Alex Meyer SP | LAA
Angels' Alex Meyer: Traded to Angels
Meyer was traded to the Angels along with Ricky Nolasco and cash for Hector Santiago and Alan Busenitz, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Meyer hasn't pitched since May 3 due to shoulder inflammation, although he recently started playing catch. The 2011 first-round draft pick was once Minnesota's top starting pitching prospect, but struggled in the majors and moved to the bullpen. He moved back to the rotation this spring before his shoulder injury. It's not clear whether the Angels regard him as a starter or reliever, but he still has some time to fulfill his promise, as he's just 26 years old.

Ricky Nolasco SP | ARI
Angels' Ricky Nolasco: Traded to Angels
Nolasco was traded to the Angels on Monday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
The Angels are also receiving Alex Meyer in the trade, which sends Hector Santiago to Minnesota along with reliever Alan Busenitz. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Twins are believed to be sending cash to the Angels to offset some of the remaining money on Nolasco's contract, which runs through the end of 2017. Nolasco figures to slot into an Angels rotation that has been ravaged by injuries this season.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Astros' Joe Musgrove: Will not start Monday
Musgrove will not start Monday against the Blue Jays, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
He was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Fresno over the weekend with Doug Fister's status for Monday in limbo, but Musgrove's major league debut will have to wait, as the veteran will indeed take his turn in the rotation. After allowing just one earned run over 26.1 innings with Double-A Corpus Christi to start the year, Musgrove has posted a 3.81 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 57:7 K:BB in 59 innings with Fresno. He makes for a viable stash across many formats.

Jose Berrios SP | TOR
Twins' Jose Berrios: Recalled ahead of Monday's start
Berrios was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Monday.
The 22-year-old was brought back ahead of Monday's start against the Indians -- which will be his first start with the big club since May 16 -- to replace the struggling Tyler Duffey in the Twins' rotation. Berrios struggled mightily during his initial call-up, allowing 17 runs on 20 hits and 12 walks over 15 innings, but he's gotten on track with Rochester and figures to stick in the rotation the rest of the way, assuming he keeps the walks in check this time around.

Frankie Montas RP | NYM
Athletics' Frankie Montas: Traded to Oakland
Montas has been traded to the A's as part of a five-player trade Monday that will send Rich Hill and Josh Reddick to the Dodgers, Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports.
Although he's not expected to return to the mound until September, the A's are getting a quality arm capable of helping their staff in 2017, and it's reasonable to think that Oakland will try to continue Montas' development as a starter given their organizational needs in the rotation. A pair of rib injuries have limited Montas to 16 innings between Double-A and Triple-A this season, but he's impressed with a 22:3 K:BB over those frames.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Can't keep ball in park Sunday
Keuchel (6-11) gave up seven runs on seven hits (including two home runs) and three walks over five innings while striking out four in Sunday's loss to the Tigers.
James McCann's first-inning grand slam set the tone for what ended up being an 11-0 rout by Detroit. Keuchel didn't have much trouble finding the plate Sunday, throwing 51 of 83 pitches for strikes and starting 18 of 24 batters off with first-pitch strikes, but Tigers hitters punished the mistakes he made in the zone. He'll need to be sharper in his next start, as he'll face off in a home tilt against another dangerous offense in the Rangers on Friday.

Corey Kluber SP | BOS
Indians' Corey Kluber: Cruises through seven scoreless frames to get 10th win Sunday
Kluber (10-8) scattered five hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven scoreless innings Sunday to get the win over Oakland.
The closest the A's came to getting a run home came in the seventh inning, as they had runners on second and third with one out, but Kluber calmly got Max Muncy to pop up before Ryon Healy flied out to end the threat. The right-hander put together his second straight strong month in July, posting a 2.51 ERA and 35:10 K:BB in 32.1 innings across five starts, and Kluber will look to carry that momentum forward into August when he makes a road start against the Yankees on Friday.
-
Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Athletics' Sonny Gray: Hit hard in Sunday's loss
Gray (5-10) coughed up seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings Sunday in an 8-0 loss to the Indians.
Pitching on short rest did Gray no favors Sunday, as he wasn't fooling Indians hitters at all. No one will be happier to see the calendar flip to August than Gray, who gave up seven runs three times in six July starts, leading to a bloated 7.79 ERA for the month. He's got a tough matchup in his next start, though, as the A's host the Cubs on Saturday.

Carlos Rodon SP | NYY
White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Suffers loss in return from disabled list Sunday
Rodon (2-8) allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven over 6.1 innings to take the loss Sunday at the Twins.
In his return from the disabled list, Rodon (wrist) gave up three runs in the first inning, and the White Sox offense was unable to erase the deficit, leading to his eighth loss of 2016. He's now allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last three starts to raise his ERA to 4.67 on the season. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Orioles.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Orioles' Wade Miley: Acquired by Orioles
Miley has been acquired by the Orioles, Jon Heyman of Fanrag Sports reports.
The lefty owns a rough 4.98 ERA over 19 starts but is working on a streak of three consecutive quality starts and struck out a season-high nine batters his last time out Saturday against the Cubs. The Orioles' entire rotation is composed of right-handed pitchers right now, so Miley gives them a valuable option to put into their rotation. Miley will likely slot into Ubaldo Jimenez's old rotation slot, as he owns a brutal 7.06 ERA and 1.95 WHIP over 18 starts in 2016. The Mariners acquired minor league starter Ariel Miranda in exchange for Miley.
