Kyle Gibson SP | BAL
Twins' Kyle Gibson: Quality start versus Angels
Gibson allowed just two runs with four strikeouts and two walks across seven innings in Sunday's start against the Angels. He did not factor into the decision.
After failing to make it out of the sixth inning in either of his first two outings, Gibson hung on to deliver his first quality start of 2016. He also posted season-lows in walks and hits allowed, as his only real blemish came on a two-run dinger by Albert Pujols in the first inning. A relatively thin pitching staff will require solid outings such as this from Gibson this season, and he will look to deliver versus Washington Friday in his next start.

Chris Bassitt SP | BAL
Athletics' Chris Bassitt: Receives no decision
Bassitt allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings, but received no decision Sunday against the Royals.
Bassitt gave up two runs in the first three innings, but settled down and didn't allow another run. The offense picked him up by scoring runs late to take him off the hook for a possible loss. After struggling in his first start, he's only allowed two earned runs over 14 innings covering his next two nods. He'll make his next start Friday at Toronto.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Might make another rehab start
Gausman (shoulder) might make another rehab appearance before being activated from the DL, MASN Sports reports.
This is not welcome news to owners, who originally thought the Orioles might activate Gausman as soon as April 10. Now he seems likely to be pushed back yet again. Gausman has allowed three runs -- one earned -- on eight hits with three walks and 10 strikeouts in 5.1 innings during his two rehab appearances thus far. The Orioles benefitted from a rainout Sunday and an off day Monday and that could push Gausman's return to next weekend. In order to make that happen, the Orioles would have to give Gausman a shortened start this week before calling his number to replace Vance Worley or Mike Wright in the rotation.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
White Sox's Jose Quintana: Takes loss Sunday despite quality start
Quintana (1-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits over six innings Sunday, striking out six, but took the loss as the White Sox fell, 3-2, to the Rays.
As has been the story of his career, Quintana was effective but didn't get the run support he needed to pick up a win. He now has a 2.55 ERA and strong 18 strikeouts versus three walks through 17.2 innings (three starts), but faces a potentially tough matchup Friday at home against the Rangers.

Lance McCullers SP | MIL
Astros' Lance McCullers: Plays catch Sunday
McCullers (shoulder) played catch on Sunday morning, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Eyebrows were raised when McCullers was scratched from his scheduled rehab start Saturday, and it's still not clear when he will take the mound next, but it's a good sign that he was able to throw the ball just one day later. Manager A.J. Hinch said McCullers felt good after Sunday's session, so there's reason to believe he may be able to resume his rehab assignment at some point this week.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Rangers' Yu Darvish: On track for rehab assignment beginning next week
Darvish (elbow) is on track to begin a rehab assignment early next week, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Darvish tossed his second live batting practice session Sunday and will throw another such session Thursday before the Rangers determine a rehab schedule for their ace, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery. After being sidelined for a full calendar year following the procedure, Darvish figures to see his workload increase slowly during his rehab, so it wouldn't be surprising if he doesn't rejoin the Rangers' rotation until the second half of May.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Red Sox's Eduardo Rodriguez: Sim game scheduled Monday
Rodriguez (knee) is scheduled to throw a simulated game Monday, the Boston Globe reports.
Rodriguez is expected to up his pitch count, after throwing 50 during a simulated game last Wednesday. If all goes well, we expect him to go out on a minor league rehabilitation assignment.

Sonny Gray SP | BOS
Athletics' Sonny Gray: Notches second win of season Saturday
Gray (2-1) surrendered seven hits, two runs (one earned) and a walk over six innings in Saturday's 5-3 victory over the Royals. He struck out six.
The 26-year-old right-hander threw 114 pitches over his time on the mound, notching first-pitch strikes on 20 of 26 batters. While he labored at times, he successfully stranded six runners, including four in scoring position. It was Gray's first victory against the Royals in four career starts, leaving the Red Sox as the only team in the majors he hasn't notched a win against. The Oakland ace has started out the season in fine fashion, going at least six innings in all three starts, surrendering only one homer, and tallying 17 strikeouts and a 2.33 ERA over his first 19.1 innings.

Justin Verlander SP | DET
Tigers' Justin Verlander: Earns first victory of 2016
Verlander (1-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings, and earned the win Saturday at the Astros.
Verlander gave up a pair of first-inning homers before settling down and not allowing another run to score in his remaining five innings of work. Although he got bombed in his last outing, he now has posted quality starts in two of his three appearances, though he's yet to give up fewer than three runs in any game. He'll make his next start Friday against the Indians.

Ricky Nolasco SP | ARI
Twins' Ricky Nolasco: Gets no decision despite seven solid innings Saturday
Nolasco did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-4 victory over the Angels. He surrendered nine hits, four earned runs and two walks over seven innings, while also fanning three.
The veteran righty completed seven innings for the second time in two starts, and only ran into trouble in the second inning. He surrendered all four runs in that frame off five straight hits, blowing an early 2-0 lead. He was sharp otherwise, throwing 65 of his 100 pitches for strikes while also getting first-pitch strikes on 18 of 30 batters he faced. He's yet to figure into a decision in 2016 despite his pair of solid outings, and will try to notch his first win next Thursday versus the Brewers.
