up three runs in loss
Gibson (6-10) gave up three earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and a walk over five innings in Sunday's loss to the Mets.
Gibson gave up two runs in the first inning, but recovered to at least give his team five frames. He has two more starts to improve on a disappointing season, as he owns a 5.10 ERA thanks to K/9, BB/9 and HR/9 rates that are all worse than last year's.

Jake Odorizzi SP | TB
Rays' Jake Odorizzi: Sharp in Sunday no-decision
Odorizzi didn't factor into the decision Sunday versus the Orioles but gave up only an earned run on five hits over six innings. He struck out three.
The right-hander certainly wasn't to blame, shutting down a potent Orioles lineup on the road over his 105 pitches, 71 of which he threw for strikes. His only hiccup was the 407-foot solo shot he surrendered to Manny Machado in the sixth, making it four straight starts that Odorizzi has given up at least one round-tripper. The outing Sunday represented the 26-year-old's sixth quality start in the last seven trips to the mound, a successful stretch he'll look to extend when he faces the Red Sox next Sunday.
