  • Luis Castillo SP | SEA

Mariners' Luis Castillo: Blanks Twins in no-decision

Castillo didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Minnesota, allowing four hits and two walks with five strikeouts over six scoreless innings.

No runs were scored until the seventh inning of Sunday's contest, leaving Castillo without the victory despite the excellent outing. The 32-year-old has now logged four consecutive quality starts, and he owns a 1.44 ERA and a 22:5 K:BB during that stretch. While his strikeout rate is down from 9.0 K/9 in 2024 to 7.2 K/9 in 2025, Castillo holds a 3.03 ERA, which would be his best since 2022. He's expected to pitch next weekend against the Angels.

  • Chris Paddack RP | TEX

Twins' Chris Paddack: Throws eight strong innings

Paddack didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over eight innings. He struck out 10.

Paddack threw 110 pitches Sunday, and despite notching his fifth career start with double-digit strikeouts and allowing merely one run, he didn't receive enough run support to land the win. Paddack blanked the Mariners until the seventh inning when Cal Raleigh clubbed a solo home run. In his last five starts, Paddack has a 1.64 ERA and a 26:4 K:BB over 33 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Blue Jays his next time out.

  • Taj Bradley SP | MIN

Rays' Taj Bradley: Fans 10 in tough-luck loss

Bradley (4-5) took the loss Sunday against Houston, allowing one unearned run on three hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out 10.

Bradley and Hunter Brown were locked into a pitchers' duel Sunday, with the duo combining to allow just four hits and zero earned runs. So, a fielding error by Junior Caminero followed by an RBI single by Christian Walker was enough to give Bradley his third loss in his last four starts. Bradley has allowed fewer than three earned runs in six of his last seven starts, and he's now thrown seven innings in back-to-back outings. On the year, Bradley has a 3.95 ERA and a 64:27 K:BB over 70.2 innings. He's on track to face the Marlins next time out.

  • Hunter Brown SP | HOU

Astros' Hunter Brown: Fires six scoreless frames

Brown (8-3) picked up the win Sunday against Tampa Bay, allowing one hit and four walks with five strikeouts over six scoreless innings.

Only 49 of Brown's 93 pitches found the strike zone Sunday, but he navigated the lack of control masterfully to notch his fifth scoreless start of the campaign. Brown's four walks tied his season high, and his one hit allowed was a season best. However, Brown failed to strike out eight batters for just the second time in eight starts. In 12 appearances this season, Brown has a sparkling 1.83 ERA and an 84:20 K:BB over 73.2 innings, and he leads MLB in quality starts with 10. His next start is tentatively scheduled to come against the Guardians in Cleveland.

  • Jackson Nezuh SP | HOU

Astros' Jackson Nezuh: Shut down at Double-A

Double-A Corpus Christi placed Nezuh on its 7-day injured list Friday due to an unspecified injury.

A 23-year-old righty, Nezuh compiled a 4.98 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB over 34.1 innings in his eight appearances (seven starts) with Corpus Christi before being deactivated.

  • Jose Fleury SP | HOU

Astros' Jose Fleury: Shelved at Double-A

Double-A Corpus Christi placed Fleury on its 7-day injured list May 18 due to an unspecified injury.

The Astros have yet to provide information on the nature of Fleury's injury, but he's now been sidelined since mid-May and remains without a clear timeline for a return. Before being shut down, Fleury made seven starts for Corpus Christi and delivered a 2.25 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 34:9 K:BB across 32 innings.

  • Angels' Jack Kochanowicz: Coughs up four runs

Kochanowicz (3-7) yielded four runs on five hits and three walks over 3.2 innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against Cleveland.

Kochanowicz delivered two scoreless frames to open the game before coughing up a run in the third inning. The Guardians then scored three in the fourth inning, including one on a solo shot by Jose Ramirez. Kochanowicz has given up four runs in three straight outings, raising his ERA from 4.71 to 5.34 in the process. He threw just 48 of 84 pitches for strikes Sunday in his shortest outing of the year. Kochanowicz is currently slated to face the Mariners at home next weekend.

  • Gavin Williams SP | CLE

Guardians' Gavin Williams: Fans six in win

Williams (5-3) yielded two unearned runs on one hit and two walks over 6.2 innings, striking out six and earning a win over the Angels on Sunday.

Williams fired six scoreless frames before the Angels finally plated a pair of runs in the seventh inning. Both runs scored after he was removed from the game but were unearned due to a fielding error by Gabriel Arias. Williams threw 60 of 103 pitches for strikes but generated only 11 whiffs. He threw a season-high 109 pitches in his previous outing. Williams dropped his ERA to 3.79 with a shaky 66:34 K:BB through 59.1 frames. His next start is projected to be a home matchup with the Astros.

  • Keider Montero SP | DET

Tigers' Keider Montero: Pitches well in no-decision

Montero did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Royals, allowing seven hits and one walk while striking out two over 4.2 scoreless innings.

Montero threw 53 of 72 pitches for strikes and departed one out short of qualifying for the win. The 24-year-old has now tossed back-to-back scoreless outings but has failed to complete five innings in three of his six starts this season. He'll carry a 4.02 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB across 40.1 innings into what will likely be a home matchup against the Cubs next weekend.

  • Kris Bubic SP | KC

Royals' Kris Bubic: Goes seven in tough-luck loss

Bubic (5-3) took the loss against the Tigers on Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with nine strikeouts over seven innings.

Bubic induced a whopping 18 whiffs on 99 pitches and allowed just one run on a wild pitch in the third inning. He has now worked seven frames in four of his past five starts, recording nine punchouts three times in that span. The southpaw leads the majors with a 1.43 ERA and carries a 1.00 WHIP and 79:22 K:BB across 75.1 innings. He's slated for a favorable road matchup against the White Sox next weekend.
